No, unfortunately, they are not interchangeable. Just wont fit.

I saw you take out the white filter sheet when you removed the first filter. But you didn't put a white sheet back in, when you showed us how to replace the last filter. I gather you do not need a (thin) white sheet? Ty!

Hey Virginia. That is correct. You do not need to insert the Microfiber filter under the charcoal filter. It's actually better if you dont.
