I expected you to be trialing the new Cardo app with audio recording capability. This eliminates the need for multiple mics, splitters, and the other excess cabling and complexity. What would be ever way better would be the ability of the Cardo to connect to the camera as a bluetooth mic (with all audio), thus eliminating the need to do post processing sync. Cardo has the industry gravitas needed to partner with GoPro, Insta360 and DJI to support a common BT profile and otherwise make the process dead simple.
Great point. I tried recording via Cardo app. It recorded first 4 mins of me and my wife’s conversation and then just failed. It is a great feature but requires fiddling with phone screen while riding. I needed a setup that can be one click. Also the recording quality via app is not great at all. DJI Osmo pro setting can allow you to record to mono channel that requires no post processing for audio since both left and right channel audio gets recorded on a mono track.
@@ninerpeak I wrote to Cardo last week a suggestion to have an "Automatically Record Audio" checkbox as an alternative to the button. When checked, it would automatically start recording upon connection to the Cardo. I said that many of us don't want yet another thing to do, and forget to do. It should have an automatic setting. Of course, it would be best for the Cardo to stream directly to the camera. If they can't make the firmware do that, alternatively stream it from the phone app to the camera. Video has become easy. They need to make audio brain-dead simple, and Cardo is in the perfect position to lead this.
Loved those cold crisp morning rides! Don't get many of those here in Florida.
Agreed! Love early morning rides. Although cooler mornings have been rare this summer. But it’s always less traffic, makes it all the more enjoyable.
Great information. I switched to insta 360 and wireless Rode connected to insta and one mice in the helmet
Thanks Abhi! Yeah Insta360 is a must have. Has its own problems but it’s a great add on.
Superb Video 👍
Thank you Aai 😊
Great video I’ve tried this in past too many issues with my connection’s.
Thanks Frank! So far this setup is working well.
Love the video😁👍
Thank you 😊👍
Thanks for taking the time to comment 😊

That would be a great feature. Thanks for submitting the suggestion. Hopefully they’ll consider.
Smooth!
