Tom: Thanks for this tip. Saw someone from Ireland give the same advice. It has helped me hit chip shots significantly better. Also, keeping the weight forward , legs quiet and the buttons on your shirt facing the target at the end of the shot. I have watched your videos for 6 months. I would never thought that tilting, lead arm straight, back arm tucked in and head centered would make such a difference. But it does! Keep up the great advice.
Just had to comment: I am 50 years old and have had the chipping yips my whole life. I’ve had lessons and tried all sorts of tips but nothing ever worked. I watched your video and went down to the park muttering that I bet I will still duff it but something clicked. I’m hitting it low, high, even hitting flops and off any lie. Nobody ever told me that the left arm is the important one. Thank you thank you thank you
You are far too kind, Frank! I sincerely appreciate your support, and I'm glad to know that my instruction content and teaching style are resonating well with you!! Tom

The part about breaking it down to geometry and physics, and referring to your body as a machine, and the left arm as the radius not allowing the right arm to take over, is simply excellent. Thank you.

SO YOU NEED TO READ THIS! I was having a lot of trouble chipping, hitting it fat skulling etc. I went out today and worked on it for about an hour. Had a big playoff match tonight at my club. I had to win the 9th hole to extend the match. I was about 30 yards from the pin in the fairway with a very tight lie. I brought my 56* and a 7 iron because I was afraid to shank or skull the wedge. I hit he wedge thinking about the right arm tucked and left arm straight. I hit it 1 foot from the hole to win it. I know it's not a big deal but it was so gratifying to have this shot in my pocket and actually use it and have it work under A LOT OF PRESSURE! SO THANK YOU!!!!
That's *AWESOME,* Rich! It was a big deal to you, which makes it a big deal to me! I'm very glad to know that this lesson and technique clicked with you; excellent job incorporating it into your chipping stroke and putting it into play. Thanks so much for sharing your on-course success in a pressure situation. Keep working at it and you'll be amazed at how quickly you'll be able to really dial in your greenside game! Tom Saguto, PGA

I had been playing golf using the traditional weight transfer method for 4 years. Really frustrating - one step forward two back. Golf wasn't fun and I was ready to quit. Found Tom and gave his method a try. I saw results instantly. This is my first full season using his teaching. Can't wait to see how much I'll improve this year!
That's the problem with the shifting weight, William - backward, forward, and then backward again into a reverse pivot and the abyss of chronic frustration.... 😎 Conversely, this centered, powerful, low-maintenance, body-friendly swing system is designed to provide a lifetime of blissful ball striking up to and including at the game's most elite levels. Thanks so much for your support in sharing your success with it, keep up the great work, and have fun out there!! Tom
William, don’t mess around, sign up for his website training like I did last year. I was like you, frustrated shooting in the 100’s. After 1 season of practicing Tom’s methods i’m regularly in the mid 80’s. If I shoot over 90 I’m having a bad day

This has been huge for me! I watched this video and just shot the best round of my life! I went out of bounds 6 times, hit 1 fairway all day, and still shot an 85! Because of my improved chipping, I was able to mitigate the damage and I got up and down for par 4 times. This has been game changing!

Been testing for 2 days with different clubs with Tom's video in front of me. Took me 30 minutes to chip/pitch crisp shots with confidence. This has potential to change players score cards if watching Toms lesson. over a few times and grasping the dynamics.
I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you, Larry; excellent job incorporating it into your chipping stroke!! Thanks so much for your support in validating this technique with your experience!! Tom

