Hi tamar paichadze, 💕 Thank you so much for your very kind comments. I am sorry I wasn't able to show how I painted the froggy after I made it (how to make frog ring at 6:10). I will try to film me painting them and show in an upcoming video. It's super fun and easy. 😊 Jazzy
Okay so I watched lots and lots of clay videos which made me wanna make stuff of my own so I bought lots of clay but now I'm a bit nervous and really excited to start using it thx for the video!
Hi Little Violet (love your user name), thank you for watching my vid and for your nice comment. 🤗 Gosh, no need to be nervous; the great thing about clay is if you don't like how it turned out, you can 'smoosh' up the clay and start over. Im so jealous😭😭😭 I've tried so many ways on making these rings and they just break, literally snap into pieces when taking them of or gently pushing on them. Any tips? ( I used crayola airdry clay and craft smart modeling clay).
I love this video, these are the best clay rings I have seen!! Could you please make a video on how you made the three stacking rings you showed? Have a great day x 💕💕
Hi Alisha, wow, thank you for saying that! 🤗 I will try to do that - I really need to just turn my camera on every time I make rings 🤪 then I'd have the vid already. Jazzy
Hi again Alisha; So I filmed the first half of the three stacking rings vid today - as soon as the rings dry (about 3-4 days) I will film how I paint them, and then I'll let you know when the finished vid is ready. 😊
Hello sahana ganesh, thank you for watching my video and thank you for your question.💕 Yes, you can use clear nail polish on this air dry clay instead of resin. The reason I use UV/LED resin is to make the rings hard and durable and also waterproof. With Clear nail polish, depending on the brand, you may have to apply several coats (drying well in between coats) - this will help to harden the clay (make sure to wait for the clay to be VERY dry before coating). Several nice coatings of clear nail polish will make your rings waterproof. You may, from time-to-time, have to reapply a coat of nail polish, in case it chips off from wear. Some clear nail polishes may yellow over time. Great question! Happy Creating! 😊Jazzy
Hi Jess, thank you so much for watching my video and thank you for your nice comment. 💕I hope you have fun creating lots of cute rings for yourself! 😊 Jazzy
Hi Rain Heather, thank you so much! I appreciate you watching. Sometimes I use a highlighter to tape the paper to - or for a smaller ring, the handle on a nail polish bottle. @@jewelsbyjazzy Hi again :) I was wondering if you recommend nail polish or even mod podge for the gloss? I live in a really small town so I only have access to those :)
hii is the coating part optional? can i just not seal or coat it? or can i use white glue to coat it?? also i REALLY LIKE the results ur so talentedddd!!
Hii christy, thank you for watching my video.😊 And thank you for your kind words. Regrading the coating part being optional - it depends on what you are making with this clay. For example, the UV coating makes the air dry clay 'waterproof'. While this brand of air dry clay dries fairly hard and durable, if the ring were to get wet, it will soften the clay. So, that is why I seal/coat the rings, to make them waterproof. However, if you were using this clay to make sculptures or figurines, you would Not need to seal or coat the clay. 💕 Thank you for your question. Jazzy
hi! im carol! youre are so good with the details! perfect! i cant buy a uv machine, can i seal it with regular resin, that dries on its on? do you think it will create bubbles if i do that? vernish is not good enough to make it shinny and more resistent?
