Could look at thing for hours and still miss something beautiful amazing details
hahaha it is a lot to take in!! So many details! Thanks man!

This ain’t no Rat Rod. This is a well engineered, pride in workmanship Hot Rod. Bravo on each and every detail. As the President of our car club, I hand out the Engineering Excellence Award, at each year’s Groundhog Gala.
Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work 😎👍🏆
Thanks a lot man I appreciate that! A lot of sleepless nights went into it
I fuckin love how this thing works around the rules, coolest build
Haha thanks man 🙏🙏 Luckily for me, most of the towns around me, the cops just let it slide!!
Thanks for the panel beating instruction on previous vids. I'm learning a lot.
That’s great to hear man 🙏
Awesome build!!! Love all the little unique pieces and parts!! Very well thought out suspension, pretty sure I have the same pumps with the build in slow downs that I had on a body dropped S-10 back about 15 years ago, gave me some good ideas for my upcoming build!!!
ua-cam.com/video/USHmk4ksJaY/v-deo.html
I don’t know how I missed answering this comment! Thank you so much Amber! Must’ve been a pretty cool s-10 I really like those hydraulic pumps for how compact and simple they are being built in like that
As someone also going on 10yrs with my own personal build, I understand the struggles. Now my chassis is drivable and all I lack is the sheet metal work, but struggle staying on it.
I come here for inspiration to keep pushing myself. Thank you for being genuine.
I absolutely love the sheet metal work. I want to incorporate some wild stuff in my 36 Plymouth and I love your build.
That’s a good year for Plymouth! Thank you!
Incredible, I followed you the last couple of weeks and I think very highly of you, a 76 years old exploring my new phases of living and have taken up metal work you have been a great inspiration
That’s a real cool build. The metal work & mechanical ingenuity shows in spades. 😎👍🇨🇦
Thanks Ron! Glad you dig it! It was a really fun build and huge learning curve for me as a builder over the years!
Blown away with your truck, Its really nice to see Canadians building world class trucks and cars.
Just found this channel, never knew we had so many talented car builders in Canada!!!…..can’t wait to see more!
Thanks man! Happy you found us, thanks for watching! Canada definitely is home to some great builders! Many of whom I greatly look up to!
Where is his location I want a Canadian build so sick
@@TheNicholas911 British Columbia canada
Nice rat rod truck !
@@MakeItKustomdoubt you'll answer but what do you call it when you cut a hole in a part and flare out the edge of the hole to increase rigidity while maintaining low weight? And how do you do it
Favors for parts is wise. I had a friend tell me one time you could get parts for a SBC on the side of the road, I laughed it off and a few weeks later he brought me a 4 barrel intake for a Chevy which I was able to use. If you are not not rich then you have to learn many skills to keep things working and swapping out. Makes us happy. Man, you do some really great work I watch every time I can🤙🏻✌️👌😁
Thanks for the tour now we have to hear the Horn…
From Halfass customs crew here, and enjoying your show too ,
Ciao
Thanks man! Great crew ! And I’ll show you the horn some day... when I change it 😂
Coolest way to lift and lower system I've ever seen you got my head working now.
I thought that it was extremely nice for you to give Brent a great shoutout. I really appreciate your videos. I am going through all of them, be caught soon - maybe.
Great video, cool truck and excellent camera work.

You guys are Awsome Builders n I Love watching Halfass Kustoms n He makes things Look so Easy n He has some Skills n So do you n I just Started watching your Videos
Lol, he just goes outside and grabs some of his "bits" and "schmoozes" together half a car with a modern chassis and LS swap in 2 days!
Ya I like your Truck
@@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS ya That's Amazing huh
@@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS Ya I bought a 1999 GMC truck to put LS swap in one of my Hot Rods n watched him n I thought oh no n No Thanks n I'll keep it Old School n Simple n So Now I'm planning on Selling the Truck n get my Money Back 😆 😆 n I'm not that good in computers n electrical 😆

Absolutely mind blowing.. what a portfolio piece.. that rod really does give an insight into your style and craftsmanship.. unbelievable! Love the content !
Yep...I'm here thanks to Brent from Halfass. Brent keeps his channel clean and it appears you do as well. I really appreciate that!! I've been enjoying your videos!
