Brilliant!
Would it be possible to use the reservoir as an active tea brewer/bubbler?
Hi,
Many thanks for your enquiry, it is possible to do this but only with FlexiTank Pro (the white versions of the FlexiTanks) - see link here for reference:

I can't put the grommet in there so easily, can you advise me how to put it in there? if I don't put it there everything will leak, do you think the grommet will solve my problem? Thank you
Hi,
Many thanks for your enquiry, you're certainly correct in wanting to ensure the grommet is properly in place, without it there will be leaks.
In order to aid insertion we'd recommend you wet the grommet or use a very small amount of household detergent (washing up liquid etc) - that should help to ease the grommet in.
Hope that helps, all the best
I roughly made a 50 50 mix of coco and rice hulls. The plants are starting to turn really light colored so i dug down like 5 inches or so and its dry. Is this normal or did i add to many rice hulls?
Hi,
Many thanks for your enquiry, I spoke with our technical team about this. They felt that on balance the grow media should work on a structural level - ie. it should wick up sufficiently to feed the plants.
Given that the plants are turning light, they felt it was more likely that the plants aren't receiving sufficient nutrition from the feed they're getting.
There are several possibilities here but firstly it's important to check where all your levels are. That means checking EC levels in the reservoir and pH levels in the reservoir and in the module tray.
If those are normal and the system is operating correctly it leaves the possibility that the rice or coco isn't properly stabilised and may be interfering with / stripping nutrients.
For further advice you can DM us via insta @autopot_global or contact us via www.askjosh.autopot.co.uk/ where it may be easier to run through your setup and identify what's going on.
Hope that helps
That does not answer his question..why is medium dry..it should not be?
@@user-oj8hy9uh3gWhat you expect them to say without seeing the setup?
Could be many things including mistakes on the users end.
If the plant has an insufficient root system they wont get the water up anyways
Also could be that the tubes or something arent properly placed so the tank cannot provide the water needed or that they are plugged with something or or or..
How about the 100 pot autopot system set up … damn
Oh man I put the black fabric squares in the pots with the gold squares on top facing up did I just mess it up ?
Will still work as intended. Don't worry.
Indeed, it is really a matter of preference. If you go gold face down it can offer a slight, extra level of protection against any roots that do get around the sheet but in truth the difference is minimal.
Have the pipes got too be flat?
Hi,
Many thanks for your comment, apologies for the delay in responding. The pipework needn't be pinned flush to the floor etc but it's always wise to keep undulations to a minimum. Provided you have good gravity pressure it should work fine this way - elevating your reservoir by 6 inches / 150cm is an ideal way to ensure that your pressure is always sufficient.
Hope that helps, all the best
A brilliantly designed system. Ideal for all skill levels of gardening. Had a brilliant crop return last season during the extreme temperatures we had in UK. With the XL AQUAvalve5 system, I used BioBizz liquid feed without any blockages.
Customer service was also very helpful to answer my queries

Can you mix dry nutrients into the reservoir?
Hi,
Many thanks for your enquiry, apologies for the delay in responding.
When using dry nutrients we always recommend you mix up a 'stock' using your nutrient powder of choice and some reservoir water in a jug or similar outside the reservoir.
Always do so in accordance with to the nutrient producers' instructions
Hope that helps
Thanks for the helpful info. Currently saving now to purchase a set up like this.
How long can I reasonably expect to go without filling?
Hi,
Many thanks for your enquiry. The usual disclaimers will apply here - depends on plants grown, weather conditions / climatic controls if indoors etc etc.
However, as a rough guide we'd say that:
In the early part of the season (when the plants are establishing and growing) the reservoir may last
up to 3-4 weeks.
As the season progresses the maturing plants will begin to
consume more water and liquid fertiliser. In the height of summer growing tomatoes with large amounts of fruit the reservoir will last between 7-14 days.
Remember, if you're not elevating your reservoir in order to induce gravity pressure you'll always want your reservoir to be a min of 1/3rd full.
Hope that helps, all the best
Do u have two use the dome
Hi Jason,
Many thanks for your enquiry. You don't have to use propagation domes, they're not an integral part of the system as such.
But they are a great optional add on for helping young plants get established in a watering system. Propagation domes help to generate the humidity that young plants crave.
Humidity is an essential part of the micro-environment close to leaves. Lack of humidity directly around plants is a leading cause of poor early growth - as leaves curl to protect the plant and transpiration stops.
Your environment, system, and nutrients may be perfect but without local humidity growth can stall. And often when growth stalls for lack of humidity growers will assume something's wrong with feeds, grow media, system etc etc. There's a risk here that you start tweaking the wrong thing, doubly risky when plants are young.
Some will say 'every bird has to fly the nest someday' and go right ahead without domes. But to our minds there's nothing wrong with a gradual approach.
If you're interested we have the Propagation Domes available via our online stores:

Love your stuff, but you guys really need to develop a Potdivider/Airdome/Air 3in1 Base, we don't have much space and we all want to use less plastic in general + using resources mindfully eases our mind.
Extra Tip: make a whole series made out of hemp-plastic and slap the competitions tushies ;-)
I have no issue with this system . Way less of a footprint than any other option out there aside from soil and fiber pots outdoors !
Indoor there is no better system for simplicity and massive yields
Can I take away 1 bucket and run just 3 plants?
Hi,
Many thanks for your enquiry, apologies for the delay in responding. In answer to your question: yes, absolutely.
The systems are designed to be completely modular so you can add / remove the pots and trays at will.
In the case of the 4Pot System:
If your system is already set up you'd simply ensure the reservoir tap was off and that the plants had emptied the other module trays before removing a module.
Then simply use the tee connectors / flush tap supplied to reconfigure and cap the loose end where the fourth module previously was before switching the reservoir tap back on.
If setting up with just three modules then use the tee / cross connectors / taps supplied to configure as required.
Hope that helps, all the best!
Can I get auto pot xxl 4 pot system with 25 gal pro tank instead of 12 gallon tank
Hi Alex,
Many thanks for your comment, are you in the US?
I'm guessing so given you're referring to imperial measures.
If you are indeed in the states you'll be served by our excellent US distributors at AutoPot USA.
I'm pretty sure they do offer reservoir upgrade options.
If you contact them via the details on this page: www.autopot-usa.com/contact-us/ they should be able to sort out something that meets your requirements.
In the UK? For custom orders get in touch via: orders@autopot.co.uk

What PH should be used with Rockwell cubes and clay pots ?
Hi Justin,
Many thanks for your comment, we'd recommend pH 5.6
Hope this helps
@@autopotuk thank you, I just did a 6 pot XL setup and killed 2 plants. I started with 5.6ph but after checking the internet everyone was running 5.8ph so I switched 5.8ph 🤷♂️
@@justint5625 it doesn't matter that much. Range should be between 5,5 - 6,5
@@tobiasklazar8006 well it does for certain Strains. I killed 2 plants outta 6 🤷♂️
U put the red thing on the end of it all? Is there not any more "secure" plug? Been watching a bunch of videos but u seem to always skip the "ending part of the hose and jump in to fertilizer and stuff. I don't want a swimmingpool at home 😂😂😂 Anyone?
Hi,
Many thanks for your enquiry, if you go to 10:03 you'll see the 9mm (3/8") inline / flush tap has been inserted into the end of the pipe run.
In the 'closed' position this is quite sufficient to cap off the end of the pipe - remember there's no pumps involved so the only pressure acting on the tap is gravity.
The tap simply pushes into the open end of the pipe.
Hope that helps, all the best!
Why not go over that u still need to buy an extra grommet or 2 and another valve for the drain because the kit isn't fully complete? I had to go back on and order more stuff after spending 300$ on my 4pot setup with 3.9gal pots I wasn't happy at all.
Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear about your experience, I've reached out to AutoPot USA and will be back in touch shortly.
All the best
Hi Mike,
If you get in touch with AutoPot USA via lukes@autopot-usa.com they'll be happy to look into this for you
