Not much into this kinda music, I like certain metal but not recent stuff. Not much of a fan of punk either, but ska-inspired metal is pretty good, and usually weird
Hey man, this was fantastic and thanks for the shout out. A while back Spencer kept texting me all these questions about stuff like the name of the camp and if I kept and cell phone photos from the making of the videos and would only say that is was “for a surprise.” This was a nice surprise. I’m glad you enjoyed them (and the reason the news said seven but you only counted six kills in TGIF was we had another scene where JD got killed but had to cut it for timing reasons but didn’t go back and edit the news blotter.)
Two things I want to mention: 1. I love how Spencer had Psycho 1998 on the TV while doing an interview. Chelsea would be proud. 2. Because of the sponsor, it is now my headcanon that every kill count is just James talking to his therapist about different horror media, with Zoran and Chelsea being two different personalities.
@@oscardepaz3063 well if I were to use a similar Metaphor, James having the same inter mental conflict as Billy Butcher with Chelsea being the Angel on one shoulder like Becca and Zoran being the Devil on the other shoulder like Joe Kessler.
Ice Nine Kills used to be a little too scene for me but when The Silver Scream came out they really came into their own commercially and artistically the whole album has a refined melodic sensibility that really makes it a cut above the rest
2:12 How did you get this footage of me talking about horror movies at my therapist's appointments?? HUGE fan of Ice Nine Kills! Thank you all for doing this!
Let's gooo!!! Ice Nine Kills fucking rules! I saw them last December and it was the best concert I've ever been to. Thank you Spencer for stepping on my hand 🙏❤️ Can't wait to see them again. Thanks to Dead Meat for introducing me to them!!
I found INK and Dead Meat completely by accident (oddly, both around the same time), and have absolutely fallen in love. I didn't grow up watching horror movies because my parents didn't like them, I think I was 18 when I watched one all the way through and am quickly making up for lost time. Dead Meat is really helping me to develop more of a watch list than just the classics and any blockbusters that get ad time. Watching INK in concert is such a blast! They're so theatrical as well as just excellent performers. I can't wait to see them again!
I love the passion put into these music videos and the references within. And of course, the songs are awesome. I first discovered INK because of James, and I'm glad he finally has a chance to talk more about them and give them the praise they deserve.
I can't believe I haven't discovered these guys til now! This is part of the impact the strike has had, you have shown us more gems like this that might have stayed hidden to us. I'm listening to their album as I type this and it's AMAZING!
I owe a big thank you to James for showing me Ice Nine Kills. It's now my favorite metal band to listen to everyday and one of their songs I want to have as my professional wrestling theme song in the future
So insanely happy this band is finally getting the love they deserve after almost twenty years of me loving everything they drop from Last Chance to Make Amends the first thing I heard by them all the back in 2006 to now. Its all solid gold
I discovered Ice Nine Kills from your american physco video about a year ago when you played some of their music. Ever since they've become one of my favourite bands; Ive bought most of their albums and seen them live. Thanks so much for introducing me to this amazing band!
6:50 Fun fact Patrick Galante didn’t actually drum on this album at all. He was hired afterwards for the music videos and tour. The drums were actually programmed in my JD. 👍
I’m so glad you guys did this. I actually got into Ice Nine Kills because of the podcast and I’m so glad they got to come full circle and have those excellent videos counted. #lovingtheweirdera
Saw them live in sacramento this past summer as my first concert. They had amazing stage presence, and even had a little pause to make sure that a fan didnt collapse, but without breaking character.
I had the IMMENSE pleasure of working with Paul Taft on a voice over project for my theater group. The man is talented beyond belief, and he made the scene I wrote come to life!
I've watched this twice through already. Dead Meat + INK is the perfect combo. Very much looking forward to you Kill Counting the Welcome To Horrorwood series once it's concluded.
I got into Ice Nine Kills because James showed his cameo in Assault and Batteries in the Friday 2 recount. I love that my favorite channel and band are so connected. I hope to see more INK on the kill count in the future
James I genuinely have to thank you for this video, I had never given Ice Nine a chance of listening, and that was my mistake. Watched this video last night and I've not stopped watching their music videos or listening to the albums since. they're awesome and I love their concept. Switching from counting the kills in horror movies to media was one of the best ideas ever, James! Already counted the deaths to one of my favorite bands and favorite video game series! ❤

I'm loving weird era Kill Count, not just for seeing some of my favourite horror media in the spotlight, but also learning about cool new stuff like Ice Nine Kills. Keep up the great work, dude. ^_^
Only one thing to say: FUCK YEAH!!! I'm so happy y'all made this. And it hopefully means more recognition for INK and possibly even bands like Motionless in White. This Kill Count was just meant to be. Very well done, James and everyone else 🖤🤘

Honestly, i hope even after the stricks, the dead meat team will still do other types of kill counts, cause the past few kill counts (especially the MK 9 one) have been some of my favorites
James I gotta thank you for introducing me to Ice Nine Kills, I’ve seen Welcome to Horrorwood but didn’t listen to any other songs of theirs, but I decided to listen to other songs after watching this Kill Count and really liked both Silver Scream albums
I hope I get to see these guys live one day. They were performing on Friday at Inkcarceration back in 2021, but we only stayed for Sunday. It was still a fun time, though.
Thank you, James, for this video. I only started listening to them because of this video, and they're awesome. I've been listening to them consistently since the video.

I just saw them live on Saturday in Orlando and I have got to say I have never had a band become an instant favorite like INK did that night. The theatrics on stage were phenomenal and the vocals were to die for (pun intended). I think the coolest part was Spencer being held up by members of the crowd during one of the songs. Such an unforgettable experience.
Amazing to see Ice Nine Kills having their own kill count video. Hope there’s more to come, absolutely love this band! I’ve seen them 5 times. Hope to see the silver scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood on the kill count soon! :D
I wasn't able to watch these "weird" videos as they were coming out (life y'know), but I am SO ENJOYING them now. Screaming metal isn't really my jam, but wow these videos look great. And I'll have to check out a couple of the more acoustic type songs!
Mannn the quality of the kill counts just keep doubling every video! Every time I think they have outdone themselves, they just clear it again easily. I love this channel man 😭
After finding INK through your channel they quickly became one of my all time favorites. The style.of all their songs and the horror added to it just makes me love every minute of the experience
To be fair, it can get very confusing when talking about music that mixes heavy metal and hardcore punk, because there are several different subgenres that do this-albeit in different ways-such as thrash metal, crossover thrash, grindcore, metalcore, beatdown, deathcore, slam, and the list goes on.

thanks to dead meat i've discovered this epic band, their songs are so good and full of horror references
im so glad this video is getting more people to listen to ink , they are amazing.
