  • While talking to my friend Michelle ‪@burstingbees3618‬ on the way home, she recruited me for her first swarm call of 2023. We scoop up a nice little swarm in Denton, TX on the first full day of spring.
We capture a very docile swarm of honey bees by taking the entire branch that they are resting on. Its spring, swarm season is upon us.

WOW. Just shake the bees in the Nuc and add drawn frames. If they stay the night, than what do you do? Did you see the Queen? Nice size swarm

We didn't want to spend time digging through them looking for a queen. She was obviously in there, when returned later they had all filed in the ez nuc

Oh man I would not have left them. Did they stay til dark? Whenever I have left them like that, they took off in an hour or two.

Just spoke to Michelle they stayed, not a bee on the outside just after dark. This was late in the day, otherwise would have scooped them up then.
