One should sell their overpriced truck while they can. It aint Economic Ninjas fault if one got a wild hair up their ask & overpaid for a truck. Any 5 year old can tell that the worlds falling apart. Saying truckers can afford $9 a gallon for gas is so funny that I cant see straight.
just because he posted a "no hate alternative view" doesn't mean he's anymore correct than ninja. he even admitted he only has a few years experience in hot shot work. this guy is taking his limited experience and very narrow purview of a very large industry and trying to pin it down as gospel. some of what ninja said was accurate. just because this guy didn't go out and buy a brand new dully and trailer doesn't mean a lot of people don't
I call him Elmer The FUD Peddler. He's a clown and your typical right winger MAGAman. Their idol lost the election, they have to make everyone think the world is ending.
It’s the everything bubble. All markets are crashing together. Supply chains are toast. Good luck finding most replacement parts for your trucks this time next year.
fuel has already become an impacting factor. my company is flush with applications from very good quality owner operators that simply didn't have the capitol to keep operating as an independent. our head of logistics said in a meeting last week "fortunately we aren't a trucking company, we're a 12billion dollar flooring manufacturer that hauls our own products" giving us room to maneuver to keep our department profitable...

Dude was on a roll for like a week about the impending food crisis in 70 days lol. Supposedly got it from some credible insider and we’re past the 70 days
You are damn on point Jason! I'm getting in next month, and even with my CDL Im starting with a hotshot setup mainly because of operating cost being a lot less. Great video!
I believe he was referring to expediting in general. Van, Strait Truck or Hot Shot. I've heard quite a few people falsly refer to Expeditor's as Hot Shot because they don't understand the difference. The rates for the spot market have indeed dropped off a cliff. Combine cheap freight with high fuel costs and operating expenses, we are having to sit twice as long waiting for a decent rate and staying out away from home twice as long to see the same income we were seeing a year ago. I have also been following Sage News Live on YT as he is a broker and can show the bigger picture on his end of logistics spectrum
This is why I would lov to work under Jason.... He thinks logic and don't let others opinion effect his company... if there's a rough spot he adapts and keep pushing...can't do nothing but respect that....Salute Jason
New sub here. Love hearing all sides and perspectives and sharing constructively. I think the big thing to watch is if gas prices get up over 10$/gallon this summer and hold there for an extended period. If so I’m afraid the Ninja will be right. My suspicion is, and i take no joy in saying it, that gas $ will easily get there sooner than later, even if policy changes, whichi believe it will, it will take a long time to get fuel production where it needs to be to impact supply and demand enough to lower $. But you never know, Let’s do all we can to get involved in our local communities and politics and Hope and pray for God to step in here soon.
Economic Ninjacompoop has lost his shirt, shaving cream and razor in the crypto correction. The people that truly run the world dont want it to descend into some version of the movie "Escape from New York", they merely want to own everything they can on this planet, hoping the crumbs they let fall to the floor will keep the riff-raff happy enough to not ruin their party. I can guarantee you that tomorrow and for the foreseeable future, every day people will wake up and will need to use soap, shampoo, toilet paper, laundry detergent, toothpaste, bleach, gasoline, diesel fuel, tires and food, as long as a nuclear war doesnt break out and if that happened, money would be worthless anyway. Dont buy into the fear. The world goes through tough and good economic times, over and over again. Buy low, sell High. Things are low right now, it's time to be nibbling.
I think it's wishful thinking on your part. I started driving in 1988 seen hard times before and made it. But from what I have seen in the past driver , is what you told us at the end of the video hotshots don't run necessities . In the past that was the first rides to be cut. When the economy takes a dump. Hope you can keep running take care.
exactly. i was out here in '08. only reason the company i ran for didn't take a huge hit was they were big enough to renegotiate the freight rate fairly quickly. plus i don't think fuel prices rose this fast back then
Econinja is a con man. Months ago he wanted ppl to follow his link and pay near 30.00 oz silver. Now it's below 20.00. haven't seen any of his predictions be correct. I unsubscribed from his channel nothing but snake oil and click bait.
Economic Ninja was pushing everyone to buy silver and gold and then silver and gold was slashed, dude is just a boomer who sits on his lofty cash from banking on previous recessions with the inability to adjust his moral compass to reality, so all he can really do is keep looking at recessions and crashes as opportunities when he isnt really that well tapped into the actual severity of whats happening. I mean him no ill will, but the most obvious sign he's a bit outdated was right after he was plugging gold and silver and it plunged, even though yes it will rebound, it was comical to say the least because he touted it as an asset that never depreciates. He's just another boomer real estate dude who loves crashes because he benefits off them, and sure thats how most wealth transfers take place even from poor to rich, but that doesnt mean its morally justified to disregard the suffering and totality for profit and advancement.
so lemme see if I'm tracking. you took a video from someone that has said he's not an expert about trucking and decided to nit pick it apart based on your self professed limited experience in hot shot work coupled with your opinion from a very narrow perspective of a very large industry right? here's the thing if you couldn't tell that his video was very broad in scope and not an "expert analysis" then that's on you. P.S get your terminology right. you aren't "playing devil's advocate". you are playing " hmmm lemme piggyback off someone else's content for clicks and views". instead of nit picking something that isn't vital or life and death take in the info, retain what benefits you and throw out the rest. it really wasn't so controversial or wrong that a clap back video was necessary.
@@hotshothaulers also i DID see the pinned comment, since it's LITERALLY the first thing in the comment section 1🙄. Doesn't change the fact that i don't believe you know as much as you think you do. But anyway hope you've got this new economy figured out as much as you claim to. Cause a major breakdown in a parts scarcity, could be eye opening.
Glad you are doing well with your business. But for many it won’t be good! I had a friend who recently had to shut down his hot shot business! Insurance rates/diesel were just to high for him to keep on going. Fuel will hit $10+ a gallon in mid to late summer! Be prepared and not scared! 🫵🫵#economicNinja🫵🫵
its already not good for a lot in transportation not just hot shot and likely will get worse. i don't think this guy was in trucking in '08, i was. job losses were catastrophic for many and fuel prices are already higher than they were on '08... i hope this guy is EXTREMELY smart and frugal with his revenue, cause 1 major breakdown can be devastating for those without a strong maintenance escrow account...
Again, no hate just showing my thoughts from being in the business myself. Enjoy

