    Nice video Matt. Those are good tips about keeping the electrical plugs high, and the use of shutoff valves.

    I just started using auto pot I really like the way they’re producing I transplanted after about four weeks I did not use the air dome I did put about 3 inches of clay pebbles at the base I’m also using advanced nutrient three and one in the reservoir the tablets as well as Best living soil I found I shouldn’t have any issues of course I use a RV water filter which I change over every six months I’m using the extra large right now that I got about a month ago and it really does clean up that the city water real well

    In photography, we use the inverse square law to further understand lighting falloff. Just something to look at if you get bored.

    Hi cousin Matt, your Cousin' Nikolai is quite happy to have discovered this informative video, indeed. Perhaps, you have affiliate links to the items mentioned in video and could post in description for us "noob" growers, no doubt. lol
    Thank you

      Most of the modifications are simply drip irrigation parts in box stores. Nothing complicated. 😊

    How often are you adding nutrients to the reservoir?

    • @MattGarver
      @MattGarver  2 роки тому

      Optimally when the reservoir is nearly depleted use the drain tube that I suggest and empty it. Fill it backup with clean water and add fresh nutrients. With smaller plants, the reservoir last quite a while. With two huge plants, I was using about a reservoir per week in the final stages.

      @@MattGarver so every time u refill the reservoir u add nutes? Currently I’m growing in soil, so According to the schedule I add nutes every other watering , but with this auto pot set up u just add water and nutes and essentially the plants take what they need?

      @@skine1107 You are correct in what you said. Different plants are light or heavy feeders, and the intensity of your grow light, warmth, and other factors come into play. If unsure, take a liquid nutrient that is 3 tsp/gallon full strength and use 2 tsp/gallon. You can adjust up or down as needed.

    Nice Video but Epsom salt is Magnesium sulphate not Calcium. Bye

    • @MattGarver
      @MattGarver  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting! My apologies for not being more clear. Epsom salt was mentioned as a remedy for well water with high calcium content. You are correct that contains magnesium. It helps to preventing excess calcium from bonding with your nutrients and precipitating out as calcium phosphate, which can settle as particulates that can clog tubing, valves, and spray heads.
