Most people don't understand how AWESOME of an option the max trailering package is for the 2500HD, on the commercial side.........

JB you got a hell of a camera. Everyone else doing these videos you see tons of flicker because their shutter speed is off (i believe that's the cause, don't crucify me if I'm wrong)
Also I think they got rid of the rear door keyless access according to their manual I was reading.

My 2022 Sierra Denali 2500 has a 2679 gooseneck tongue weight. This one you're showing is 3240. That's a huge increase
JB… great review, I like the cleaner line across the top of the dash. Did the tailgate have speakers or lights in it? What’s your opinion on where the trailer brake is located and now where GM put the light and 4wd controls? Still love my 2020 Denali 3500 but seeing this is giving me lots to think about. Thank you

On the GMC Build & Price website, for the 2500 HD - the Max Trailering Package includes:
3500 HD frame
3500 HD Leaf Springs
12" Rear Axel
3500 HD Shock Package
My question is, what else do you need to have a 3500? There must be something or they wouldn't need to offer the 3500.
This is a great question. I ordered my 2024 AT4 with the Max Trailering and then thought.... Why didn't I just get a 3500? From what I've seen I believe the 3500 has a bit more payload. I may be wrong.
So with the max trailering package, the Crew Cab Short Box 2500HD has a GVWR of 11,750lbs and the Crew Cab Long Box 2500HD has a GVWR of 11,900lbs. The max trailering option on the 2500HD is EXTREMELY attractive for commercial users, I'll explain why. In the commercial relm, you are require to have a Class A CDL if your GCWR is 26,001lbs or more. Some states are different on this rule, PA is one of them. GM and Ram 3500 SRW pickups all have GVWR over 12,000lbs, except for the cab and chaise Ram 3500 SRW which has a GVWR of exactly 12,000lbs. Because most equipment trailers have a GVWR of 14K lbs, you want your tow vehicle to have a GVWR of 12,000lbs or less so your GCWR isn't 26,001 or more so your not required to have a Class A CDL. For me personally I want the GVWR of the tow vehicle at 12,000lbs or as close to 12,000lbs is I can get so I have the most capacity legally. DOT looks at the GVWR on the tow vehicle and trailer and adds the two to determine what your GCWR is. This is the stuff that commercial users MUST pay real close attention to. I'm located in SD and the rule is, you don't have to have a DOT #, Class A CDL or apportioned plates if your GCWR is 26,000lbs or under and your not crossing state lines. Theres little more to what I said, however this gets you an idea on the commercial side. The benefit of 3500 bones on a 2500 is HUGE......

I like Ram. I like the Cummins and the exhaust brake. I have a 21’ 2500 big horn with all the options that had a sticker of 69k. Ram has made very poor decisions in their pricing and options over the last year. Just like your review of the 23’ Laramie for 96k shows, they are getting stupid. If I was looking for a new ram I would definitely think twice after seeing this truck for 8k less that has a lot more options. I hate the wheels though. They would have to go right away.
I agree, the wheel design is ugly.
Is this package only offered with the diesel engine, I tried building it with the gas engine and pretty much says I have to upgrade to the duramax, oh well
So does it have more payload and towing capacity than a regular 2500 or is it just over engineered for reliability?

There is one thing I dislike about the new 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali, it does not have a home-style plug in the rear area like the completion!
Just FYI, it does have that power outlet. It is under the middle console. I have this exact model and spec, the outlet is there. I’m not sure why most reviewers miss that detail.
The frame is a 3500 frame. I'm surprised they let you get inside and start up someone's truck that has already been sold.

i know some review people were talking about not knowing what gear a person was on did GM add that to the 2024 ?
They did not add that, Ford you can see the range and as it shifts it goes to orange from white. Ram you can bring it up, but it resets back to not being shown when you start it.
And still don’t know what gear its in ! Just like my 22 Denali HD

Those rims look like they should be on an SLT model not a Denali