Just got back from the driving range about an hour ago using this new shipping technique, and it worked perfectly! I was actually laughing at the driving range because the ball was just coming off my irons like never before. I usually use my woods and keep my irons in the bag... Not anymore! Thanks Tom.
Nice job, Ronnie! I'm glad to know that this chipping technique had you "Shipping" your iron shots into the next zip code!! Hey Tom. Played yesterday and put this technique into practice and I can honestly say that my chipping game improved 100%. Consistently closer on all my chips. In fact, chipped in on #14 over the bunker for an eagle. No doubt a bit of luck involved, but without this tweak, I would have never been close. Thank you so much. This will be in my game from now on!
Awesome job building this lesson into your chipping stroke, Darren! Thanks so much for sharing your success with it, and congrats on that chip-in eagle!! 💪💪 Tom
This is news worthy. I remember a time back in the day when the small town news paper would cover eagles, birdie strings (four or more made in a row) and holes in one. We need to get back to running our local newspapers with an eye on local golf accomplishments as they happen, keeping everyone current on excellence achieved on the golf course. ⛳️ No one pays attention to the $177 Trillion unfunded national debt or erosion of individual rights any how so might as well cover news that's occurring on the fairways. But that's just me. Thanks and Congratulations on your eagle. I wish I was there to see it. I hope you weren't nervous.
Tom, you fixed my drive, you sorted my irons....now its the short games turn. And i have one hundred percent faith that your lessons will work their magic there. I cant wait to see my handicap tumble the way my confidence used to tumble the moment i needed to chip a ball because its all starting to feel really good ..like im actually in control
Sounds great to me, Ken! I'm thrilled for your dramatic tee to green improvement, and I'm very confident that with some appropriate work you'll be in possession of a solid short game to go with it. Then we'll see that handicap tumble! Thanks for your message and ongoing support, and keep up the fabulous work!! Tom

I have been having chipping yips for over a year now. Watched & tried dozens of techniques taught on the subject from UA-cam. None worked. Friday watched this tutorial and today tried it after hitting 10 to 12 balls during warmup. I kid you not. It worked 100% during our monthly. Ball was checking on green too. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
Awesome Awesome Awesome 😎 I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you; excellent job incorporating it into your chipping stroke and putting it into play!! Thanks so much for sharing your greenside improvement and keep up the great work!! Tom
Tom I've been using your chipping method that you cover in your online school and it's very similar to this. However if I now focus on keeping the left arm straight and the right arm tucked it produces even more consistency. Thanks for another great lesson!
It's all about eliminating those variables, Bob. I'm glad to know that this helped you take your chipping to a new level of KFCrispiness!! keep up the great work!! Tom
I wanna see an episode with a large KFC Bucket filled with golf balls which Tom doesn't say a word but just pures crispy fried shot after crispy fried shot where the ball goes soaring through the sky like an eagle zeroing in on its prey. This would be one helluva of birdie turned eagle turned pure awesomeness. Thanks
Thanks again Tom...this is great advice. My backstory is...... I avidly played Golf from 2000-2008..... I left the game completely and just started back up again. Back in the 2000's I was a disciple of certain "position oriented" teachers, where all they talked about was 8 positions, and how your hip to waist ratio needs to increase - yada yada yada........ What these teachers hardly ever mentioned was the utilization of the clubhead as a "tool" and where its position should be at impact and how to create a consistent contact point.... consequently, I never improved and was actually a worse player 8 years later...your stuff makes total sense to me, my friend and these videos have helped my range sessions tremendously and I like that you're a Hogan disciple as well...thanks again for the work that you do..... PS- here's my swing...lol... ua-cam.com/users/shortsh-JVNryKdhs
Welcome back to this greatest of games! I'm very glad to know that my instruction is resonating with you. This body-friendly, powerful, consistent, low-maintenance swing system I teach is rooted in physics, geometry, and human physiology, and as such it does not discriminate by age or ability - from kids to seniors and everyone in between, inclusive of the best players in the world. I do understand the "P's" and include them in my instruction for those who wish to learn that way. But I also do my best to convey multiple “feels” or thoughts throughout the swing wherever possible because we're all different, and something that resonates effectively with one golfer may not necessarily work for another. However, no matter the variety of suggested feels/thoughts offered for a particular element of the swing, they are all directed at getting each individual golfer to achieve the desired positions, motions, and ball striking results. This is one reason is why the comprehensive, structured, sequential learning platform of my online school is so effective, and why thousands of folks across the globe are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result (and I'm happy to let their unsolicited testimonials tell the story: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews ). The lessons and drills provide the guidelines and set the boundaries, while allowing ample leeway for each individual golfer to infuse and exercise their own uniqueness. Thanks for your kind words and for sharing your story, keep up the great work, and please give some thought to the online as a means towards taking your learning - and your game - to the next level! Tom
Hi Ken, You may find a couple of related videos here if you enter the word "chip" into this channel's search bar. However, the vast majority of my short game content can be found in the online school: saguto.golf Thanks, Tom
So last night (6/8/23) I went in the yard and used this learning. Holy Shite!! Talk about "crispy chips!" Yeah buddy. I was lobbing 56 degree 60 yarders right into the zone! Also, used this in order to get control of my 3 wood. Like many golfers of my high handicap, I usually leave it at home. But, I realize I need a high yardage fairway tool and the 4 iron just can't make it. So, I'm going to master the 3 wood come hell or high water. Well, last night I made several fine, I mean smokin', three wood shots. The flubs were just a breakdown in process. I'm a believer my friend. Thanks again Tom!!
That's awesome, Jonathan!! 💪💪 I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you; excellent job incorporating it into your chipping stroke - and your full swing - and putting it into play!! Here is a related lesson that may help you further with the full swing: ua-cam.com/video/ukwnUkpWxHM/v-deo.html Thanks so much for sharing your chipping and ball striking improvement and keep up the great work!! This is the best explanation for consistent chipping and pitching. In my opinion I think the key is tucking the right arm in so that the left arm becomes the dominant arm. This keeps the circle as you describe and the swing feels natural and less robotic!
I'm very glad to know that this chipping lesson resonated with you, Peter! It sure has helped a lot of golfers to eliminate variables and groove a reliable stroke. By the way, this concept also applies to the full swing as I demonstrate in this video: ua-cam.com/video/GQI6SoL1AUg/v-deo.html Thanks for your message! Tom

