- Taxes as a contract welder. First and formost you need to do everything very legal! We advice hiring an account whos soul job is to do taxes! alright now that we have that out of the way lets talk Taxes. This is not a fun subject but as a 1099 or contract welder we have so many advatages over an employee welder. One of the biggest is when it comes to write offs. We can write of anything that has to do with the business. trips where we went and talked to future customers or met other welders. Living expenses fuel in the truck and welder and probably the biggest is all our tools. When you pay 16,000 for a new pipe pro 400 or something like that. all that money is a write off. its used towards building your company. Now taxes are a strategic thing to help build the country. they give more write offs to employers, people who are hiring other people and creating jobs then they do to an employee. Why? Because the employer is actually bringing business and income into the country and employing multiple people which in turn gets them off the ever increasing burden of the government by providing income to those people. makes sense why employers get more write offs. Insurance this is a tough deal. I agree 100% you should have insurance. your wealth can be whipped out in the matter of minutes without it. but as far as taxes go. employee or contractor you will be penalized for not having it. it will all be determined on which tax bracket you are in but it is always good to have health insurance. hopefully this answers your questions about these two subjects.

Down here in Florida it's hard to gauge the time of year because it is always hot. I forget it's winter then I see you scraping snow off the truck.
I guess we all have to play the game at tax time and try and pocket much as possible.
How many tax is there in US aproximatly for self employes ? Here in Geramany is around 50 % incl. Helth insurance.

But trump has been in office 3yrs....so sick of your people blaming Obama for everything makes me wonder 🤔🤔🤔 what you really think Jake
What are you talking about man? I’m talking taxes, I’m talking if you don’t want health care you should t have to pay for it. I’m talking ways to keep more money in your pocket. It’s not my fault he called it Obama care. I get fined if I don’t have it and I get fined if I do.