Hi Carol, thank you so much for watching and thank you for your kind comments. I think a regular resin (2-part epoxy resin that air dries in approx. 24 hours) may be difficult to use, as it will drip off the ring while curing. You can try to brush on regular resin, slowly in very thin coats to prevent dripping. If you work slowly, then bubbles should not form - it they do, you can pop them with a toothpick. This particular clay is quite strong when dry but as with ALL air dry clays, it needs to be made waterproof. If you do not have access to a UV lamp, you can try Mod Podge in the Waterproof/Outdoor sealant type. I have not tried that type of Mod Podge yet, so I would still take the rings off before washing hands, showering or swimming (so they do not get wet) in case you miss a spot while sealing (several coats is a good idea). You may also want to experiment with clear nail polish on the air dry clay. Nail polish over time will chip off, so you would need to re-coat it from time-to-time. I would suggest testing out a small piece of dried clay, then using clear nail polish and let it sit for awhile to make sure the nail polish doesn't react with the clay that you are using. Happy Creating! 😊Jazzy
Hello Nur Batrisyia, thank you for watching my video. Yes, you can use clear nail polish - you may need to apply several coats to this particular brand to make it nice and strong (every air dry clay will dry to a different 'hardness'). You may need to reapply clear nail polish from time-to-time, as it may chip off/wear off. Jazzy
Hi Lenny Cake, thank you for watching my vid. 🤗 Here is an awesome glaze, made by Padico for their air dry clays: www.etsy.com/listing/881460476/padico-sealer-super-gloss-100ml-water?ref=shop_home_active_3&sca=1 I have used it on other brands of air dry clay and it works great on those also. Always test it on a small piece of dried clay, to make sure there are no reactions, before you glaze your sculptures. It dries really fast - depending on air temp. and how thick you apply it. For me, a thin coat dries in 15 minutes. Multiple coats can be applied. This is my 'go-to' glaze when I don't need creations to be waterproof. Happy Creating! 😊 Jazzy
Hello Kala Laka, thank you so much for watching my video.💕 Yes, you can seal air dry clay jewelry with an 'air dry clay sealant', such as this one by Padico.www.etsy.com/listing/920163371/padico-gloss-finish-100ml-waterproof?ref=shop_home_active_2&crt=1 It comes in a gloss or matte finish in a waterproof version. It's an awesome sealant, which I love to use on my clay pins. The reason I use a UV/LED resin on my air dry clay rings, is because rings get banged around a lot and I wanted to make sure they don't break (I use 2 coats of UV/LED resin to make them nice and hard). This particular clay does dry really durable - but like all air dry clay, it has to be made waterproof, so that if the ring gets wet, the clay doesn't get soft again, from the moisture. If you are careful with your rings, you can make them waterproof with the sealant I listed above and then you don't have to mess with UV/LED resin.😊Jazzy

Hello Başak Elik, Thank you so much for watching my video and thank you for your nice comment. 💕 I wish I was better with polymer clay. I tried to make rings with polymer clay, but they turned out terrible 🤪 I need A Lot more practice with polymer clay. 😊Jazzy
Hello Alda Lopez- Thank you for watching my video. 💕 Yes, that would work great and would make the ring waterproof and harder. If you have available, a 'no-wipe' gel polish would be easier (one less step). Have fun creating! 😊 Jazzy
Hi Jocelyn, Thank you for watching my video. With the air dry clay I used, the rings will not break if you drop them. Some air dry clay is super fragile and will break. I, personally, coat all of my air dry clay jewelry, with UV/LED resin, so that it becomes even harder and then it is waterproof. Because if Air Dry Clay jewelry gets wet, the clay will become soft again. Jazzy
These are amazing!!💖 Can I use parchment paper as an alternative for presso sheets? And what else can I use for the 4 press bars? I'm gonna buy these tools and materials from my local store :)
Hi Jhanna Cassandra, thank you so much for your kind comment and thank you for watching my video. 💕 Yes, parchment paper will work as an alternative for the presso sheets. You may want to double the sheets, to make it a bit thicker, as the moisture from the clay will cause the parchment paper to wrinkle. Or put a sheet of parchment paper on top of a piece of thin cardboard. If you have a clear file folders (the kind that go in a 3-ring binder that are sold in office supply stores - sometimes used to display photos) - those will work great. You can cut them open or cut them smaller and you will have instant presso sheets. For an alternative for the press bars, you can try stacking several Popsicle sticks on top of one another, then taping them to hold them together (make 2 sets - one for each press bar). Another option is stack several playing cards (around 8 or so depending on how thick you want your rings) and tape around them to hold them together - make 2 bundles like this and use them as a press bar on each side of your clay. Have fun creating! 😊 Jazzy
