I like the Chrome so much better than the black. For a while Black was super desirable and popular and now seems like everybody's gone to it which seems to me to make the chrome look that much classier.
Chrome looks tacky on all of the new cars. People want a luxury trim with a single color for a clean look. Just a style change in recent years. Chrome is probably the worst feature about the high country/Denali package hence why they have a 2024 high country midnight edition 2500 Silverado coming soon.
Absolutely beautiful. GMC has killed it with the refreshed front end. $90k is ridiculous but I watched JB review a Laramie Ram and it was $96k and missing 360 cameras among other things. So if you go off that 90k is probable ok for a loaded Denali.
I’ve been a ford owner all my life currently have a 2019 f350 king ranch but I’m not a fan of the 23 superduty. After all these years i may be giving the gmc a try this year 😳
Great Job Ben. Great looking truck. Love my Ram 3500 LTD Long Horn Mega Cab but would certainly enjoy owning one of these as well. All the Big 3 make great trucks. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy any of them. If I were rich, I’d own all three😁!
Towing is the primary purpose for these vehicles. Can you do a video on the difference between the 2500 and the 3500? And the effect of adding the Max Trailering Package (MTP) to the 2500. And what components the 3500 still has over the 2500 with MTP. Then what about ride quality of each. Is there a difference. There are a lot of people looking at these trucks to buy for towing. On the GMC Build & Price website, for the 2500 HD - the Max Trailering Package includes: 3500 HD frame 3500 HD Leaf Springs 12" Rear Axel 3500 HD Shock Package

GMC will NEVER surpass ford or Ram. They can add all the tech they want, but in the end, those sludge dipped frames will always be it’s weak point. Who’s going to pay $105k for a truck that will immediately start rusting before it even arrives to the dealership 😂
Sorry, keeping my 2006 F150 as it's paid for long ago, it has been gone through in the last year for 6k and is practically new / refurbished power train now so is going to last ANOTHER 200K while insurance is dirt cheap... And it does everything the new trucks do at thousands and thousands cheaper.
Great job Ben. How can you sell a truck for $90k+ and not have auto up and down window buttons for all 4 driver buttons and the 2 rear passenger buttons. There are tons of other details I could mention. Details can’t be missed with something that cost that much. Another thing if you order this truck with the Vader Chrome how is it that these idiots mix a truck with Vader chrome and it has regular chrome as well. Pure laziness and all GMC designers should be fired. I believe I can have an opinion because I buy these HD GMC trucks.
They did drop the ball with the coloring of Vader chrome it would’ve went better if it was all Vader which is what I plan on doing once I get one is Vader chrome all the little accents that are chrome to please me. I agree about the buttons they are a nice touch if pulled off but it was skipped it’s either this model or next year model hoping they check it all off after hearing feedback
In my opinion, GM/Chevy have historically produced better quality trucks over Ford and Ram. This comment based on the following: better manufacturer quality control, better long-term reliability, better retained resale value, better ride, legendary drive train combined Duramax/Allison, all wheel drive, etc etc. Where GM is falling down today: reduced quality control, increased warranty recalls, drive train failures, ridiculous MSRP, uncommitted to customer order delivery times, uncommitted to long-term truck manufacturing, spread too thin dabbling in the EV space, questionable CEO leadership and intermittent manufacturing schedule.
While GM has made good strides with their interiors, they still have work to do with finish qualities and color. When you are dropping 90K plus on a truck, at least get rid of the alligator skin look and use real leather on the dash, console, and door panels as RAM does. The RAM ofering is stil number 1 with their interiors, the Cummins engine, and the rear air leveling suspension. RAM needs to couple the ZF-8 speed to the Cummins which would put them way out in first place. Poor Ford, I just can't get my head around the aesthetics of the interior or the video-game looks of their dash displays. If I was ordring today, in would be the RAM albeit I would likely swing by a GMC dealer to take a look, things look different in person versus a video so I'm not marking the GMC off my list. I'm not due to replace my 3500 till 2024.
You need to actually look at one before you say what is and isn't real. The Ram interior has nice attention to detail but the new GM interiors are good enough that it's no longer a huge selling point for the Ram.
Ram's interiors are really nice, but GMC's interiors are every bit as nice. The Denali Ultimate comes with just as much, if not more premium materials throughout the interior compared to Ram Limited. The Ultimate comes standard with its trim exclusive premium Full-Grain leather on the upper and lower dash, seats, doors, center console, knee pads, grab handles, etc. It comes standard with the premium suede headliner, real open pore Paldao wood trim from Indonesia found on the doors and upper dash glove box, with laser etched engravings of Mt Denali included. Additionally, genuine brushed Aluminum trim on the steering wheel and dash, with real steel speaker grill covers. Denali Ultimate exclusive Alpine Umber interior color and plated badges in various locations, a combination of the Ultimate's exclusive cross stitching, with regular stich and piping on all doors, upper and lower dash, and seats. With various topographical maps of Mt Denali embossed into the leather door card trims, rear seat pockets, and front and rear seats themselves. The Ram may offer 90% of this, or to a similar fashion, but it requires additional packages to be checked off. All standard on the Denali Ultimate. Some high-end/luxury based features like the power massaging seats and the semi autonomous hands free driving Super Cruise tecnology in the Sierra aren't available in the Ram at all. GM HD trucks also ride very comfortably generally speaking, as they ride on independent front suspension, instead of the solid front axel. The Duramax might not have the biggest numbers out there, but it's a solid powertrain with a bunch of power down low. The 10 speed transmission is also much more responsive compared to the 6 speed in the Ram. Cab space in the Ram HD's are also not on par with GM or Ford. Even Ram's mega cab doesn't match what the others are offering... Ram needs to update their HD's, they're falling behind now.
Both are fantastic, premium trucks. It comes down to preference on aesthetics, engine, options or a combination of all. GM trucks I think offer the most functionality all around and they just made their interiors on the same playing field, if not better, and the sales are showing that.
Ram has a super nice interior, that's for sure. It's nice to be pampered in comfort while you're waiting on the side of the road waiting for the flatbed because your transmission shelled out! Ask me how I know!! 😂
i question the sanity of anyone who would pay over 50k for a pickup truck.especially ones with designed in flaws that keep the dealers parts & service bays full.that way the manafacturers can rape your wallet years after the original sale.