Lol, he just goes outside and grabs some of his "bits" and "schmoozes" together half a car with a modern chassis and LS swap in 2 days! Nothing sweats him... just "eh... no biggie"

Thanks Rodney! That means a lot! Glad to hear you've been enjoying our content. Brent's a rad dude!
Brent at Halfass Customs told me about you. You. Are a very good fabricator. I also watch Tony at Fitzees. I have a very large shop, and I build cars from the.ground up. My Dad had a junkyard, so I grew up building cars. I enter 2 cars at SEMA every year. I don’t do the UA-cam thing because the cameras get in the way. My cars are brand new when they are finished and very expensive. I mainl build restomods, and most of my customers want the LS and turbos. I seldom build a car that has less than 500 HP. I also build custom motorcycles. You keep up the good work!
Best part is, I get to see this on the road occasionally🍻🇨🇦
Hell ya! Local boys! If you ever see the truck out, come by and say hi!
@@MakeItKustom will do @japhands_kustoms🍻🍻
Those seat belts did come in a lot of planes, including KC-135. Nice touch!
Love the truck!! you are truly talented !! I have watched this video three times and every time i see something I didnt see the last time
Just found this channel while looking what to do with my 32 Plymouth Roadster. Your creativity is inspiring - thank you for sharing!
You’re very welcome Brian! I really love for 32 Plymouth Very very nice cars
Tons of awesome fab in that truck. Thanks for the walk through.
Thanks a lot man!
Dude unbelievable coolest thing I’ve ever seen brilliant work between the rough and edgy and the polished master mechanical work, wow .
Thanks so much man! That’s exactly what I’m going for lol
That is simply amazing! Love from Bulgaria!
Awesome man I’m stoked that you dig it !
Can't wait for the flamethrower video!
The fishscales are awesome! And the good and evil with Buddha and the knuckles. This things awesome.
Thanks man! Bead rolling the scales was a blast!
That car is realy a pease of art!
Thanks mate! That is one awesome truck! Love every bit of it, I wouldn’t change one thing about it! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks man!! I'm stoked you dig it!
It’s been awhile since I’ve been enthralled by a video. F ing amazing job Man!!!
Thanks so much dude! I love this truck it’s family
maaaate that truck and your brain are awesome, too many wicked features to list but ive watched this 8 times already and still see new stuff. awesome to hear your association to halfass customs hes my favourite channel.man you canadians have got it down packed. all the best from NZ
haha right on man!! Thanks for watching it so many times. Halfass customs is a great channel, super wicked of him to give us a shout out! It's awesome I've noticed a bunch of people tuning in from NZ. Cheers from Canada!!
@@MakeItKustom awesome bruv thanks for taking the time to reply. stay healthy in these crazy times.
A real piece of art, you are not just awesome with your fab skills, but an artist of note 👌 love the rod
Good stuff. I like mechanical stuff. I had a 379 Pete that had all useful stuff like handles for hood, motometer, louvered grill... all things done had a use
My son turned me on to Halfassed International build and now on to your channel. Subscribed to both🙂. I've got a 46 chevy mapleleaf 3t virtually rust free. Awesome engineering. Love the chain drive e brake actuator. Time to get started on mine. Thanks for posting
Greatly appreciated and inspiring.
Awesome man thank you so much for subscribing Doug! Glad you enjoyed the channel Brent over at half ass is a killer builder I enjoy his stuff seems like he can build anything in a week ha ha cheers
Truck is bad ass!!! I love the front end
GREAT THINGS HAPPEN to HUMBLE PEOPLE 🙏
Super dope build...this is a real car guy !
Heaps of talent! Cheers, Doug
Many thanks Doug!
You’ve got some mad talent bro. I’m running a 327 corvette motor in my 62 nova cast iron camel humps with all the good stuff solid cam with stat sheets on everything. And I’m running a 283 corvette motor in my 72 jimmy 4x4 like the one you made the console for.
Halfassed Kustoms does some great work. I watch his show every chance I get. The General turned out real good.
I like your truck. Rat Rods have some ingenious work done to them. Yours being included. Thanks for taking the time to show your truck.
I had a 2003 GMC that was my driver and my show truck. If you like washing and polishing your truck then spend your money in a money pit like I did.
Ha ha ha as you can tell I don’t like washing and polishing lol I don’t mind if my door accidentally hit a curb and I don’t cry if I take it in the dirt lol
Interesting chain mechanism for the brake! Just the idea of having every linkage and pivot out in the open reminds me of old airplanes. Love that look. Was also interesting to see different little parts in general and hear the stories behind them.
