The problem with car hauling today is every Pedro and Patel is out there now is hauling with enterprise rental trucks or hell I've even seen home Depot rental trucks and U-Hauls with bumper two or three car trailers attached to them. They usually don't have the proper insurance aren't running DOT numbers etc and are quoting rates as low as $200 a car... I spoke to a driver one time that was at a Manheim auction picking up three cars for a dealership about 200 mi away and charging $100 a car.

See, the cop knows that in truking, it doesn't matter that you fix the issue, the ticket still stands, unlike in a car in which you fix it and charges are dropped. So he gets credited for getting his quota.

i got a Appalachian 3 car trailer and for truck i have a 2006 Silverado 3500 and 1995 Ford F350 7.3 Powerstroke. I currently use Ford for over a year as primary truck. I do between 1-2k miles a week and after watching lots of guys talking about car hauling i noticed that there can be 10 guys and there will be 10 different opinions how to do this work. I been doing this for 8 years and i think that no car hauler is the same.

Totally agree. I started moonlighting with a Geo Tracker and a 5x8 trailer in the Omaha area. in the 90s. Equipment today much bigger but the business plan has never changed. Always have work.
