Great Video my friend! I was thinking of taking it a step further with my cards that have Top Loaders to put them into a Top Loader Binder. Just need to find where i can get one XD
Thank you! I think Gemloader makes Top Loader binders and while I personally can't say anything about the quality of their binders, a lot of people swear by them.
@@basesetmew ahh nice, I’ll check them out! Thank you so much! 💯
i triple sleeve then place in a toploader and that goes in a toploader binder then i put in a safe, i have pidgey cards
Gotta keep those pidgey cards as safe as possible!
Over kill and that’s a lot of pressure on the cards
@@ansarsiddiqui312 Sarcasm..
thank for showing me the perfect fit seal sleeve, just bought some for my binder :)
Yeah me too, I didn't know anything about it !
Great Video! This is exactly what I needed as I just started my card pokemon card collecting journey :)
Thanks and welcome to the hobby! ✌️
Absolute great video. Thank you a lot !
I use the perfect sleeve + penny + toploader and into my top loader binder.
Thats sick i also have Something Similair tho i never customised mine like you do
the top loader binders are awesome.... so much more joy flipping though collection, the look and feel is great🔥 - give it a try 🙏
Note when sleeving the dragon shield you should only put that card in 2/3 of the card in, then slide the "closing" part in and use it to push the remaining of the card in... it's almost as fast as pennysleves....
Personally (for my Master collection(s)) I have then in Dragon Shield and then in top loaders - and then in top loader binder (note that the binders 9 per page, is massive... like 50% bigger or so compared to a normal one but totally worth it)..
For my trader binders and spare cards I simply use the dragon shield or perfect fit. easy, perfect and keeps all dust etc. away.
And thanks a lot for sharing 🙏
Thank you too for the insight on how you protect your collection!
Yo nice video,
I basically do the exact same thing as you. I also use extra team bags specifically made for the one touches but they are so loose and baggy I really hope someone brings out perfect fitts for them.
Also whats the difference between premium toploaders ans normal toploaders?
The premium Toploaders are usually a bit more rigid and clearer compared to the standard ones. They’re also made from recycled plastic if that’s something that matters to you.
5:53 nice method there
Thank you
Nice
Thanks for the explanation. Are the pokemon etb sleeves acid/pvc free?
The Pokemon Company doesn't confirm whether they are Acid / PVC free or not so I'd assume they are not and just grab some Ultra Pro / Dragon Shield / KMC Sleeves.
For the magnetic card holder. Can you use the psa graded perfect sleeve in this video to protect it or I have to use different team bags?
The magnetic card holders are a bit smaller compared to PSA slabs (One Touch =108 x 72mm - PSA = 80 x 135mm)
Graded card sleeves will still work though but Ultra Pro also makes sleeves specifically for their One Touch cases.
Dragon maid sticker! Man of culture indeed 🙌
😏
Can expound further why you dont recommend ring binder?
I just bought one for my Kayou collection. 😅
Card-> Dragon Shield perfect fit-> Ultrapro platinum pocket sleeves-> generic D-ring binder (from school supplies, but the rings are not on the spine, so the pocket sleeves wont bend overtime).
I personally don't like Ring Binders because they are so big and bulky. They are a good way if you have a ton of cards and if you're working on a Master Set or Pokedex themed binder.
As long as it's a D-Ring Binder you're good to go know!
@@basesetmew i see. The good thing for me if using ring binders is that the cards are layed flat. Coz the inner cards are slightly away from the spine. They dont convene into one junction when the front cover is closed. But i think this issue may not be present on established brands when they design the pages on their albums. Could be they consider the overall thickness + spacing for every pages.
But yeah..they are bulky and need to take extra caution when carrying the binder.
Hi can i ask regarding hose card saver semi rigid sleeves. Is the color clear and transparent? Or is it bluish? (Like ultrapro toploader). Thanks.
The bluish tint is there although not as pronounced compared to the Ultra Pro Top Loaders. I think part of that is just because they're much thinner than Top Loaders.
@@basesetmew tnx a lot for ur replies bro..
Is it to risky to sleeve my cards in a ultra pro penny and then in a toploder because of the space? Should I use perfect fit sleeves for toploader or card saver?
No, using a Penny Sleeve with a Toploader / Card Saver is completely fine and even the preferred way of storing your cards for certain collectors.
Im looking for clear and transparent toploaders. Any recommendations bro?
Im not really into ultrapro toploaders coz they have this bluish color. I prefer clear white color and very transparent.
I don't know of any clear white Top Loaders. I think they're all going to have an inherently bluish tint because of the material.
@@basesetmew ohh..but generic toploader (non branded) is able to make clear ones though..but i worry about generic toploader coz its a bit cheaper and dont know if these are acid free..
I heard using a perfect sleeve and put another sleeve ,after that putting card inside card saver is the best way, is that true? what about using magnetic case? will it damage the card?
Yeah that the best way to store your cards IMO.
The Magnetic case will not damage the card since 35pt is perfect thickness for a card + perfect fit sleeve.
