Just picked up the Ranger (absolutely loving it). In doing so I tried on the Pelagos. I was amazed how well it wore. Dimensions kept me away for ever. Now Im next in line for an LHD. Can't wait. The Sub is not a comparable watch in my eyes. The Sub is really great. But like the Explorer isn't really a field watch anymore, they are more a fancy dress piece that happens to be 300m water resistant and have an amazing bezel. The Peli is really in a class of it's own and Tudor's design language is unique enough to completely stand on its own. The value is incredible as well when you consider Omega, Breitling.....Then there is the very precise movements. My Ranger is more accurate than my 214270 and the Rootbeer. Amazing.
Love my LHD. It’s a great tool watch, a real looker in person and the destro crown, roulette date wheel, and red “Pelagos” make it pleasantly quirky and unique. Moreover, this is the best watch bracelet I’ve ever encountered. I own Rolex, Omega, JLC - none of them have as nice of a bracelet/clasp as the Pelly.
I picked up this beauty on weekend and am totally impressed by its beauty, comfort, and functionality. I found my bezel being not as smooth as the display unit I tried in store and was wondering if this is a shortcoming of my timepiece. When playing with the watch at home, I realized that the bezel is sort of spring-loaded and is turning very smoothly when being slightly pressed down. This must be intentional by design, so the bezel doesn’t turn easily by mistake when using it during dives. I was wondering why the Tudor manual wouldn’t explain this.
As you mentioned, it's amazing value in the scheme of quality watches and has better specifications than the Submariner. The only niggle is as you mentioned the paragraph of text at 6 o'clock. I'm selling my IWC Aquatimer as this is the only dive watch you need. Even better as I'm left-handed. I've had many brands of dive watch over the years and this is the best for legibility and functionality. Why Rolex hasn't put the clasp on their watches I don't know. A David and Goliath watch story.
Yes - not quite yet, as there are a few pieces that I'm hoping to be able to add. Once I know if I'll be in a position to get them or not, then I'll start to put a state of the collection video together!
One needn’t have the watch “in the metal” to know if it will work - any more than one must have the watch “in the metal” in order to do a proper review of the watch. I’ve seen those at times.

Why oh why didn't the RHD Pelagos have the red text?!

Is this LHD as comfortable to wear on your left arm as a normal watch? No problem with the crown biting your arm?
