I just bought 2 of the spike in the ground mount version, it’s great so far! My last hose reel slowly retracted by having the water on and the plastic track wore out over time, the hose bunched up on one side or would get stuck. This
Great review as always Andy! The hose reel is certainly better than my 20 dollar plastic one from home depot. When it breaks I'll just invest in this one and call it a day
@@TheRealLawnFather I’m trying to buy a hose reel that connects to my pressure washer. Are you saying I should not use this reel for connecting to the pressure washer? If not why?
@@BSnydr I wouldn’t use this for a pressure washer, the hose on it is not rated for that type of psi. I know there are pressure washer specific hose reels out there.
The guy who cuts my lawn would probably give me a discount if I bought one of these. 🤣 He doesn't keep a consistent schedule so I never know when he will be here, seems like he always arrives the day after I've been in the yard and was to lazy to put the hoses up. 🙃
This is the best Hose Reel when it is on the shelf in the store. Please update your review after a few months of using this reel. I'm sure you will change your mind. This is the most expansive and unreliable reel in the market.
I purchased a Gardena Hose Reel, I got it 1 use out of it and it failed. There is no real troubleshooting and nothing to fix. I spent a few days trying to contact support, in the end I got my money back. I would not recommend this brand.
Understand that most Automatic Hose Reels are made in China including Gardena. Usually poor quality, and short life spans. Look at none automatic reels (Hand Crank). Especially made in the USA. They are a simple design, and will last much longer.
Don’t forget to Like and Subscribe!! And DEFINITLY don’t forget to go check out the Gardena Hose Reel for yourself!
Looks pretty cool. Thanks for sharing Andy! 👍🏼
That was awesome! Gardena is the best! Their new Amazon brand store is so much better than last year with so many more options!
It’s great!

It’s definitely high quality!
Nice looking hose reel. Yes, I love German made stuff (Stihl). 😎 Great video!
Thanks dude!!
This was awesome! Thanks for the love!
👊🏻Thank YOU for letting me review it!
I appreciate that I can operate it with one hand and a small tug on some high quality Italian hose! 😂😂😂
That’s em the exact reason there’s a cut there lol I had to redo it like 3 times because I couldn’t stop laughing or making some middle school joke 🤣
Swole! 👍
I don’t know, I saw that flex picture on IG, you’re looking jacked
Roll control is cool. When you tugged it I was thinking worse, "its the metal end of hose going to smack the window!"
I would have lost my mind LOL
Help. I broke the spring in this Gardena hose reel. Do you know of if can be repaired and how.
I would reach out to gardena on that one.

What about being black and in direct sun, it’ll be almost too hot to touch and melt?
My one of these doesn't lock and it's driving me crazy. Can't work out why.
Can the hose be connected to a standard fitting like a pressure washer? Or do I have to buy an adapter for that
It comes with threaded adapters for stuff like that. I wouldn’t suggest using a 1/2” hose for a pressure washer feed line though.

I'm so glad I live on a lake with a nice pump and irrigation.
Definitly jealous of that!
Drelex how do you use the pump near an lake...???

Zero problems with mine.
@@TheRealLawnFather great!
They're made in Germany I thought?
They are, the box says made in Germany and Italian design so I put both in the video lol
The hose is made in Italy and the housing in made in Germany
I'm low on the wall (40cm)
It must be at least a few centimeters in order to work in place
Please measure the installed reel.

How can you say it’s the best hose reel in the title then admit you’ve never used a hose reel before this one. SMH
Because it is one of the best. You can tell by watching this video.
