  • Built by Giotto Bizzarrini, designer of the Ferrari 250 GTO which is now arguably the most valuable collector car in the world, the 1966 Bizzarrini GT Strada 5300 is another top collectible. The Bizzarrini was built as a street legal Grifo A3C. In 1965, a Bizzarrini Grifo won its class at Le Mans and finished ninth overall. 133 Bizzarrini Stradas were made and about 80 still exist today.
Recorded at The Best of France and Italy car show at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA.

    BIZZARRINI!!!!!
One of the most elegant Sports Cars ever conceived.
Another one that I'm pretty sure that Mr. Bizzarrini had a lot to do with, and is also absolutely gorgeous, is the wonderful Iso Grifo.

Not a mystery to me. I've seen several over the years in California auto shows like Concorso Italiano and Pebble Beach. Bizzarrini was a genius. Always loved the 5300GT, back when you could drive your car to Le Mans, race it and drive it home. Glorious!

My former landlord has one of these, and I ended up with the original AC Delco fuel pump from it on my '67 Camaro. I don't know why he replaced it, but my brother worked for him when he was doing the restoration and saved it for me. He rarely drove it, but he still got rear ended by an idiot in a truck who claimed that on a bright summer day she couldn't see him in the shade of an intersection because the car is black! Later he built a Cobra replica, I think at least in part to have something he could drive without worrying so much about having it damaged by a moron who really ought not to have a driver's license.
