Everything you said is exactly how I felt. She is a messenger from God and we all are lucky to witness this Earth Angel.
She practiced hundreds of times and lay down for a few days after the performance. It's like a stage that burned everything. Singing live with a soft body for 7 minutes and 16 seconds is touching and amazing.
She took us on an emotional rollercoaster ride. It is arguably the most technically challenging and emotional song she has ever sang. A masterclass in vocal technique, stamina and breath control. . I have seen this performance dozens of times and it still gets to me each time. In the speaking part she said: "when I'm lonely, who will comfort me? It's you (EVERYONE). Thank you for a great reaction and analysis. Look forward to the next Sohyang reaction.
Heard this song over a hundred times and still gives me chills all over my body everytime I hear again.
The word I think you were looking for is that she's a vessel who's channeling the message. And BOY is she. She always makes me feel good. THIS is what music is supposed to be about; To make us FEEL!

Ohhh, I'm sure you loved this one. It's her one-off masterpiece. 7+ minutes of endurance and vocal perfection
She continued her powerful voice until she finished signing. It felt like i was soaring through the sky while listening to the song. Just perfect.
I always get goosebumps when I see & hear sohyang & I did with this amazing performance, which I watched for the 1st time without subtitles & it blew me away. I then came across this performance with eng subs & OMG!!! I cried, my whole body felt like one big goosebump because I was experiencing the ‘feels’ to a whole new level, even by sohyang’s standards. I recommend you watch it again by yourself on Vimeo as they provide eng subs.
Listening to her sing in this performance you wouldn’t think that it was more difficult for her than any of the other songs songs seems to elevate to masterpiece level, because it’s done so smoothly but according to Sohyang, apart from the fact that it is nearly 8 mins long, it’s so full on & packed from start to finish with sheer brilliant vocals, she says the biggest problem was finding places to take a good breath & keeping that constant air supply. In my opinion I see this as a true masterpiece.
Like you, I don’t go to church except for the usual things,!weddings, funerals etc & I don’t have a strong faith but Sohyang makes me feel something, something I can’t explain & I find myself wanting to go to church & worship ‘something or somebody’ (I already worship Sohyang!!!!).
Again, like in all her video’s, the vocal technique is beyond perfect but even that is secondary to what Sohyang has that is one of the reasons she stands out among others, and that is her ability to ‘emote’ & take you on a journey & tell a story. Practice,practice, practice will always help you achieve good vocal technique, but the ‘feel’ of the song comes from somewhere deep deep deep inside & I believe that part of singing is either there or it’s not, you may be able to improve that part of your craft but at the level it’s present in sohyang’s performances, I think that is something that can’t be taught, but I am no musician or vocal coach, it’s just my humble opinion.

What you said about her being a messenger is spot on. So Hyang herself stated in interviews about how she always tries to be the vehicle delivering the message of the song. And with her strong convictions and reasons for singing, she makes sure to choose the songs she sings very carefully.
Songs that align with her values.
This is also among the main reasons why she avoided signing with major local and international labels despite many oppurtunites all these years. She felt that doing so would restrict her freedom of choice significantly.
As a fan, it does feel like a waste for her to not be known more and have worldwide mainstream success. But at the same time, it makes me respect her much more for being that rare person and artist, who chose to remain true to herself, regardless of how cutthoroat the entertainent industry is today.
I'll tell you one thing.
There's no one better in storytelling than SoHyang. Absolutely none.

Rather, she always tries to empathize with us, offering unconditional love.
If there should be only one word to define her music, that must be "Love". She always talks about
Love and embodies it singing a song. Love is what she's all about. And, in her Love, there is no
place for judging and pushing.

This song too almost suffocated her but she comes thru with her big Smile, Hope and Love in her Heart! This is not her original song but it is her own rendition. In the original song there is no English part-only fully written in Korean. But Sohyang wants to convey her gosphel soul(which is Western genre music) so she put her own English lyrics there. I love her originality and she is so special. Btw the Korean lyrics also really fits her - I am your siblings, I am your song, I am your joy forever. Sohyang is truly my joy, my song herself. XD Your facial expression..That is exactly my face everytime I hear her song.

Oh not to review or react but just have a a drink with friends and smile. The take on the Kinks David Watts is a hoot. You name a classic rocker they play with it AND write brand new old stuff.
