I saw Roscoe get up and then hobble over, thinking, 'Oh man someone got footage of me getting out of bed in the morning'. Glad he has a happy loving home, woof!
Was amazed by the size of the project when you started (literally)! Now as it's coming together, it's MASSIVE! A monster trucker for the mother tucker! Go Japhands, keep moving forward!
Hahaha 😝 ya man this things BIG lol thanks for watching!
Be careful when you are moving around that heavy metal! i built a car hauler back in 2013 and didn't have any help with the plating for the bed ended up messing up my back moving it myself and haven't been the same since. Love the show, cant wait to see this thing haulin custom rods.
Once we screw up our backs, we're never the same. Trust me I know. 2 rods thru my thorax and another 2 in the lumbar. My was due to lifting heavy artillery shells for 20 years and thinking my body was still only 20 yrs old. Stay strong and use an inversion table if you can hang upside down. Rember to mount your TV upside down, messes with your brain. Those table are a God send, we'll worth $250.
I really enjoy your music selections. This video and previous.
If you trim the bushes around your deck, it makes your deck look a lot bigger.
😆😆😆
Amazing job so far my man! Looks great! It’s sure going to look good with your hotrod sitting on the back
I just noticed how well you plan things out . Your workmanship is top notch! AND your projects are always something to look forward to. Good stuff!
Thanks Dave!
You know someone is a good man when he takes time out from his work to be kind to an old dog. I was also taught to always level, plumb and square your workpiece no matter what that workpiece may be. Humans have an intrinsic sense of plumb and level and when you start square odds are you'll stay square.
I've been watcing Make it Kustom since the beginning because I like dogs and Rosco is the star of the show...only relaised theres a bloke who does 'Kustom' work on this channel too...thats a double win...
Love seeing this coming together! Can’t wait to see it finished! Thanks for the video.
So good to see your lovely lady back, I was afraid to ask where she was, for fear of affending.
Not my lady unfortunately lol that’s Sam she’s rad
Kristina and I are not together
@@MakeItKustom Sorry to hear that Karl. ☺️
You're for the little frenchy i am a very great exemple , thanks for your unbelievable motivation !
Awesome man. Thanks for stopping production to give some attention to the pup. You're a good dude in my book. Awesome build too by the way!
Love the planning! So many channels wing it, go backwards, guess again, go backwards, then finally accept a crappy result.
Yea redos are expensive too!
Still here Karl keep them coming !
I watch your videos and realize that it is important not only to see the beauty around, but also to create it yourself. Thank you for your example! 🌺
My goodness she’s a big girl. I can actually see what the finished project is going to look like now. What is the color scheme going to be? All black frame and maybe a color matched deck and cab? Cannot wait to see it completed.
Good looking bed frame, good job on it and great looking weld job! Thanks for sharing your dog and how good you are taking of him.
Truck is looking awesome Karl. I’ve really enjoyed this entire series right from when you first bought the cab. It’s going to be amazing when it’s done. You may want to think about a headache rack behind the cab tho…
Ya I agree ☝️ need a tack for aure. Why happens in a accident
Man the swing on the back of that frame is going to be huge!
Very nice work!
I like how this is shaping up!
Wow, looking great. Pretty sure that was a suzuki intruder in the background i love my old 1993
You should combine the wall art & make a minichopper, with the long forks/20" front on the mini frame/rear wheel.
Looking awesome Carl!
I would have got some tapered C section in say 10mm / 3/8th thick pressed up for the chassis extension, would have been a more elegant and professional look to it plus put the strength where it was needed and saved a bit of weight at the rearmost end. But that's just my thoughts on it, I have done a few chassis extensions and low loaders in the past.
Karl be careful hard mounting a deck to the chassis it should be soft mounted so the chassis can flex by itself . alot of trucks here have springs around the bottom of the bolts or something so the deck can move with a u plate over the chassis
Another great video Karl. Getting close.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this project comes together. Though, I was thinking that the deck would have hydraulics to drop the deck to the ground. So that the truck could lift a vehicle onto the back of the truck, like most recovery vehicles do. Ah! imagination.
Love the truck your very good fabricater
Spent hours today doing some basic welding and even longer grinding back the mess I'd made. Now they look good enough to hide!
Man that thing is AWESOME and those welds are works of art.
If I grow up, I want to learn to weld like that!
It's definitely starting to look the part brother! Digging it!
Great job on the bed frame and all the bracketry. Everything is looking really slick. Look forward to more, Be safe and stay well.
Looking good😊😊😊😊😊
Great project but I love that Zephyr!!!
That's quite a stout bed. You could almost haul a tank. Can't wait to see it all done. Next week?
Impressive fabrication and welding skills! That is one super strong truck!
Looking great!
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
No problem 👍
Thats a bloody good size deck you got there Karl 👌 Lookin good man!
Hi Japhand's wife!
Awesome work Karl💚🇬🇧🌱 lots of advertising these days...
I’m digging this build
Nice work Buddy
Good stuff for sure.
nice work I enjoyed and got ideas for me building one!!
Glad to see you’re using your Arcaptain 200.
I bought one based on your recommendation.
I love this stuff !