@chris Dupree
UK today is $13 a gallon! & rising. Glad you are optimistic!
I frequent Economic Ninja. It is nice to hear a well thought out respectful/no hate alternate view. Great job. We need more of these.

I told him to quit preaching and deliver some news and he called me a bad name and erased everything I said
I hope you are right but IMO fuel will become a major impact on operating cost, not just fuel but tires, batteries and other parts...

We need to do a collaborative and discuss these points coming from the semi FB/SD side vs the hotshot side.
Let’s get on a zoom call soon and discuss it!

With all do respect I agree with what you are saying I some aspect but I believe the #economicninja is looking at a much bigger picture.
Hope you can operate on old parts and solar power 🔋 💪 😉
am only accepting American sourced broker loads only.
Trucking isn’t going anywhere but truckers are along with diesel mechanics
Economic Ninja seems to be all doom and gloom.
#economicninja is a used car 🚗 salesman. Pure entertainment.
He’s been right on everything so far
I hope you have some extra food.
take your head outta the sand and look around. Rome is burning, its a slow burn but it is absolutely on fire. it's not his fault you don't see that.

He’s not the same guy he’s was 6 months ago
I had to stop following him. Constant fear porn. I found Peggy Hall much better and healthier for body mind and spirit.
He turned out to be a jerk
Economic ninja is all bluster and entertainment. Stopped following him long ago.
You do know they have
Electric trucks that are putting out on the roads
