Agree with most other then TM, I think the art is fantastic on the illustration rares, and the geometric style on others is really cool. 151 is still the best art though.

Another overlooked card in Paldea Evolved is the Heracross IR. I know a ton of folks who’s favorite pokemon is heracross and he’s a solid Gen 2 pokemon. Unless it has a massive reprint, I think it’ll be one of the best SV sets for the nostalgia factor

Yeah... however, the art rares in Twilight Masquerade are absolutely fantastic, and we still have a popular pokemon in greninja, plus the trainer SAR's in Twilight Masquerade are some of the best we've seen so far, like there's just a lot of variety. I agree that the ogerpon cards are a little underwhelming but we haven't even seen the english cards in person, so it's kind of hard to judge something based on practically nothing. either than that, this is a really cool video! I agree that paradox rift is underrated
Solid ranking. Im curious to see whay happens with Twighlight M. There are a few cool cards in there, and japanese collectors are snapping them up. Battle styles is a great sleeper set, i hope it hits $250 down the road, even if it takes a while

I agree about twilight masquerade. Looks like a weak set. If the cards are playable that may help the card values for a while, but for collectors it’s pretty lackluster.
I think the Groudon illustration rare is going be the next card to take off in price. I won't be surprised if it hits 75-100 in the next 6 months. I also think that Chansey card from Twilight Masquerade is going to be a surprise hit.

Considering every single S/V booster box is under 100 bucks, excluding paldea, snagging a box of any of them will return profit and hold value. Look at sword and shield, most boxes were selling under 100 when they were releasing, and they’ve SKYROCKETED since. I’m a sealed collector myself, and even though I enjoyed opening sw/sh more, as a sealed collector i think S/V will hold more value overtime because there’s just SO MUCH to pull in comparison
Your take on kids aged 8 to 13 and their view on SV couldn't be more spot on. My 6 yr old daughter gets bored looking at her mothers Base master set, but can't get enough of my Paldea Evolved binder. That and Scarlet and Violet just became the 3rd highest grossing pokemon game of all time. I know where my 401k money is going.....
Also the evolving skies Pokemon center etb with the eviloution on it is expensive but it’s a beautiful box to add to the collection and I’m positive a crispy sealed box would be good to invest in 💯
It almost does not matter how crappy any of the S&V sets are, the gem rates are so low compared to those of the S&S sets, that all the S&V sealed product will likely perform very well… so stock up while the prices are still cheap.
It definitely matters how good the sets are. It doesn't really matter how hard it is to get a 10. More moonbreons than charizards but yet still more popular. Also the sir are extensive easy to grade. Only some of the illustration rares are hard to grade
The upcoming english 151 restock will be interesting. Might get super cheap. I only invested in german (small hope no reprint) and in japanese displays...lets see

You do know value wise paldea evolved beats temporal forces and the set came out a long time ago. Temporal forces is pure Gen 9 with some remakes of popular pokemon that a lot of people actually hate.
I think TM will be better than people think. Personally i think the Greninja looks great. It is quite hard to judge a few of the SV sets until we have the full era to reflect on. A lot of people slept on CR and FS until very recently. I think the same will happen with likes of TF and TM.

I think the issue i have with lost, cz, and brilliant to a lesser extent is everyone is doing those plays. Good sets but almost to much supply for the demand especially cz. With what heppene with fusion and chilling people wernt ready but the other two people saw coming. I still think the plays are paldea, paradox, temporal, fusion, silver and to a lesser extent and brilliant. But in the long run most of these will do well.
Am trying to get the Paldean fates master set. I collect shinies in game. Less of a. Money thing for me. ( with this set ) I love code cards too. Play the tcg.

General rule of thumb in investing its best to diversify. But I always go for buy low to sell high. Buy Japanese 151 Scarlett and Violet, crown zenith, pradox rift and Paldea evolved. Imo crown zenith and 151 Japanese are so cheap right now and these set of cards are amazing. I can’t stress that enough.
Personally every new set right now I would just buy a case of since you can currently get a case of twilight, rift and temp forces for like $700… A CASE!! Fast forward 2-3 years and each set will have exploded to $200-$300 a box and ppl will be scrambling for cash to get their hands on it

I really liked this presentation. I think you should do it monthly. Every time you talk about twilight mascarade, I start laughing because I can tell you passionately dislike the set. I really hope I can save some money soon to buy a case of the Paldea evolved before it goes higher. I know there will be a reprint but people want to buy first print of items and if I can get them at 100 a box or lower, it’s perfect.
Celebrations was really fun to set collect at the time it came out and I really thought it would have some investment power but my thoughts on that set have changed dramatically especially after everything you mentioned....with that ugly Pikachu symbol it feels like a Mcdonalds set to me now Lol

My brother in chirst. Look at the 20th anniversary generations set and tell Me why they were going for $800 a both when celebrations was out. Those boxes are $600 today. Pokemon is wild theres things that you can predict like evolving skies because the set is killer. And then Theres sets like evolutions and generations which go up but the sets are nothing to write home about