Hi Jannah Abbraham, Thank you for watching my video. 💕 Air Dry clay must be sealed to make it water-proof, otherwise if the clay gets wet, it will become reactivated. Even after sealing the clay with UV-LED resin, I do recommend removing the ring(s) before washing hands, bathing or swimming. 😊 Jazzy
Hello Shahd Drissi Elathmani, thank you for watching my video. Hi tme v Thank you for watching and for your nice comment. Yes, this clay is super SMOOTH after drying and if for some reason, I miss a spot when smoothing out before it dries, it can be sanded to smooth out any bumps or dents. Paints glides very nicely across the clay, once it's dry. I am going to try to do a video on how I make my pins and I hope to be able to show the 'smoothness'. 😊 Jazzy

Hello Shishee Meow, thank you for watching my video and for your question.💕 Try to make the rings chunk-ier (at least approx. 1/8" thick (5mm thick). Then for all air dry clay rings, I highly recommended coating them with at least 2 layers of UV/LED resin (this makes them waterproof and also makes them very strong).😊 Jazzy
Hi Nidhi's world, thank you for watching my video. 💕 If you do not have resin to seal the air dry clay that you made - to make it waterproof, I would suggest using your clay only for sculptures or items that will not get wet. Another option for making the rings, is to use polymer clay, as it is waterproof since it is made with plasticizers. But you will have to bake the polymer clay. The reason I use Yuli Air Dry clay, is it is natural and does emit any kind of toxins. It does takes many days to dry, but I am getting better at being patient. 😜lol. Jazzy
@@jewelsbyjazzy thanks but l can't bake them and really want to make because lockdown l can't go out and l live in india and l make my own air dry clay by adding cornflour and lotion it cracks but can you tell me a recipe of polymer clay with home ingredients without cooking them love from india l want to gift it to my sister in her wedding and it is very close and l am 11 years not a master in these things
@@__nid.hiii021 Hi Nidhi's world, I do not know any homemade polymer clay recipe, however, here are 2 really great videos on making a nice homemade air dry clays (called cold porcelain clay) with just a few household ingredients. One video requires No Baking and the other one does require using a Microwave. I have made the recipe from EmmyMade and made lots of jewelry with it (and it didn't crack). The jewelry I made using this recipe is strong, because the recipe contains glue, so I didn't have any cracking. I would suggest making a necklace/pendant instead of rings, then you will not have to worry about putting any type of glaze on them. Just let your sister know to be careful Not get her necklace wet, if you use either of these clay recipe to make her a wedding gift. Here are links to the 2 videos: ua-cam.com/video/VIwFus8yTmE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/zqZpFZ3BfU8/v-deo.html I hope this helps. Happy Creating! Jazzy
Hi FK -💕 thank you and thank you for watching video. Wow, that is a really good question. I know Air Dry clay glaze does Not work on polymer clay, but I do not know about the other way around. In theory, I think it probably would, as almost anything works on air dry clay without causing a chemical reaction (resin, varnish, mod podge, clear nail polish to name a few). Just to be safe, I would suggest trying it on a scrap piece and let it sit for a few weeks to see if the glaze becomes gooey or sticky. Any reaction typically takes a while. I do not have any Sculpey glaze or polymer glaze, or I would test it out for you. I found a bottle in my stash that's soooo old, I am not sure it would be a good test. I will go check out the Sculpey site and see if I can find any info on this. If I find out more, I'll write again. Jazzy 😊
Hi Violet, thank you so much for watching my video and for your question.💕 The reason I use UV/LED resin to seal my rings (I apply 2 coats) is because it makes the rings super durable, waterproof and glossy. If you are using air day clay, like I did, it's really important to make your rings Waterproof. Mod Podge does make a 'waterproof' version (I think they have a 'dishwasher' safe Mod Podge and an 'outdoor' use Mod Podge). I haven't tried them yet, so I am not sure if it will make the rings as strong as a resin coating, but I think you can still get a nice glossy, waterproof finish. Just make sure the Mod Podge says 'Water Proof' not 'Water Repellent'. Happy Creating! 😊 Jazzy