@@basesetmew so for magnetic case i still need to put a perfect sleeve n put inside the case, right? Are u sure magnetic case not damaging the card for a long terms? I heard lots of the case will have some bent to it if it stay for too long
Yeah I'd still sleeve the card to avoid surface scratches & edge damage. I've not heard of cards being damaged by One-Touch cases, bending (to an extent) usually comes from moisture in the air.
Just make sure you buy a One Touch case with 35pt (either from Ultra Pro or Ultimate Guard) as they are perfectly recessed for a Pokemon Card with a Perfect Fit Sleeve + they also have the "Diamond Corners" to protect the corners of the card.
are dragon shield sleeves+ dragon shield codex enough protection for my bulk common cards?
Yeah that’s more than enough protection!
Really weird question. When you sleeve cards that are tight fit, have you ever slightly flexed the card, as ive tried not to do this with my cards but it happens when sleeving or putting them in the binder. I understand not doing it to much but is it 100% unnavoidable? My ocd is my worst enemy 🥲 try to keep everything perfect.
If the sleeves are a bit tight, I like to loosen them up by inserting 2 Energy cards first a few times. That usually does the trick.
@@basesetmewwould temp flexing cards do any long term dmg ? D: also using energies is a good idea
Depends on how much you're flexing them. If they're only flexing by a little bit, it's unlikely to do any long-term damage.
@@basesetmewit’s only a little bit on odd occasions and I don’t re sleeve often if at all . Thank you for your input !
No problem, anytime!
I don't know the size for Marvel Masterpieces Cards but would the binder / penny sleeves mentioned in this video work with them? 🤔
I'm not too familiar with Marvel Masterpieces Cards. I'd suggest just buying a pack of penny sleeves and see if they fit. If they do then they should fit into a standard binder.
@@basesetmew cheers I’m gonna try that! 👍🏼
I use BCW penny sleeve. Would you say that’s acid free? I hope so lol
Pretty sure they are. You can always make sure and check the packaging, Usually it should mention “Acid Free”.
Are kmc perfect fit acid free and no pvc ? And how ofter do you have to change the sleeves
All KMC sleeves are acid free. I don’t change my sleeves at all unless they somehow get damaged.
Hi !
What is the use case of a matte sleeve ? Is it just for the esthetic ?
Yeah it's just for the esthetic and personal preference.
@@basesetmew Thank you :)
151 has 360+ cards, I'm looking for a binder I can sleeve and store master set in, prefer a 9 pocket per page, any recommendations?
Are you sure 151 has 360+ cards? According to Bulbapedia the set has about 210 cards.
Either way I recommend an Ultra Pro Pro Binder (9-Pocket) which holds 360 cards. If you really need more, I’m pretty sure there’s no way around a 12-Pocket binder since that’ll hold 480 cards.
@budgetpokemon including all holos reverses, exs and promos 151 is 360+..I'll probably go with a 12 pocket even though I prefer the 9 lol
Oh right, I forgot about the reverses. Same here, I prefer 9-Pocket binders but there isn’t one that holds more than 360 cards.
Good luck with your master set!
where do you store your toploader/cardsaver cards?
I usually put about 10 of them in a Team Bag and then just store them in one of my cabinets together with my other cards.
What is the best binder for a whole collection? I’m collecting every card of shiny treasure ex but I want all cards in 1 binder
Shiny Treasure ex contains 360 cards. The Ultra Pro Binder I showed off in the video can accommodate 360 cards so I'd be perfect for that.
You don't have to buy the exact one, just look for a 9-Pocket, 20 page Binder from a reputable company like Dragon Shield, Ultra Pro, VaultX, Ultimate Guard ect.
@@basesetmew aaah thank you mate! I will buy the one in your description 🙂 You got a new subscriber 🔥❤️
Oh and is it safe enough to put cards worth 10 dollars or 5 etc in a binder or do you use something else for that?
As long as you're buying from a reputable company it's safe. A couple of my friends have cards in their binders that are worth 1000€
@@basesetmew thanks for the reaction now i know it safe! But I would NEVER put cards worth 1000 dollars in a binder hahaha 🔥
Im using a new vault x binder and those perfect fit dragon shield and i swear my cards look like they are bending in my binder or it might just be the binders pages not sure lol
I’m not familiar with the Vault X Binders but my cards look completely fine. Could it be moisture that’s causing them to curl?
@@basesetmewdo you have any idea how to stop cards from sliding out in a side loading binder its doing my head in ngl haha tried double sleeving using perfect fit ds resealable then ds matte doesnt solve the issue really
Are both sides of the binder page occupied with cards? I think cards sliding out usually only happens when only one side of the binder page has cards in.
@@basesetmewyou know what imma check and test that out as didnt think of that lmao gonna check that
Whats that “Inder Sticker” ? Pink one
Do you mean the sticker on the top right of the binder?
Is it okay of you don’t dubble sleeve
Absolutely! If you just use an outer sleeve from KMC / Dragon Shield / Ultra Pro that's perfectly fine.
I triple sleeve my cards, i use a kmc perfect fit, then a clear transparent deck protector sleeve and then an ultra pro penny sleeve followed by a top loader and a top loader sealing plastic bag.
That’s one way to make they’re as safe as possible!
Overkill and too much pressure. Will damage your cards.
That’s dumb as f*ck. But you do you lmao