OMG, think I'm gonna fall in love again with golf thanks to this video!!! Have golfed on and off for years, taken plenty of lessons, and practiced on a regular basis. Still I've struggled to gain the semblance of a decent golf game. As much as I've wanted to improve I was just spinning my wheels. My wife who's played far fewer years beats my back end on a regular basis. I make the game way too complicated, but I recently stumbled across this instructional video. Initially I though there's no way the game's this simple...can't be??? I watched Tom's animated explanation on the role of the lead and trail arms, and their relationship in the golf swing. I thought what do I have to lose, and spent a few hours at the range. Within no time it clicked and I was chipping better than ever, without the yips, and it even seemed to transfer to my other short irons. I was hitting them much crisper and straighter. I thought it was a fluke and decided to wait until I'd spent more time practicing this simple concept. I actually improved each day out. Now, I'm not expecting to become a single handicap anytime soon, however, I think this instructor is one of the best at simplifying the game and creating the basis for a sound swing. Can't wait for a new more confident golfer to be awaken! :) Tom, you're the MAN! Thank you so much... Tom from Canada😊👍

@@SagutoGolf Tom, thanks for your reply and for the helpful full swing video. It makes perfect sense, hearing that thud while you achieve that ball first divot. And, allowing the arm to fold while keeping it tucked in longer. Will definitely consider joining your online golf school, especially if it will help me score better than my lovely wife...lol.. Thanks again, so glad I've found your instructional videos!. Tom
Tom I used to do all the wrong things, specifically a straight right arm....as well as weight neutral, not forward. LOTS of chunks and skulls. Went to the chipping area and tried your techniques. Mind blowing how improved my chipping has become. I waste more shots around the green and it's extremely frustrating, looking forward to taking this to the course. You are without question the best thing to happen to us struggling golfers. You do God's work, and its greatly appreciated.