Also neat that the truck got shown off in a big-time movie, albeit briefly.
The way you and your truck won the award is just awesome,
Thanks for sharing man
You’re very welcome thank you so much! Cheers
I LOVE IT!!! GREAT BUILD AND GREAT QUALITY!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
Very cool! I love the video I love the truck, I love the work you do it’s very inspirational!that’s one thing everyone who builds something cool is the other people that helped in someway or how to make it possible. I wish I had that. Keep up the great work you do!
Thanks so much man it takes a village! Very grateful for the community we live in and the people in our circles it’s never a one-man show
I love this kind of stuff. A lot of ratrods get really corny from people just welding on ward decorations and fake spider webs and stuff but this it what I love about ratrods' building it cheap and re engineering things to work the way you want and making it all fit the look and feel of the vehicle. We'll done sir 👏 this thing is awesome
Thanks man I feel the same way personally I just like to build things that are simple but designed complex lol I don’t like to add any decorations even if it’s complicated everything has a purpose
Fantastic truck. Love the engineering. You'd make Indian Larry proud if he'd built hotrods. 👍
Thanks man I appreciate that he’s one of my idols
I come from the Halfass channel subscribed imedeatly when I saw your Truck.
It is a wonderful car.
Dude the truck speaks for itself , super sick. But I really appreciate you being responsible about fire season. 🔥
It’s a real problem out here right now we haven’t seen it this bad in many years climate change is a real thing. I’m glad you dig the truck!
@@MakeItKustom same here. I live in Oregon we got devastating fires last year. It's already a big risk again. Your metal working is awesome, so helpful!
Just amazing combo of highly individual creativity & skilled technique. Will be very interesting to watch your career
Thanks Pete! Who knows what the future will bring
Karl, I love detail!! definitely alot here!! Very good job!!
Be safe!! God Bless!!!
YUPPERS!!! Halfass Kustom sent me to you!!! I was a bit disappointed when I didn't see an early Hemi out front, but you did a really cool job..
Ha ha yeah I bet Brent would have one here in a weekend! Welcome to the channel!
I absolutely love this ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome truck! So much work had to go into this. Amazing details!
Very cool truck! I appreciate you showing all the details and explaining the history of it's evolution. Although it's not probably something that I wouldn't build.. I love the way that you built it to your personality and the thought that you obviously put into it as presented by your video... kudos on the the Jimmy Shine 👏 award...that is proof that you are on the right track!!... I share your thoughts about hydraulic suspension...I have been engineering hydraulic over coils in my mind on several projects of my own...your talent, perseverance, skill, and vision is to be applauded! I wish I was younger and and had the ambition of my youth to create the rods I have invented in my mind.. you my friend get a gold star!!!...
Right on bro it sounds like great minds think a like! Thank you so much cheers!
Love this truck! The rawness of it. Nice work!
Yes! That’s what I was going for raw honest metal
Found you via Brent when you guys did the cabover now Om going thru all the videos Ive missed
I Love it Brother!!! Perfectly well done.
Donnie
Cool truck Karl 😁🤘 its good you used parts of other stuff including your meat bashing hammers 🤣🤣 looks unique ,looks Awesome 😁😁🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Ha ha Ha thanks a lot Karl!
I love it. Your creativity is endless. Great looking low rider rat rod.
Thanks so much!
Looks amazing... Hopefully some day I will build a truck like that style 👍👍
Your work is beautiful! I love mechanical stuff and I like how you did it on the cheap, it shows off your creativity and skill. Thanks for the video, I just subscribed and looking for more of your videos. Thanks brother!
Awesome Casey thanks for watching welcome to the channel!
Killer truck! All the brass and copper caught my eye on a UA-cam preview. Had to watch. New sun from me! DEBOSS garage did an interview with me and my 1950 international rat rod with a 4bt cummins. Took me 8 years to build it, and did it on the cheap as well.
Looking forward to to seeing more of your work!
That is one sweet ride. Great job and love the craftsman ship on everything. Take care and stay safe.
Love your channel brother and cheerz from Ontario !
F@#$%ing amazing!!! Love it. Leaning a lot watching your videos.
Sweet truck brother! I grew up around custom cars in my family and my dad built them out of the garage. I love this look. Great work. 👍✌
That's so awesome dude!! Thanks for watching!
