- Highlands High School San Antonio, Texas. June of 2013 before it was torn down to make way for an all new Highlands High School completed May of 2017.
This is dedicated to all the faculty and students, past and future.

Thanks for taking me down memory lane. I was in ROTC for my freshman and sophomore year. Than Jr and Sr year I was in the color guard in band 🥰 I loved it so much. C/O 06 🎓

I was in the HHS Class of 2016. It’s really awesome to have experienced the old and new Highlands throughout my four years there. We had one year with the entire old building (both wings) , and then two years in portables. In 12th grade, our class opened up the first part of the new building, which was amazing to experience.

Thank you for making this video! I’m a ‘99 alumni. I remember the campus like it was in the first half of your slides. I’m very happy for the campus makeover. It looks new, fresh, updated. Thank you for posting this, for those that cannot get out there to see the new HHS
You are very welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video. I myself graduated from HHS in '84. My son graduated from HHS in 2018. He saw how Highlands stood before they tore it down and rebuilt the school. The did a nice job rebuilding the school. It is 3 stories tall now. The halls seem to go on for ever. There is a really nice student area outside. Very nice library as well.

class of 2015 here can't believe it's been almost 10 years since graduation i miss the old highlands it sucked my class only had 2 years with the og highlands we had half of our classes in portables for 2 years 😄

I just want to give the Graduating Class of 2020 a big "CONGRATULATIONS!" This had to be a very difficult school year. I hope they succeed in all of their hopes and dreams! From the Class of '84.

Glad you enjoyed the video. My son graduated in 2018 and I myself graduated in 1984. My son started in the old buildings and finished in the new. I'm sure you have your share of memories at HHS. Go Owls!
Class of 2012 too!! I created the skate club we had there. Skateboarding was big at our school.

Class of 72. We had a smoking area behind the gym, a shooting range for ROTC and a girls shooting "team". The only female sports were tennis and golf. The school song started out " cheer for highlands tell all the world of our loyalty, we'll keep fighting and never stop until victory .. Does anyone know if that song is still used?
C/O 2004, this brought back memories. Looks good too. Glad to seal from the class of '70 was kept, but it's sad it was chipped around the edges.
It was sad to see the Seal chipped around the edges. I think they could have been more careful removing it or at least clean up the edges after they removed it. But at least they saved it.
I'm so happy I was apart of the old school but this new school is so beautiful

I must say I enjoyed my years at Highlands. I made a lot of great life long friends and meet a lot of great people. Our son also attended Highlands. I'm Class of 1984 and he is Class of 2018. Yes time sure flies by, but the memories are for ever! Never a more proud moment that when an Owl leaves the nest to start their future.

my son and daughter graduated from here. I just would like to see the academics and staff be better. It's a beautiful school, but internal needs an upgrade. my daughter's senior year was terrible.
I totally agree with you. There are some awesome teachers there, but definitely room for improvements.

Class of 92’ would love to have seen a few pictures of the band hall. 😔
Unfortunately the day I went to take pictures parts of the school were locked. I would have like to have taken pictures of the Gym's, the old wood, metal and mechanic shops, the ROTC and band hall too. But I least I got to capture some of the old and new. Thanks.
band hall Is still the same just with the addition of practices rooms and it's now connected to the main building

Sorry you feel that way about school. I don't know which Jonathan Davis you are referring to, but Highlands over the years has had a lot of great people graduate from there. Life success is what you make it and if you are willing to work for it. Success in life is not just handed to you, even if it seems to be that way for some. Having goals in life and working toward that goal is what makes someone successful in life.
