A lot of music box USA is actually filled with fake stories that have been popular for years, I recommend film retrospectives UA-cam channel for Beatles videos, a lot of information that me as a diehard Beatles fan had never knew.
It's funny, when I was a kid who had just discovered The Beatles, and barely undertsanding English, Run for your LIfe was one of my favorite songs and it still kinda is :D
While I do like “Run for your Life,” mainly cause I think it has one of John’s catchiest melodies, I can also understand why he didn’t like it. John was always open about his violence and anger issues during the Beatles’ early career and was very critical of himself for the way he treated his first wife. “Run for your Life” is all those dark parts of John that he hated put into words, so I can understand why he came to despise it in later years.
I honestly don't think it's detestable, if you look at it as being an intentionally fucked up and preposterous song, which I think it is, it just comes across as an attempt at a darkly humorous song done in somewhat poor taste.
@@thecreepyllama I never said it was detestable, I said John hated it, which is true and is mentioned in the video. No matter what any of us think of the song, it is still a fact that it was John’s least favourite of the Beatles’ catalogue and that was largely down to what I mentioned in the original comment.
I was looking forward to this commentary after watching your full reaction to RS. After listening to all their music and all is said and done, Rubber Soul will be regarded as their best collection of songs and their most influential album and arguably the most influential pop/rock album of all time. So many new sounds and different genres featured along with the creativity in the use of the studio took music in a new direction. If a musical genius like Brian Wilson had his mind blown. Who are we to argue.
Could you do a reation to Mic The Snare's video, Deep Discog Dive: The Beatles? It's a long video but it's definitely worth the watch. Great to see you back!
One reasonnLennon didn't like Run For Your Life because he took the line "I'd rather see you dead little girl than to be with another man" word for word from a line in the song Elvis made popular called Baby Lets Play House.
You need to react to some Beatles bloopers/outtakes . They're hilarious. There's a bunch of compilations on UA-cam where you can hear them doing mistakes on some of the takes they do. And it's just so funny . 😂😂
Hey D ! Welcome back Son !! Rubber Soul was 'butchered' by US record label when I heard it as a teenager as were all capitol albums until Sgt. Pepper. Imagine that as you get to hear them as it was intended and imagine that most of us relic beatles fans in USA loved it unknowing the fuckery of capital records. One more thing you will soon realize is that your favorite album will change over and over and including when you think you've decided , lol !
I agree with you about Rubber Soul. The best songs on later albums were a little harder hitting, but like you said this one has zero letdowns. The only misstep, for me, is the track order. In My Life really shouldn't have preceded the last few tracks. It just makes them feel like a step back. If they came before that masterpiece they'd seem like better, more impactful songs.
the beach boys had a 4 track +and 8 track to record,,,when the beatles got 4 tracks they made peppers,,you see in usa they used 8tracks since the 50"S in uk not until end of the 60"S
Hey since you talked about your stomach problems and bad diet and stuff, you should eventually listen to Nirvana (it's the 90s but we'll get there eventually won't we?). Kurt Cobain had those same problems. But I think the 5 most important or iconic bands ever are probably The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Nirvana, so they're a must. Filling out the rest of the top 10 is harder because there are so many huge bands but Radiohead, Black Sabbath, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, The Doors, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, The Police, ABBA, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, The Cure, Bee Gees, Blondie, The Kinks, The Clash, Genesis, The Smiths, Dire Straits, Eagles, and even Coldplay are all strong contenders. You should probably write em down actually lol
Lowkey that John bias is def going to go away when you see the shit he talked about the other members and how much of a dick he was. Still love him though
The in my life disagreement was that Paul said he helped a little bit with the lyrics and John said he wrote it completely alone. I tend to believe Paul because John never remembered anything lol. But it was probably just a bit. Paul also being so passive aggressive in his little petty songs smh… okay paul we get it
I disagree a lot with this video. The protagonist of You Won’t See Me is an egomaniac? Norwegian Wood is specifically about a liberal woman? This dude is just making shit up lol. Most of these Beatles history videos are boring, and either surface level or full of subjective interpretations given the weight of truth. Seems like dude just skimmed some Wikipedia articles then made some shit up for flavor. Appreciate your input though Darius.

