Paldea is a decent set, but when you consider it's close to 40% under MSRP, that's what makes it great. I grabbed a case of ETB's at $24 each, and the ETB promo Pikachu with starters is the best ETB promo in years.
I do love that promo as well. Kind of upset I didn’t grab PC ETBs when they were available, but it taught me to take a closer look at them in the future.
Battle Styles is a good set. The Tyranitar V is amazing and the Urshifu Vmax is cool. At least put in a only deals. It’s definitely not trash. Other than that great list.
I’d probably just buy a Silver Tempest box from the Pokémon Center. That way you’ll know it’s legit. Reseals and fake boxes aren’t a huge issue, but it’s important to know what to look for. Once you gain more confidence, find good deals from locals stores or online retailers.
@@albertbernal7434 Elite trainer boxes are different products from booster boxes. Booster boxes have way more packs. ETBs tend not to perform as well over time. I personally am only buying Pokemon Center ETBs for specialty sets like Paldean Fates, Shrouded Fable, etc.

I didn’t like how it wasn’t full screen either. The problem is that I was jumping back and forth between the cards so it would have been a pain to constantly edit and cut the video everytime i jump back to the tier list. Maybe in the future I’ll just pop cards up on screen.
Easy for a viewer to nitpick, but you basically moved fusion strike high since it’s being hyped. But at $220, buy a case doesn’t make sense to me. Brilliant stars has more potential to climb based on today’s cost basis of Pokemon center prices. SV base was low, but at $90 a pop right now, seems like at least a box or case makes sense. Battle styles trash, guess we’ll see. $100 a box right now and first trainer gallery. In the end it’s all about y/y growth potential and how long it’ll take to get there. Pick of SWSH while you can and find those deals to pick up SV in the $75-95 range per box. Thanks for the content
I bought 28 boxes of FS before the pump. I definitely didn’t put it that high because I’m falling into hype. I agree that it’s better to buy BSTARS and LO right now at their current prices, which is why it’s ranked lower than both. I actually made a video about that. That said, it’s still going to be a decent investment long term, especially if you can get in around $200 or less.
Agree heavily on temp forces.. "these are fucking awesome cards!" I think the special illustration rares will rise with the future and ancient Pokemon in the future 🔥💯

Honestly i like silver tempest artworks and maybe i’d say if your only chasing the lugia use the same money you would spend on a booster to pick him, cuz it has no sense in terms of earning when you buy this set, litterally the only thing that’s whort it its the lugia and you should be able to find it somewhere for 100bucks even in good conditions, surely if you want to grade it at a 10 maybe this isn’t the best strategy, yet it depends on the seller you’re buying it from
For example i bought one booster and got some goodies but not really something big, indeed i’ll problably buy the big boi for my birthday hoping i can grade it at a ten, not because i want to invest on him but just because he’s on of my favourite legendaries.
Plus i really suggest to the newbies to have a focus on pokemons, for me its buying all the cards that are linked to my childhood or that i simply watched on the cartoons. So once u have a focus you already know what to chase or not, and surely when u buy a set put in consideration if that set its really worth that much money. For example if you like some cards from battle styles check the price of whatever product that might give what you’re chasing and then check the single value of the cards and consider if its actually better to invest in products that might give you the goodies or just directly buy what you’re searching for guaranteed.

If I divide booster boxes by 36 packs, the price per 3 packs is sometimes significantly higher than for a 3 Pack Blister..and in the longrun blister prices are matching the pack prices from a box from what i have seen. Don’t get caught into the trap of breaking down pack value. Booster boxes will always have a premium. Moreover, selling fees and shipping costs in the future will eat into your returns. I’d just recommend saving until you have enough for a booster box, in most cases. I’ve made a video on the returns of 3-pack blisters before. You should check it out. I break down the numbers in it more thoroughly.

Yeah I honestly don’t know. I had some bad assumptions on a few of the cards. One of the biggest shocks to me is that the Shiftry IR is only like $4-5. Insanely cheap.

All the Fates series don’t have Booster Boxes, but if they were included in this list, Hidden Fates would probably be at the end of “Buy a case” and Paldean Fates/Shining Fates would be probably towards the end of “Only deals”. Might even put Shining Fates lower than that.
I don’t see much in the set outside of those couple cards. Maybe long term it’ll do well, but personally, I’m looking for things with a bit more depth.

Paldea Evolved might be one the most underrated sets ever. I bought 2 boxes earlier this month for £87 each, which is about the cheapest ive ever seen a booster box for. Also i dont get why Battle Styles is so ignored either, especially at the price its been for so long. I guess it was the timing of the release, but theres definitely more good cards in there than earlier SwSh sets.

Paldea Evolved such a great set. Picked up 2 cases this past weekend for sub 650.

S&V Base set is a sleeper at this price to me. The way S&V block set is going it might make SH&SH take a run for it money.
I agree, S&V is great. Obviously, I am hoping for some large chase cards and draws for the back half, but we’ve still seen some solid sets so far.