Love this series! Thanks Karl
Carl, are you planning on a winching mount at the front that incorporates a crash bar for the cab occupants? That tilting COE design has to be lightweight and probably wouldn't backstop you and yours in the unfortunate event of a crash. Even a low-speed frontal crash with a 2000 lb coupe on nylon straps is a scary prospect without a crash bar
That’s a really good point I hadn’t thought of actually
I've occasionally had second thoughts on posting my Safety Salamander reactions but here's one time I'm glad I piped up. Too, since you may be hauling new-to-you parts cars without a lot of structural integrity, or irresistible semi-reassembled abandoned projects you pick up, consider a woven wire mesh cage for the backlight (cab rear window, that is).
I've seen how tough & thorough inspection is in AB before plates are issued--true for BC, too? Are there additional regs in the commercial vehicle code for inspecting car carriers?
Great project
Love seeing this making more and more progress! Big fan of the ramp truck!
Yes sir. Lots of care going into this project. Keep in mind...don't forget to build in the back to prevent 4 wheelers from rear-end collision from going under. You know what I mean...the ones that can't see the big vehicle in front of them.
Awesome!!
Love the process and spark therapy!
Great planning and fab work
Love this build!
Lookin good!!!
What a great project! Can't wait to see more! 👏
Great project and you will get a lotta use out it . The removable bed idea is awesome . Thanks for sharing!
Looking good
hopefully there's room somewhere for a 16k + bed wench? still plenty of time to fab something somewhere. love the project. can't wait to see where it all lands.
This is looking great. Good design. I'm concerned at how wide this is, but I'm not in your shop so, you have a better view than me. Roscoe needs attention. Good to see he's getting it. Our pets don't understand why we spend so much time making noise and not with them.
Nothing like shop dogs!
You'll get it done, because it has to! Love the design. best of luck my friend. It'll turn out trick. Deadlines help but hurt sometimes. I'm tuning in to see what's next in the build.
Great work as always! Thanks for the continued inspiration!
That deck is looking amazing!
That thing is soooooo heavy, its gonna cry for a Diesel... nice job though
Awesome work Karl Definitely
Love the ramp truck! Every video gets me excited 😊.
Nice work, looks great, looking forward to seeing this finished
impressive deck work.. love the vids
Love your meticulous approach to everything and the idea's you 2 come up with.
Elio (I know I spelled it wrong no doubt) needs to do some how to video's for fusion360.. I've been messing around with it for about a year and man, he's faster at creating and manipulating drawings and models then I am..
Roscoe is AWESOME!
The project is looking good
Go buddy!
Looks great
Thanks Matt!
Yes Sir!!!
Looking good mate, coming along nicely. You may want to consider putting in some cross or vee bracing from the chassis to the centre of where your tow hitch will be. To eliminate any sideway forces and assist with straight tow, especially if you end up towing a tandem trailer with heavy loads. Cheers Karl, keep ‘em coming.
It squats down to pick up riders on its back. They call it Karl's Cabover Camel.
Nothing like over engineering 💪💪I’ve got a 16 tonne truck and the tipping body isn’t as well built love your work 👌
Hokie smoke Bullwinkle! That’s the first time I’ve seen your wife in over 2 years!
don't forget put the winch under deck up front and have a block n pulley wheel for the cable clip into deck so it can all be hidden away when not it use..
So Kool. Perfect timing. I'm building a wedge hauler Winnebago right now.
Hey Karl,
That deck is heavy enough to carry anything you want to put on it.
Hopefully it will help with the ride when empty as well.
I assume you will be hanging a side box or two for the tie down equipment.
Yes, absolutely it’s gonna get full skirting and lots of storage within the deck
the skill level is out of this world, amazing work!
Now thats a big bed.
Reminds me I have to go to sleep now. Good night, folks…
good job man 👍💪
I like the transition plates. I'm glad you made the bed removable. well played my friend!
Thanks Larry!
nice..thanks..
..Black Art Forge..
Killer content!
Gonna be interesting to see what the finished truck weight is, that's a lot of steel !
I hope you are going to build some toolboxes on the sides. One could go all the way through up front. Ideal for when you are doing shows. Besides, you never have enough room for more stuff.
With the already onboard air, you should consider an airline to fill tires and blow the deck free of debris b4 goin down the road and air tools. Fer sure air ride seats so u can luv your life on extended road trips sittin right over the steer tires.
Absolutely that’s the plan. It’s actually going to become a rolling shop truck. It will have a generator also and tons of storage.
So much room for activities!
You are without a doubt the best welder I have ever seen. Your welds are perfect and definitely a work of art. Love this project. It is second to none. You can be proud of this when it is all done. God Bless.
It's hard to make mig look that good.
@@SkaterStimm And he doesn't try to make them look like stacked dimes like a dumb ass 👍👍
Thanks a lot man!
@@SkaterStimm I agree. I do Mig welding and it is not easy. Have a good day.
Julie the dually got some wide hips
Since you built those L-brackets on the CNC, it would have been nice to have a little concave curve to the long straight edge; function & style.
Great update. Looking Forward to seeing more.

Just like when using park in the trans., the driveshaft brake will hold the driveshaft, but if one rear wheel is on something slippery, ice or mud, the truck will roll. I put a lever-lock on my truck to lock the front brakes in critical situations, tho a lever-lock can seep loose after some time.
Looking great! when you finish you will have to make 2 more ramp trucks, The Kei truck to carry the baby Buick, and another one like your GMC van cut down to carry the Kei truck that can then go on the big ramp truck.
Just kidding, just put the baby Buick on the back !
