This was my favorite part of graduation. I didn't grow up in the district I graduated from, but it was the first one that gave me a chance. I wasn't supposed to graduate in class of '23 because I was a year late due to mental health struggles. I took 10 classes sophomore year, 9 classes junior year, and 6 classes my senior year, and miraculously ended with High Honors. I wanted to show my youngest brother, who is a spitting image of me, that your struggles in life make you stronger, and that you can do anything as long as you believe in yourself and stay strong. My brother has selective mutism, he stayed back a grade because he still struggles to read, which I did too when I was his age. He was only in school 2 hours a day because he would get overwhelmed. On the day we did our senior walk, he stayed the entire day, and even stood with the rest of the kids holding up a sign for me and my twin sister. I didn't get emotional throughout our entire graduation, class night, etc, but I cried like a baby seeing him so grown up. Now he's in school all day and loves it. It may not seem huge to anyone else, but it is for him.
I actually did my senior walk today. Seeing my neighbor's son in the elementary school with a sign that said congratulations for graduating made me cry as he hugged me and said that he's proud of me. He is only ten
When my older siblings (twins) graduated high school it was so bittersweet. Our home life was really turbulent at the time and they were my biggest protectors. I cried so much when they left for college. But they also gave me hope and gave me the determination to hang on until I was able to leave home. I’m a settled adult now and I still love my older siblings to bits and admire them so much.
That is how my daughter felt when her twin brothers had graduated 5th grade to go to middle school, and she was in the 2nd grade... she will be with them for one year in high school when they are seniors and she a freshman... then they will leave her again... which will be in 2 years 😢

Dang, kindergarten through high school. That must be so hard to leave. You’ve been through all your milestones at that ONE school. You’ve grown up with those people. Congrats class of 2023!

God bless you man. I would venture to say, that you too, have had experiences that nobody will every share. I can tell your a thinker. Keep on strong my friend 💪
I was homeschooled till 5th grade, and going through the elementary school probably effected me the most. I remember when we got to the elementary school and I realized nothing changed there, I just felt like I was back on my 1st day. I was honestly expecting to see my old teachers as if nothing was different. It was so weird. I hated the rest of my school year from 6th grade to 11th grade, so not as much of an impact. But 12th grade was fun, I finally got to pick my classes and I had all art, a gym class, and study hall XD. I didn't need the study hall but it gave me an excuse to see my favorite teacher and take a class to do whatever in. I mostly just took time to read or watch youtube. But I remember there was afew times she asked if I had any work and my response was always just no XD.
Can you imagine...no bullies, respectful teachers/staffs/students n parents, this is possible. These children are blessed, these children are gonna be future adults with kind hearted, well behaved n respected people ❤

Watching this made me heavily emotional. I graduated this year from high school and are heading off to university in a few days. The thought of leaving my younger sister behind breaks my heart, even if I’ll see her in a few months ❤
My school does this and when I was in 1st grade I got to see it first hand. The teachers took us outside and we stood in a line and high fived the graduates. Some of the teachers were talking to their old students and it was over all just so fun. Because of Covid the elementary schools don’t do it anymore and I’m very sad that when I graduate I won’t be able to do the thing I was promised as a little kid.
I really worshipped my older sister when I was young and even to this day but not to the same extent of course! I loved going up to visit her in Ann Arbor!
My school actually did this and at the time my sister was a actually graduating and once they did they did the parade I immediately bursted in to tears
That’s so sweet. My middle school does something similar for the 8th grade graduates, and since I’m graduating in 10 days from middle school, we’ll be doing this clap-out walk through the entire middle school and then heading to the football field, where I’ll be graduating the first school that I’ve stayed at for the entire time it offered. Crying train here I come 😭🚂
This literally made me cry because when I was 7 my sister left me and my parents and I haven’t seen her since I is so nice to see that she cared enough to do that so when I see people that do have siblings that care I tell them to cherish it because you never know how much you will miss them until there gone
Omgosh this is literally sooo sad😢what! May Allah swt grant you ease brother, grant you jannah, forgive you, and grant His ultimate love in this world & the next!
Yeah see it's times like this that you will never forget that moment back like these siblings right here would cherish this moment for the rest of their lives
I think that it's awesome that the high school kids walk before the little kids so the little kids can see what their efforts and work is going to produce. How sweet that the big sister is so compassionate and kind words for little sister
My district also does this, it’s super inspiring and awesome! I just watched the graduates walk down my schools halls! (Btw I’m in middle school not like 2nd grade)
Omg, so my elementary school is kindergarten-5th grade and I’m in 5th grade anyways so basically at the end of 5th grade we all wall throughout the halls and go around our school and then after school there will be our 5th grade celebration into 6th grade aka middle school❤
This is similar to what we do for the 5th graders. Each year on the last day of school the 5th graders get there backpacks and walk around the school one last time. They call it the final walk. Once they are done with that they get on a school bus and ride around one last time (in a circle a couple times.) It’s for the 5th graders as a graduation from elementary school.
