Out of all the Sleep Token songs I expected to see on this list, something from One was definitely not it. Then I listened to the full song before proceeding with this and I immediately understood once I heard the breakdown. Thread the Needle is so so serene and pure yet so weird and gnarly lmao, I love it
I gotta say Death Empress by Disembodied Tyrant definitely belongs on this list. Loveless Suffering by Distant could also be here with the contents of the music video
Into the Earth is one of my favorite Lorna Shore songs but I can't watch the music video. Way too scary for me. I'm a total baby when it comes to scary movies/shows.
Not breakdowns or metal specifically but Daughters ‘You wont get what you want’ and Lingua Ignotas ‘Caligula’ are some really unsettling albums to listen to. IYKYK

Breakdowns today have no soul. Machine Head(Davidian), Pantera(Domination), Slayer(Reigning Blood), and Sepultura(Dead Embryonic Cells, Propaganda) breakdowns are in much higher tunings and still capture the heaviness. The peak was 2004-2010. Todays it's all just silly...