Brilliant…found the trail arm glued is a massive key for my great, crispy full shots so makes sense to pitch and chip this way too. Simple and repeatable…love it.
I watched this video a year ago and was really not happy when I had to chip because I wasn't sure what would happen. I applied these simple instructions and now I look forward to chipping because I know what is going to happen because I practiced Tom's technique and its a game changer.
Another great concept explained expertly. Thanks Tom, you've already shaved multiple shots off my game. This could and probably will be another. You are a great teacher, plain and simple. 👍🔥

A huge "THANKS" to you Tom for doing this video (chipping). It was a real eye opener as to keeping my "left arm straight and my right elbow tucked in next to my rib cage". Also, using my left shoulder as the "axis" for my swing was a key to solid ball contact.
My pleasure! I'm very glad to know that this chipping lesson resonated with you, and I hope it delivers crispy greenside consistency when you incorporate it into your stroke! Thanks for your message and support! Tom
Thank you so much. I took your full swing video on the course and hit every fairway and increased my yardage by 20 - 30 yards at 72 years old. My golf buddies told me I could go ahead and tee off on the 2nd hole. I hit into my friends waiting for their 2nd shots and before I new it I was on the greens in two. What a fun day. Say goodbye to Rotary Golf.

Great video Tom. I got the chipping yips a few years ago so bad that I bought a left handed gap wedge. Got pretty decent with it. Then someone suggested that I try cross handed. Been doing it ever since. I have a very good short game. It keeps the left arm in charge and also levels the shoulders for a shallower arc. Really enjoying your training program. Still needs work but those KFC crispy strikes are happening more often now. I'm getting close!
Great stuff, Barry - I'm very glad to learn of your crispy progress!! And heck - if a major champion can win with a cross-handed chipping grip, then why not? I'm glad to learn of your progress. Keep up the great work!! Tom

I'm a pretty good disc golfer with some amateur wins under his belt. I have been transitioning into ball golf the last 6 months. After watching this video, you made me realize I was still trying to be right hand dominate because that is the arm that generated all my power in disc golf. I just chipped with my 9 iron using this technique and you speak the absolute truth. The balls looked like they were being launched out of a machine. The grouping was all within 10 feet. Thank you so much. Can't wait to take this to the course and win some money from my Uncles.

Have you discovered that keeping your right arm tucked in and slight bent works better now? Your chipping and pitching videos from 2 years ago you talk about and show that both of your arms are kept straight. Just inquiring if this new technique works better. My pitching and chippins is awful so I am looking for the best way. My wedges are my weakest clubs in my bag. Your videos have helped my game so much. I was ready to quit golf until I watched your videos. I am enjoying golf again. Thanks Tom.
I'm very glad to know that my instruction is resonating with you; excellent job incorporating it into your swing and putting it into play!! There is no conflict between the "straight arms" lesson and the tucked trail arm. In that older lesson the "feel" is straight arms. Of course, the wrists hinge and the trail arm folds to 90 degrees, and I made a point to specifically mention that. Here's the thing: I do my best to convey multiple “feels” or thoughts throughout the swing wherever possible. We're all different physiologically and psychologically, and something that resonates effectively with one golfer may not necessarily work for another. However, no matter the variety of suggested feels/thoughts offered for a particular element of the swing, they are all directed at getting different golfers to achieve the desired positions, motions, and ball striking results. The lessons and drills provide the guidelines and set the boundaries, while allowing ample leeway for each individual golfer to infuse and exercise their own uniqueness. Thanks so much for sharing your improvement and keep up the great work!! Tom PS: Would you like to learn some key aspects of the swing I teach in a more structured manner? This last weekend I actually started doing what I thought I had been doing (LOL). First, I tucked the right elbow and turned my wrist to grip, I did not turn the elbow (as you are doing in this video). But more importantly, I finally "forced" myself to keep things connected from the top. I have been getting to the top pretty well, and I would have sworn I was getting the downswing right, but I actually wasn't. I wasn't patient, I wasn't allowing the body to turn, and instead was swinging down kind of arms first. I mean of course the body would turn, but things were no longer connected, and I never really knew I was doing that. Once you do it right, once you feel it, you'll know it. I have been watching a lot of your videos, and I know others are too (love this chipping video using the same technique, can't wait to play tomorrow). You get to the top and swing down with your body, that sequencing is somewhat invisible to us weekend warriors, but I went from a pretty ugly start on my warm up to...CRISPY! Just finally kept everything connected on the way down. I don't sway, I get the shoulder under the chin with some tilt, the left arm is straight, but this got me to crispy (I was hitting both thins and chunks when I started warming up for my round). Went out and hit a lot of good shots after that warm up, very determined to get this fully ingrained. Thanks Saguto, I appreciate you.