I’m so glad I got to do this as well. All schools should do this. It feels so surreal. You used to be that little kid. You might still feel like it now. But you’re older now. So just keep going, but never change yourself for others. Just be you. Thank you for being here. 💜💜💜
We actually do this where I live too except the seniors walk through the high school, middle school, intermediate school and elementary school so 4 schools while if ur leaving any other school here you just go around the school
The seniors in my town go through our entire school ( its a middle school one half and an elementary school on the other) and everyone claps, cheers and stuff like that.
That was me on the right side 24years ago (not literally it just means I was in Elementary back then) I’ve been out of high school for 14 years. Time definitely flies by. If I’m able to instill some type of knowledge it’s very simple… have goals and even if there’s setbacks never forget those goals. Also, enjoy the time you have as a kid because in the blink of an eye you’re a pre-teen, than teenager, than adult.
I feel like this is the best possible way to inspire the younger kids! The fact that I will be in the position of the older sister next year is crazy! I will be graduating from high school next year (2025) and I will have to visit my childhood school which I grew up in from kindergarten - 8th grade. My brother will attend that same school as I once did for kindergarten next school year! I am excited to visit both my former school and my little brother when the time comes!
The best friends part.. hits me so much! Im 14 and my sister (20) just went out to college and we've been besties since i was born. she begged my mom to give me the nickname "princess" because she was obsessed with them when she was younger...I miss her so much...
when I will graduate my youngest brother will be in 2nd grade... my brother who is 5 years younger will be in 8th... I can't get over it, I will def start crying if my siblings cry
I never got to do this for my graduation. :( Probably cause we have different elementary schools. I wish I could see my 1st grade teacher again. She was an absolute mother of a teacher. Loved her so much. Idc what people say, I loved school.
Don't worry, your Big Sister will always be there for you... College or not. With technology today, you won't even feel she's away. So happy y'all have each other❤❤❤❤🎉🎉❤❤❤
This is a special type of sibling relationship. I have two girls. My older daughter was a senior in high school & my younger daughter was in kindergarten.
My school does this. That will be me in 2 years. We walk through our old elementary school and middle school while everyone is supposed to cheer and high five you. It’s a very close knit community. It’s cool.
So wholesome, considering a lot of older sisters would've just ignored their little siblings in public, thinking it was uncool to be seen hugging them or even talking to them sometimes.

My school whole district does this❤ every year last year we walked threw every hall in our elementary before leaving and going to middle 😭❤️
We had senior walk day today. I saw a few of my older friends and we got to make some posters for them. They said we made them feel really special and I’m super happy we did.
Dang, kindergarten through high school. That must be so hard to leave. You’ve been through all your milestones at that ONE school. You’ve grown up with those people. Congrats class of 2023!
I started in Pre-K!! 14 years in total just in that school but I also did headstart for 2 years so it’s rlly 16 years!!
The high school my kids go to does this. It's 3 different buildings (elementary, middle and high school) but they are all within a half mile of each other.
@@Vol2169 this is how my tiny town is, three buildings but all on the same campus with the football stadium, baseball fields, tennis courts kinda in the middle
My school actually does this too. Last year we make posters for the seniors to read as they walked the school!
Can you imagine...no bullies, respectful teachers/staffs/students n parents, this is possible.
These children are blessed, these children are gonna be future adults with kind hearted, well behaved n respected people ❤
May their BOND stay STRONG through the years.
This is what true sisters do
Aww that’s so sweet❤️ you can tell they really care about each other😌
not me and my brother 💀
Our schools do this every year. The graduates tour all the elementary schools in the county. They spend an entire day doing it. Really special 💚
This is what you call true best sisters
I literally had this a few days ago, where the seniors walk through The elementary and we were clapping for them, and they gave us high five ❤
Same
That's so wholesome😊 but my siblings would be happy when I go😅
As a little sister myself, I know exactly how this feels.....and it hurts....
Is it because you're now alone at your school or because you won't see your older brother/sister as much anymore?
@@lucwijngaard8413 My older sibling moved to another country. So I don't get to see them at all, really. I cried when they left, but now it just feels really weird. Ya, know?
@@ItBeL1keDatFR I do have older siblings but I didn't experience them moving out in a way you described, must have been tough for you! In the end it will be one of those things in life that made you stronger and it might even improve your guys' bond even further when he/she returns!
