I’m SLIGHTLY embarrassed, but I didn’t grow up using power tools a whole lot, mostly hand saws and hammers etc. Now as an adult I want to make a tower garden and asked for holes saw set for Christmas to help complete that project and I felt SO stupid for not figuring this out hah. Thank you very much for an obviously easy video for us out here that are clueless. I owe ya one.
Hey you dont know until you know. Im sure there are plenty of people that dont even know what a hole saw even looks like, never mind fit one in a drill. Glad you learnt something.
@@eight1742 maybe too late but to widen the jaws on your drill, turn the ridged collar near the jaws. You can do this by hand, but in the video he uses the power of the drill to turn it with his fingers holding the collar stationary at around 1:27 . Just do it by hand and you will see the jaws slowly open (or close depending which way you turn it).
I bought a hole saw and it came with the adapter, but the adapter doesn't have a nut. It flies off the drill in a very dangerous way as soon as I slow or stop the drill. The shop I bought it from insists I'm doing something wrong and it's supposed to be like that. I made a short to show what it's doing: ua-cam.com/users/shortsyK4JO6WcXEQ?si=SGWnkqfoWXSbM_x3 any idea what I'm doing wrong?

You are embarrassed? I’m still stuck on how to widen it. It doesn’t seem to fit 😩

Thank you very much for this video, it's hard to do DIY stuff when you have no idea how, and no one in real life can help you. Much appreciated.