Your skills are amazing love that truck..
Badass truck! Love all the details
Thanks a lot man!
👍bitchin! Nicely done my friend! Congrats on the awards. You deserve them.
Thanks a lot James!
Really cool build, some real innovative designs.
Thanks a lot Glen !
This truck is excellence on 4 wheels.. thought i recognized that hall.. I have family across the freeway from there right around Williams Park.. an old chicken farm.. anyhow sweet rod. Where I live now this would need fenders which kills the hot rod style.
I love the raw metal and brass. I like your style 🤙. I built my bike the same way. Also on a budget.
Right on I take pride in being on a budget! And still making it happen!
Meat tenderizers for pedals ! Ingenious!
Whenever you can use what you can
I just came across your channel, and man... you are wicked talented!!
Thanks a lot Adam I appreciate that! Welcome to the channel!
Quite a refreshing departure from the typical rat rods where the owners weld forks, spoons, wenches and other pointless crap to a marginally driveable rust bucket. Your fabrication skills are superb are your artistic skills are amazing. Although you are humble, you are setting standards that others will seek to emulate. Thank you for giving me hope for your generation.
And thank you for the support! I appreciate your kind words!
Holy hell kid !! I guess we gonna see you on tv sometime !! Insane rod young man, amazing talent !! I'm new and hooked on your channel, keep'm coming.
Awesome man, followed the a bunch of the build on Instagram and a few other places it popped up.
Right on man I’ve been working thru your videos and wow ! Especially your Pontiac 👌👌👌
Awesome truck! Keep up the good work
Awesome work. You have my imagination but actually get er done. Thx for sharine
Beautiful! Well done
Finally a true copy of my dream car imagination
Great minds think a like!
Lots of cool ideas! Great job!
Thanks so much!
Awesome truck
That front end look's so like Wolf spider face especially the you hit the air.....WICKED!!!
Yeah kind of does doesn’t it!
Amazing Rat Rod!!!
Thanks so much!!!
Beautiful rod and beautiful camera girl. She needs to be in more videos!!
Thank you and absolutely I’ve been telling her that. She is incredibly beautiful and very shy but we will do a video on her and her cars one day
Got yourself a new sub. Fellow Canadian living in the province I wanna live in,building the stuff I like to do and great attitude !
Right on welcome to the channel Bert! Thanks for watching!
Such a bad ass truck
ohhhboy what a channel !!
wikkid cool rod
congrates
PSS Love how much salvage you used... I literally have built my entire trucks frame and body out of c1500s and some s10 parts from a buddies truck...other then essentials brake lines and suspension components that were gonna get scrapped so they live on with my beast! Im wanting to go higher with my rat but also be able to bring it back near stock...
That’s cool that you use lots of salvage as well! It’s takes a lot of imagination to make mis. parts work! 👊🏼
@@MakeItKustom thanks I enjoyed building it and if I ever get the old heads off and can cam it and toss the vortec heads on I should get many more years of fun out of it... rn i reuse everything and anything Im tired of he throwaway culture
I enjoy watch u I'm building a 49 lincoln 2dr 9el work slowed since. Found I was weak alot it was cancer but going to keep building and watching u as long as I can hope I finish lucky charm is her name
Got to do what you love as long as you can! Positive vibes for you man cancer sucks.
Love the Jesse james detail 👍
I have been building and driving Hot Rods since 1958 and this is one of the most esthetically pleasing Hot Rods that I have ever seen. Are you familiar with Nacho's 36 bare metal Ford pickup Hot Rod?
Yes I am and wow what a great compliment from you dennis. Thank you 🙏
Ok i watch Brent, now you got me, nice truck.
Right on! Thanks so much for checking us out!
Great video - always wanted to build something like your truck. Those rear lights look like vintage cycle lights to me. Look up "Truppenfahrrad" lamps - German issue.
this is exactly what all the rat fink shit is about. way before it became over commercialized. I intend on taking a mini Cooper clubman, chopping the front clip and mounting it on a c notched s 10 frame. scrubbing it down, rework the the tail light section and pulling the glass out to panel it and some sort of v8 up front. Id like to do a flat head but budget is what budget is. great job guy. I'll use some of your ideas on my build. thank you for posting and your passion.
That sounds like a rad project Richard!! Best of luck on your build, its going to be killer! Thanks so much for watching