You know I love watching golf videos because I love how the swing works and normally although these videos are great it's not really sorted for everyone because everyone else might have a swing technicality problem that doesn't allow them to produce the shots the instructor is demonstrating in the lesson which is why I always prefer to see a golf coach in person instead. Today I played 9 holes and my wedges were shocking and normally it's the best part of my game so this evening I headed out to practice my wedges but before I did this video popped up so I watched it and saw the 100% fool proof title which obviously I was sceptical at first because the title is very click bait anyway finished the video and went to the course to practice and using the two key elements mentioned in this I hit 95% of my ball on the green from 20, 30, 60, 80 yards. This video has really changed my wedge game. I am so grateful for this video and for saguto golf giving us this free knowledge that would cost people many to know about ❤
I initially wasn't quite sure where your comment was going to take me 😎... but I'm very glad to learn that this lesson performed well for you, and I sincerely appreciate you sharing your improvement!! With regard to video instruction - and particularly as it relates to SagutoGolf - I do my best to convey multiple “feels” or thoughts throughout the swing wherever possible because I do recognize from having given thousands of in-person lessons that we're all different physiologically and psychologically, and something that resonates effectively with one golfer may not necessarily work for another. Here's a link if you would like to know more about it - saguto.golf Think of it this way: With an in-person lesson, the pro is there with you for 30 minutes or an hour - typically at a pretty substantial price tag - and then they're gone. With the online school I'm there for you on-demand 24/7/365, delivering the exact lesson and drill content that you want or need to be working on at that specific time, at an annual "tuition" that is the same or less than what you might pay for a one-hour live session. You can rewind me, slow me down, backtrack, pause, etc. as much as you wish. With a private lesson I suppose you can ask the pro to backtrack or pause, but it'll cost you and the message may be a little different each time. Thanks again for your message and keep up the great work! Tom

Went to my backyard last night , and chippied this way . very great ! i used to chip this way 15 years ago , i used to copy seve , he does it this way . but i forgot ( i unconciously did what he did). Finally you fixed me , push straight back, a little lower body , ,pull and turn and i got it ! Will it work for bunkers ?? thank you , finally after 15 years ! Your better than tom watson , i saw his chipping videos , he never said this . I had my doubts about you , not anymore .
I'm very glad that this lesson resonated with you; excellent job incorporating it into your chipping stroke!! I would not consider this to be a technique for bunker "explosion" shots, though it could work for a "chunk and run" type of sand shot. My best suggestion is to visit a practice bunker - or the beach like I did in this video: ua-cam.com/video/y6lsY3Pd85I/v-deo.html - and experiment with different techniques to figure out what works best for you. Your full swing worked for me so I had little doubt your chipping and pitching method would also work. It did, and very well. I wanted to try it out before playing so took a bag of balls to our practice area and hit about 250 pitches and chips using this method. I chunked one. I played today and used it on the course. Four pitches to within two feet and a couple of chips equally as good, yielding some birdies and saved pars. I have been yipping my chips and pitches for a couple of years now and have tried so many different tips. It's not that they didn't work, but for all that I hit well I was still plagued by a mix of chunks and skulls. I felt confident with your method and there is no denying results. I got my wife to try it and it worked for her as well.
Excellent job incorporating this lesson into your (and your wife's) short game and then successfully deploying it on the course so quickly! Thanks for sharing your success with this and keep up the great work!! Tom