@@ItBeL1keDatFR My brother is off to uni in a year - I know exactly what you mean. Wishing the best for you and your sibling
@@lucwijngaard8413 Thank you for your kind words, my friend. 🥰 I wish you the best and to stay safe.🩷
True family right here, what a wholesome moment
Watching this made me heavily emotional. I graduated this year from high school and are heading off to university in a few days. The thought of leaving my younger sister behind breaks my heart, even if I’ll see her in a few months ❤
My school does this and when I was in 1st grade I got to see it first hand. The teachers took us outside and we stood in a line and high fived the graduates. Some of the teachers were talking to their old students and it was over all just so fun. Because of Covid the elementary schools don’t do it anymore and I’m very sad that when I graduate I won’t be able to do the thing I was promised as a little kid.
That is so wholesome. If i had a sister i would never leave her side.
I really worshipped my older sister when I was young and even to this day but not to the same extent of course! I loved going up to visit her in Ann Arbor!
My school actually did this and at the time my sister was a actually graduating and once they did they did the parade I immediately bursted in to tears
what a great thing to do.
everyone should have a sister like these two
My big brother did the same thing I truly miss him😢
Our high school would do this and it was honestly such a beautiful experience.
Omg I’m crying myself. This is soooo heartwarming I wish everybody was this caring for eachother, who’s with me?❤❤❤🥰😘😭
I love this idea. His sensitivity to the little sister is admirable, and the sister's reaction is very honorable. ❤❤❤
That's more than a sister, that's a BEST friend forever!!!
Crying train here I come 😭🚂
Growing up is always a trip until someone leaves.
I remember how much I cried on my sisters graduation… This just touched my heart ❤
This is real sibling 💗
This year my school did the senior clapped out. Some kids were crying and teachers.
My old schools did this, I got to see my older brother walk past, and give him a hug, it was great.
Did you live in a small town?
Aww, remember, time waits for no one, but taking time out of our day... priceless
Sisters are wonderful. ❤❤❤
SO touching 😩😭🤧
Bitter sweet pill to swallow.
Life is often cruel but beautiful 💫
My district also does this, it’s super inspiring and awesome! I just watched the graduates walk down my schools halls!
(Btw I’m in middle school not like 2nd grade)
I'm crying this is so wholesome to me
There is still hope in the world
Omg, so my elementary school is kindergarten-5th grade and I’m in 5th grade anyways so basically at the end of 5th grade we all wall throughout the halls and go around our school and then after school there will be our 5th grade celebration into 6th grade aka middle school❤
That’s true love right there..wish me and my sibling were that close..!!
Today was my last Day Of school. I’m August Im going to be a middle Schooler 🎉
We actually do this where I live too except the seniors walk through the high school, middle school, intermediate school and elementary school so 4 schools while if ur leaving any other school here you just go around the school
Yeah my school has seniors walk through our hallways from their elementary school
The seniors in my town go through our entire school ( its a middle school one half and an elementary school on the other) and everyone claps, cheers and stuff like that.
My older sister just left for college I’m gonna cry 😭
That was me on the right side 24years ago (not literally it just means I was in Elementary back then) I’ve been out of high school for 14 years. Time definitely flies by. If I’m able to instill some type of knowledge it’s very simple… have goals and even if there’s setbacks never forget those goals. Also, enjoy the time you have as a kid because in the blink of an eye you’re a pre-teen, than teenager, than adult.
That what our school dose and the gifted and talented ( the gifted and talented are lrearinig 5 years above there ageim in it btw)
I'm now miles away from my home, off to College. This video made me cry 😭
I literally wore that gown when I graduated elementary school
Don't worry, your Big Sister will always be there for you... College or not. With technology today, you won't even feel she's away. So happy y'all have each other❤❤❤❤🎉🎉❤❤❤
This is a special type of sibling relationship.
I have two girls.
My older daughter was a senior in high school & my younger daughter was in kindergarten.
My school does this. That will be me in 2 years. We walk through our old elementary school and middle school while everyone is supposed to cheer and high five you. It’s a very close knit community. It’s cool.
They don’t do this everywhere?
Every student should get to do this before graduating no questions asked
So wholesome, considering a lot of older sisters would've just ignored their little siblings in public, thinking it was uncool to be seen hugging them or even talking to them sometimes.
My elementary school does this to! Luckily I won’t be graduating for like 4 years 😄💞
My sister would be like bro shut up your embarrassing me😂
I missed the day at school when my sister walked the halls and I regret it
This is what happens at my school❤ it’s so sad to watch the year seniors cry as they walk past😢
