- Lexi and I head out with Ethan to Michigan's upper peninsula for two nights to do do some canoe camping. I also have my brand new canoe with me, a 14 Swift Prospector solo in kevlar fusion. In spite of all the bugs we have a great time and new friends are made.

Very well good adventure 2 night
Thank you for watching. I glad you enjoyed!
😒... bugs and rain! Not ideal camping conditions, but you're still laughing though. Good one!
Less than favorable conditions to say the least but still had a great time!
I was camped out on the first lake at the site you passed up. While soaking up sun after the rain I spotted a black bear on the portage trail, which turned out to be the cutest, long legged, floppy eared bear ever. Labs are awesome.
Yes, she is awsome! Where you the one with the Old Town?
@@schultzoutdoors8799 Yep, that was me. I was definitely lusting over your Swift solos.
Holy bugs! That’s cool that you and Ethan got to trip together! And Lexi is doing great in the canoe....also love the shots of her swimming along the canoe....awesome video work too!
Thank you. We had a great time. Lexi is becoming a great canoe dog. Still so much a puppy yet though.
The hooch is probably the most important! Really enjoyed this. Cheers!
You got that right! Thanks for watching!
Glad you got the prospector out finally! Looking forward to a comprehensive review/comparison. Big thumbs up from me for the alcohol stove, you already have the bush buddy/solo stove, bringing along a trangia style burner with a small fuel bottle for those I don't feel like collecting twig times doesn't add too much more weight and works great with what your already bringing. If you bring the simmer ring also lets you control the heat when needed.
So far the boat is everything I had hoped it would be. Will definitely have a review video coming. Yes I really want to try the Trangia stove. I completely forgot it worked with the Solostove as well because I was think about getting a Firebox stove to go with it.
Awesome job o the video Dan. wish I was out there with you guys. great to see your perspective of the trip. small tip to help reduce the amount of bugs on Lexi... try water with some tea tree oil mixed in and spray her down or better yet... check with you vet and they will recommend something for you...Oh yea... sweet new ride there 😉👍 Dennis
Thanks for watching Dennis. Yeah stinks our spring trip was cancelled. We definitely need to get together for a trip. I will have to try that tip with the tea oil. Yes, it is one nice boat! Cheers!
Looks like a great time! Love your canoe!
Had a really good time in spite of the bugs. So far the canoe is everything I had hoped it would be. So stable for me and the dog.
Gotta have the hooch
Absolutely!
cool video love the dog
What I would do to get my dog to join me in the canoe. Looks like the canoe held up pretty good against the wind.
Very thankful that she is so well behaved in a canoe. Love the Prospector so far. Looking forward to the border opening so I can really get her feet wet so to speak.
BUSHCRAFT!
Just a little bit
