The whole "mock up stage" of the build looked like a real mish mash of pieces. The end result however is a monument to Ian's creativity! What a brilliant build! You the man Ian. You rock. 🤗😎🤗
Excellent episode. I have a HZ van project so I'm watching with great interest. Howard, what is the size of your home booth and is it big enough or too big? I want to build one in my shed but I'll lose one car space by the time I leave enough room to walk around the body in the booth so I don't want to make it any bigger than I have to or I might lose two spaces. I have rotisserie also so height is imperative. Keep it up. Thanks
You are the inspiration in fabrication! First-time viewer and only video I've seen is this tow truck! You got my subscription, and I'll be watching. Good job 2all Bsafe 🥶 🐲
Very cool build and I liked your sidekick, because back in the day the American pitbull was a very popular breed and I think it just all ties together!
This is so cool. This should be made into a scale down car toy. I love it. When I was a 16 year old starting to drive it was common to see model A Fords running around. Lots of 32-34 coupes. My uncle had one with a rumble seat in the back. I loved riding in back. I had a friend that owned a Model A touring car. We had to exit and run along side to climb steep hills. 🤣
Looks like something out of a MAD MAXX movie i love it when someone leaves it original with a few extra parts here and there you could of at least found a Ford motor you ruined it with a SBC
This video is short, but I 'm sure it covers a much longer period than this video shows. I wonder how many months it took, although Ian looks the same from start to finish.
Salut, je te suis depuis des années, pour info je suis modélisme et je pense faire ce véhicule en radio commandé, c est l une de mes transformation préféré , bien le bonjour de la France.
i immediately caught on to the difference in vision, don was going for the old family truck that was modified as necessary, ian was going for the truck a farmer might have custom ordered after winning a big chunk of cash
DON said the engine was from the 60s. Unless someone sprayed the valve covers blue that would make descension a 305 in.³ that was not available in the 60s.
If your gonna put that old hand crank winch in there at least have it chromed make it painted up nice with a custom paint job and then put a badass engine in her either gas or a nice turbo diesel. Then you'd have a show stopper.
HEY! GUYS! HOW ABOUT LEAVING THE OLD HAND CRANK - JUST FOR SHOW, BUT PUT A ELECTRIC CRANKING. PULLEY BEHIND IT THAT WILL REALLY PULL UP A CAR,OR TRUCK! , WHICH WILL WORK!😮- NOW! THAT'S MY THOUGHTS ONLY! GREAT VIDEO 👍
I think it would have been a good idea if you had checked out how a tow truck actually works. The boom goes up and down, etc. It might have helped to build a better functioning truck.
Very glad to see the old TV formula back again. All build.
I've seen this so many times and it still makes me feel inspired to go work on my Jeep projects!! Ian you're awesome!

Good 😊 looking 👀 old style tow truck from different eras
All tool box placement. 👍
So awesome
Love the vids, can’t take the music!
Should have put the pulley plates on the inside of the chat line would have made it more aesthetically pleasing an easier to mount.
Also needed a split windshield!

Old school man 😂.
Just a little bit of pin striping and see it really pop out
That truck is the Johnny Cash song "I Got It One Piece At A Time" to a tee, a model T!

Ian used to have his own TV show and he takes about it on full custom Ian on UA-cam

Where does Ian find these uptight customers?

Mig welding is great for sheet metal, but isn't as strong as Ark welding for strength..
you should make the rear bumper air tight..use as an air pig

like 1.2K !
hi, let me ask something, how much money do I need to build a car for me 🤔
You’re looking younger and younger. This an older video or recent?
this entire channel is old, stolen content
@@johnjacobs4625 yea i figured that out after I commented.
Great series but can't stick constant crappy background music !
CAD, cardboard aided design.
Terrific work made unwatchable by the grating music.
I agree. The background music is distracting and unnecessary.
The colour match looks terrible you always go on the cheap
Not likeing the idea of useing a chevy motor in a old school ford thats the one everybody dose why not be different use ford not a useles gm motor
Cheap and available
I don't like this show ..they don't show real time ...
Needed to POR-15 line the gas tank !

the really old wreckers were fixed booms.