Tom .. this is absolutely one of the best videos you've put out so far. Thanks for helping my game since I became a subscriber a few years ago. Great stuff !!
I’ve come to this video because my short game is destroying my round so much so that I’ve now started shanking my chips! I will give this a go and come back to you … Thanks and Subscribed 😊
It is 1220a.m. and I am watching this video. That says volumes about my current chipping situation. No chance to practice before my 9 a.m. tee-time. Going to give it a try just the same. Sounds like a reasonable technique to me. Dang I hope it works.🤔
Sorry about the insomnia, Charles, but I'm very glad to know that this chipping lesson resonated with you. I hope it performed well when you put it into play today! Tom
My Paisan. I needed this real bad. I chip good then bad. No consistency. The lasagne’s layers of my chip world, were curling and burning . The ricotta was spewing all over the place. This might change my chipping issues. Thanks Tom. Best instruction out there. Nick Lover told me to only listen to you or him. No one else!! He’s right
The imagery of the lasagna debacle.....oh, the humanity..................😩😫😆 With regard to your (previous) chipping issues, Veni, Vidi, Vici. It's a sealed deal and a foregone conclusion. Hole the chip; take the cannoli.
This is a top tip , I played the opposite , right hand took over the closer I got to the pin , since changing to this method my game has improved beyond belief 👍
Outstanding!! I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you; excellent job incorporating it into your chipping stroke and putting it into play!! Thanks so much for sharing your greenside improvement and keep up the great work!! Tom
Just tried this in garden, 5 beautiful strikes in a row!! Wow, you are good! One quick question, when swing gets longer for pitching, the right arm stays glued on back swing, can it leave body on through swing for a bit more freedom?
I'm glad it performed well for you, Simon - nice job!! I would prefer you not have a complete disconnect, so at least try to keep the armpit area glued up to a nd including the full swing. TS
I'm glad to learn of your chipping improvement, Nasir - nice job!! As for distance control, you dial that in through practice and experimenting with different clubs, ball positions, stroke length, etc. Keep up the great work! Tom
Was watching your video, couldn't chip (SKULLED IT), so had to attempt this. I kept my right arm in and left arm straight. I hit it pure baby bullseye! I felt cocky so moved back about 50 yards. I'm pretending the pin is between two trees(15' apart). I would have had my first 50 yard chip in! Your right man, "it's like cheating haha" thanks again!
Awesome! I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you; excellent job incorporating it into your chipping stroke!! And yes - you can take this lesson even further back and apply it to your full swing if you'd like. I use a lot of your techniques and I'll use this one. The thing I like about your videos is, that you hit the ball many times demonstrating what you have just taught. There are many golf videos out there where an instructor talks to you for 8 - 12 long boring minutes but never hits the ball using the technique they just verbalized. Also, I like the fact that you don't waste my viewing time referencing what some pro golfer does in his swing. That would never apply to me. I don't care what a pro does, I'm not a pro, I can't swing like a pro and I'll never be able to swing like a pro. I'm a 20 handicapper at this time, but I'm getting better with your videos.
I sincerely appreciate your kind words, Phil, and I'm very glad to know that my instruction content and teaching style are resonating with you!! To be fair, I will occasionally reference a Tour players swing to drive home a particular point. That is because this body-friendly, powerful, consistent, low-maintenance swing system is rooted in physics, geometry, and human physiology, and it is modeled on empirical observations of the game's most prolific ball strikers. As such it does not discriminate by age or ability - from kids to seniors and everyone in between, inclusive of the best players in the world. Interesting video and something I am going to try, the concept definitely makes sense. Chipping and pitching have been my problem for years!! The one issue I have with video is we dont see the ball flight and if it "actually" goes as you are suggesting, anyone can say that was a great shot when the window we see if very small.
I'm glad this lesson resonated with you. I can say that I have received many unsolicited messages from golfers saying that this has dramatically improved their respective chipping games. As such I hope it performs well for you too! Thanks, Tom
Just came across this today. It's right on. I've always had the yips with chips but if I remind myself to keep my right elbow next to my waist I chip so much better. Thanks Tom!
Tom, no doubt this will help with everyone’s chipping but also after two years of shanking and looking for swing faults, I found that my trail arm was straightening (“taking over”), pushing the club head out further and ….El Hosel ! Keeping the trail arm bent until after impact improves EVERYTHING instantly !
Indeed it does, Philip. Nice discovery!!
Thank you thank you thank you
Excellent video. Will try this drill tomorrow
Yeah great feeling keeping left arm straight n right arm
bent.
How do I putt better no yupps

Golf is indeed a very difficult sport. But if we can simplify the swing so as not to rely on timing and/or exceptional hand-eye coordination, then we can achieve consistently great results without having to continuously work so hard. So we put in the time and effort on the front end to build the swing, and then we can enjoy low maintenance, powerful, predictable, body-friendly ball striking bliss for the rest of our lives!

