Dethatching With A Tow Behind Dethatcher - Fall Lawn Care - Part 1 of 5

Time to get the Fall Lawn Care plan started! I get out and dethatch the lawn with my tow behind dethatcher. I dethatch roughly 30,000 square foot in this video. My goal here is to clean up all the straw I laid in the spring and a lot of the dead grass from the summer. We need to get that good SEED TO SOIL CONTACT!

Your supposed to put some cinder blocks on top of that bad boy, it's designed with the flat top and raised edges to hold them to apply weight

Great 🎤 quality and video but you might want to go with a weight on the detacher and aerator this year... it was way too light... that’s why you thought it worked better in the dry...

Let me know how much work it is to dethatch your lawns! Mine's 40k sq. ft. and took FOREVER! Not a fan of all the work!

I thought the same thing. I’m watching this, and I’m thinking to myself, what in the world is he trying to achieve? this is not working at all and all the thatch is in there.