Usually pretty much agree with you on everything but chilling reign is EASILY the best set from sword and shield behind evolving skies.. look at all the alt arts in the set the art works and pokemon are great in the set and its a little bigger of a set like evolving skies and don’t get me wrong fusion is in 3rd just for the fact of its missing a little substance it should have had a couple more alts in the set but evolving skies/chilling reign/fusion are the top 3 in my option and have all 3 completed master sets and lost and brilliant and celebrations had to make sure I had all the best sets from the area completed and in perfect condition tucked away
More isn't always better. The people have spoken. They like fusion strike more. Chilling reign has been out of stock for a long time, and it still can't surpass fusion. If they weren't galarian birds it wouldn't even be comparable. Chilling is pretty gen 8 heavy. Fusion is basically the first 3 generations. New pokemon will never beat old pokemon
Probably shouldn't recommend people to spend ANY money on like 80% of these products. Focus on what's actual WORTH time and money. I get your going through the list but isn't Vivid Voltager like 120-130, there's no growth. AR come in every BB too. Rebel Clash? Nothing really in that either. Shining Fates, it STILL available on PKC, people have WALL full of them, it WILL hurt you if you buy into that LOL
I also said that 10 times it's great for people's collections only. Remember, on my channel, we're fans first, collectors second, and investors third. Not everybody only cares about money.

Big 3 radiant cards, alt art mewtwo, peelable ditto cards, based off of the most popular phone Game of all time. It's still not great but I think it might do better then what people think

I can name hundreds of cards that nobody wanted for a long time that are now super popular. If you think pokemon go is that bad, it proves you're pretty new to pokemon because there are so many more worst sets than pokemon Go.

Despite being printed to the moon Crown Zenith will ALWAYS be fun to open and eventually sealed will dwindle. To put Crown Zenith and Vivid Voltage in the same category takes away all credibility

This is the most expensive pikachu released in the tcg since gold star and the 2nd most expensive rainbow in the entire Swsh era. Tens of thousands of people started back up with vivid voltage. That's where I think it's okay to take a chance on a few booster boxes.

If crown zenith wouldnt be printed so much it would be actually crazy good set. Probably after 5 more years it will go down as one of the best sets.

You can get both Japanese boxes for $40 a box. Japanese collectors aren't going crazy for this set

Definitely a solid box. It will just take a bit of time to sell compared to a regular etb.

I really liked this presentation. I think you should do it monthly. Every time you talk about twilight mascarade, I start laughing because I can tell you passionately dislike the set. I really hope I can save some money soon to buy a case of the Paldea evolved before it goes higher. I know there will be a reprint but people want to buy first print of items and if I can get them at 100 a box or lower, it’s perfect.

Celebrations was really fun to set collect at the time it came out and I really thought it would have some investment power but my thoughts on that set have changed dramatically especially after everything you mentioned....with that ugly Pikachu symbol it feels like a Mcdonalds set to me now Lol

I agree with literally everything on this list minus 1 set, Paldean fates. It’s way better than that. Just my opinion. Oh and that Greninja from twilight Mask is a massive sleeper.

Me why they were going for $800 a both when celebrations was out. Those boxes are $600 today. Pokemon is wild theres things that you can predict like evolving skies because the set is killer. And then Theres sets like evolutions and generations which go up but the sets are nothing to write home about
Everything in pokemon did that. It was the boom. Generations is a great set.

@@userofsharingan I don't know where you're getting your prices from but the #2 card isn't $15. Charizard is $60, flareon is $40, sylveon is $30, gardevoir, pikachu and the other sylveon are $20. I also don't know what point you're trying to make.

Usually pretty much agree with you on everything but chilling reign is EASILY the best set from sword and shield behind evolving skies.. look at all the alt arts in the set the art works and pokemon are great in the set and its a little bigger of a set like evolving skies and don’t get me wrong fusion is in 3rd just for the fact of its missing a little substance it should have had a couple more alts in the set but evolving skies/chilling reign/fusion are the top 3 in my option and have all 3 completed master sets and lost and brilliant and celebrations had to make sure I had all the best sets from the area completed and in perfect condition tucked away
More isn't always better. The people have spoken. They like fusion strike more. Chilling reign has been out of stock for a long time, and it still can't surpass fusion. If they weren't galarian birds it wouldn't even be comparable. Chilling is pretty gen 8 heavy. Fusion is basically the first 3 generations. New pokemon will never beat old pokemon

Focus on what's actual WORTH time and money. I get your going through the list but isn't Vivid Voltager like 120-130, there's no growth. AR come in every BB too. Rebel Clash? Nothing really in that either. Shining Fates, it STILL available on PKC, people have WALL full of them, it WILL hurt you if you buy into that LOL
I also said that 10 times it's great for people's collections only. Remember, on my channel, we're fans first, collectors second, and investors third. Not everybody only cares about money.

I’ve recently made a big investment in sealed vaporeon, jolteon and flareon vmax boxes as they were slept on a bit and they’re so beautiful

I can name hundreds of cards that nobody wanted for a long time that are now super popular. If you think pokemon go is that bad, it proves you're pretty new to pokemon because there are so many more worst sets than pokemon Go.

@@PokeBeardTCG no it's not worse than those but to rank it so highly is absurd. Vivid Voltage Pikachu doesn't have the strength of a Burning Shadows Charizard lol It's not even in the same stratosphere. It's simply not worth opening the set when there is ONE mediocre chase lol
Despite being printed to the moon Crown Zenith will ALWAYS be fun to open and eventually sealed will dwindle. To put Crown Zenith and Vivid Voltage in the same category takes away all credibility

There are so many sets with literally 1-3 chase cards that are worth $50 and less that the boxes are worth a ton. I also never said it was similar to the zard lol. Nostalgia rules all. This is the most expensive pikachu released in the tcg since gold star and the 2nd most expensive rainbow in the entire Swsh era. Tens of thousands of people started back up with vivid voltage. That's where I think it's okay to take a chance on a few booster boxes.