Tom I've been using your chipping method that you cover in your online school and it's very similar to this. However if I now focus on keeping the left arm straight and the right arm tucked it produces even more consistency. Thanks for another great lesson!

Tom
Would love to see more videos on the short game/chipping. My issue is always with ultra-short chip shots from the rough.
Hi Ken,
You may find a couple of related videos here if you enter the word "chip" into this channel's search bar. However, the vast majority of my short game content can be found in the online school: saguto.golf
Thanks,
Tom

By the way, this concept also applies to the full swing as I demonstrate in this video: ua-cam.com/video/GQI6SoL1AUg/v-deo.html
Thanks for your message!

Tom
And yes, once again Saguto Golf tells it like it is! Great video.
Thanks Mr. Clean!!

Brilliant…found the trail arm glued is a massive key for my great, crispy full shots so makes sense to pitch and chip this way too. Simple and repeatable…love it.
Absolutely, Dale! Nothing like a fresh bag of crispy chips.... 😎

I watched this video a year ago and was really not happy when I had to chip because I wasn't sure what would happen. I applied these simple instructions and now I look forward to chipping because I know what is going to happen because I practiced Tom's technique and its a game changer.

A huge "THANKS" to you Tom for doing this video (chipping). It was a real eye opener as to keeping my "left arm straight and my right elbow tucked in next to my rib cage". Also, using my left shoulder as the "axis" for my swing was a key to solid ball contact.

I'm a pretty good disc golfer with some amateur wins under his belt. I have been transitioning into ball golf the last 6 months. After watching this video, you made me realize I was still trying to be right hand dominate because that is the arm that generated all my power in disc golf.
Thanks Tom.

Fabulous stuff, Mike, and your comment, "Once you do it right, once you feel it, you'll know it" is spot on!
I'm very glad to know that my instruction content and teaching style are resonating with you; excellent job incorporating it into your swing and putting it into play!!
Thanks so much for sharing your KFCrispy improvement, keep up the great work, and have fun out there tomorrow!!

However, no matter the variety of suggested feels/thoughts offered for a particular element of the swing, they are all directed at getting different golfers to achieve the desired positions, motions, and ball striking results. Here's a link if you would like to know more about it - saguto.golf
Think of it this way: With an in-person lesson, the pro is there with you for 30 minutes or an hour - typically at a pretty substantial price tag - and then they're gone.

Simply the best. Crushing the ball. 6 iron 190 par 3 turned some heads during league night. Got me out of the desert. Best swing teacher in the game. The only swing. I wish you were around 20 years ago.
That is OUTSTANDING, David!! I'm very glad to know that my instruction is resonating with you; excellent job incorporating it into your swing and putting it into play.

i love how you actually hit the ball. So many videos of people showing stuff but they tease you and don't hit the ball until the end!
Thanks Steve!
Thanks so much for sharing your chipping improvement - I am happy to know that I have earned your confidence! 😎

Welcome aboard, Robin - I appreciate your subscribing to my channel!!
I hope this chipping lesson and technique performs well for you!

Tom
We need the post match report!
He’s right
The imagery of the lasagna debacle.....oh, the humanity..................😩😫😆
With regard to your (previous) chipping issues, Veni, Vidi, Vici. It's a sealed deal and a foregone conclusion.
Hole the chip; take the cannoli.
@@SagutoGolf yea don’t be a Stunad, hole the cannoli,Stromboli, and by all means, tuck the elbow macaroni to your rib cage!!!
TS
@@SagutoGolf full swing as well?
Super video Tom. This has improved my chip shot. Now how to manage the distance control. Hope to get the video too. Thanks Tom.
I'm glad to learn of your chipping improvement, Nasir - nice job!! As for distance control, you dial that in through practice and experimenting with different clubs, ball positions, stroke length, etc.
Keep up the great work!
Tom
@@SagutoGolfGenerally i use 56 for chip. Can i use P, 9 etc? Thanks Tom