Some audio level issues in the first half, the video was a little louder than I anticipated 😅 Won't happen again! 😤

THE GOOOOAAAAAT RETURNS
One of the best albums of all time.
Your love for the Beatles is infectious
Can’t wait for you to hear “We Can Work It Out”, one of their best songs / singles
14:56 LMAOO THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST OUT OF CONTEXT MOMENT
That caught me off guard😂
Run for your life is incredible
Paul wrote the melody/music for In My Life
No, that is debatible.
I think you would like The “Get Back” Peter Jackson Documentary.
Maybe not for YT.. but.. worth your time.
Absolutely correct...In My Life in just 2 minutes, contained so much... It was the perfect song .
It's funny, when I was a kid who had just discovered The Beatles, and barely undertsanding English, Run for your LIfe was one of my favorite songs and it still kinda is :D
You should listen to those singles! ‘We can work it out’ is one of my favs! Happy yet sad
I came to say the same thing! Two great songs there!
I agree run for your life is good
Hey, as you did the movie "A Hard Day's Night", it would just seem right to do the "Help!" movie. Happy to see you back. :)
Greatest to have you back again, love your reactions, The Beatles are the bringers of Joy, Rubber soul is a great album.
There are videos out there for every Beatles song. That's what keeps me interested :)

Love your judgement, humour, open-mindedness and yer ears!
Glad to see you back, man :)
THE GOAT HAS RETURNEDDDDDDD

For the lyrics of Run For Your Life John was inspired by an Elvis song Dirty, Drity Feeling
Missed you my music loving brother!!
looking forward to that Beach Boys Pet Sounds reaction. It's one of the greatest albums ever made.
Yesssss…my fav too. Audio Gummies? Lol
Let’s fucking gooo

Glad to see you back, you should do a tier list of all the beatles album.
Rubber Soul is my desert island album
Could you do a reation to Mic The Snare's video, Deep Discog Dive: The Beatles? It's a long video but it's definitely worth the watch. Great to see you back!

Cant wait for Pet Sounds 😭😭 fire asf
Welcome back! the best!
ahaha the dentist slipped LSD into john and georges coffees without telling them and they were hooked
Yeessss He’s Back!!!
Great video and loved your narration.
About Beach Boys, start from Get Around or California Girls, to God Only Knows and Good Vibrations.
It is waaayyy better than "Little Child"!!! Great to have you back.

One of the best albums and the best youtuber
George's 3 part lead guitars gets overshadowed by 'controversial' lyrics that weren't controversial at the time.
you have to hear free as a bird and real love! free as a bird has the greatest music video of all time
some solo stuff may give them some better context too
John's dentist secretly dosed his drink with LSD once and that was the first time a Beatle tried it
5:09 Yep. A dentist gave John and George LSD (I believe, as a painkiller) :)
(Definitely wouldn't get away with it now)
"Authorship" was a bad term. John said In My Life was all his, and Paul said, I recall having quite a bit to do with the melody, basically.
The authorship disagreement for In My Life was about the music, not the lyrics
I’ve said it before but Rubber Soul is the peak Lennon/McCartney tag team.
the beach boys had a 4 track +and 8 track to record,,,when the beatles got 4 tracks they made peppers,,you see in usa they used 8tracks since the 50"S in uk not until end of the 60"S
14:14 Apparently the other 3 Beatles were a bit scared of him when he first joined the band lol
you have to check out let it be, love your content bro
Bro plz listen to Pet Sounds. It is absolutely perfect.
What you playing on those emulators G?
old DS games
please watch the second beatles movie.. Help! (1965)

This is a great list I already got them In my Notes thanks Al 🔥
Beatles are goated of course, but… Drake or Kendrick??
Kendrick! Since day one
@lifeofdariius Same here bro 🤝
3:10 "unpresidented".... ummm... "unprecedented".
Sooo.. when are we getting a Stg. Peppers reaction? 😅
React to Pink Floyd!
I always enjoy your videos, but on a technical note I could only hear you talking in this one when you paused the other video.
John said every song he ever wrote was the worst thing he ever did.
Lowkey that John bias is def going to go away when you see the shit he talked about the other members and how much of a dick he was. Still love him though
i mean he was still cool with ringo and george, i think it was just paul and tbf paul was throwing shots at him all over ram
The in my life disagreement was that Paul said he helped a little bit with the lyrics and John said he wrote it completely alone. I tend to believe Paul because John never remembered anything lol. But it was probably just a bit. Paul also being so passive aggressive in his little petty songs smh… okay paul we get it
Paul never claimed to have written any of the lyrics to In My Life. Paul claimed twice in the 70s to have put John’s words to music and a melody
DARIUS you should put yourself in the lower corner, so you don't cover them in some of the photos