Hi myyellowvoid- I bought Crayola air dry clay to try to make these rings. They are super fragile and will break - even after I sealed them with resin. Crayola air dry clay is great for making sculptures or trinket dished or items that will sit on a shelf. Jazzy
Hi Qyunh Nhi, thank you for watching my video and thank you for your question. If you want to make the rings waterproof, using this particular clay, you would have to use the 'Water Proof Mod Podge' I think they have 2 types (dishwasher safe Mod Podge and outdoor use Mod Podge). I have not tried either type of waterproof Mod Podge, so while they will make the rings waterproof and give a nice gloss, I do not know if they would make the clay rings stronger. The reasons I seal with UV/LED resin, is to make the air dry clay waterproof and stronger. Jazzy
Hi Lisa, different clays will react differently to different sealants. For example, oven bake polymer clay reacts with the chemicals in many sealants and makes them turn gooey over time. That is why UV Resin is great on polymer clay, as there is no chemical reaction between the clay and the rsin. I use a UV sealant by the same company that makes the air dry clay that I use. You will have to check with the manufacturer of whatever clay you are using, to find out the proper way to seal it. 🙂 Jazzy
Hi again LISA, so yes, Clear GEL Nail Polish does work on the Air Dry clay. It is very similar to using UV Resin. Just follow the cure times on the bottle and it will make a nice, glossy finish on Air Dry Clay. Some Gel polishes leave a coating/film after curing, that needs to be wiped off with an alcohol pad - so if you can, try using a 'No-wipe' top coat.
Hi Kayla, thank you for watching my video. 💕 Yes, You definitely could use Mod Podge. There are lots of products on the markets that can coat clays (some do Not work with polymer clay, but Do work with air dry clay). Mod Podge and varnish are sort of different. Most 'true' varnishes are water-proof, where the 'original' Mod Podge is only water-resistant. Mod-Podge, however, did come out with a dishwasher safe Mod Podge and an outdoor Mod Podge. So, if you are looking for water-proofing your items like rings, those formulas may be good to test out. Mod Podge will Not crack this clay. Apply in thin layers (maybe 2-3 coats). While Mod Podge is a great coating, it does not add a great deal of strength to a jewelry piece like UV resin does. This particular clay, when allowed to dry properly is quite hard - but does need to be waterproofed if it's going to get wet. I always recommend taking air-dry clay rings off before washing hands or showering, even after it's been coated with a sealant. Yikes, long answer 😜 Jazzy
Hello anot- thank you for watching my vide. Yes, you can use clear nail polish on Air Dry Clay. You may have to reapply after awhile, as it may chip off and also, it may 'yellow' over time. If you are able to use UV/LED resin, that will be a permanent coating and provides a nice clear, gloss.
Hello Lilit Mardanyan - what type of clay are you using? The technique I show is for the YouV Air Dry Clay. I am not sure how other Air Dry Clays react - but it's possible a bit of water on your finger while you rotate the ring - will moisten the air dry enough to smooth out any cracks.
Hello Ruqayya Hisham- thank you for watching my video.😊 That type of clay that you describe may be more suited for making sculptures. If it shows signs of cracking, it may not be durable enough to use for jewelry, such as rings, as it would get banged around too much. I, too, tried a clay like you describe and I added a bit of water to it - to help to shape it. Then right after it was dry (before I sealed it with UV resin), I tried the ring on and it broke into many pieces. So, I decided that I could not use that type of clay for rings, but only for sculptures. Jazzy
@@jewelsbyjazzy thank you for replying 🙏 , I will try to do some sculptures with it because my dad got me two of these so I don't want to waste them, A new sub btw 😊
Hi Ines Zovko 😊 Thank you for writing and thank you for your question. I have not used Plasticine, but from the information that I can find, Plasticine does not ever dry. So the rings may not hold their shape and get dented or bent out of shape. Jazzy
Hi again, Aeriz theAeriz, Yes, you can use Mod Podge to gloss it. If you do, just know that most Mod Podge is Not water proof, it's water repellent. So, make sure to take your rings off before washing your hands, showering or swimming. However, I think Mod Podge has come out with an 'Outdoor' Mod Podge that may make it waterproof. Thank you for your great questions. 🌼 Jazzy
Hi Rama- thank you for watching my video.💕 There are lots of air dry clays available - I chose this one because it dries hard and once glossed with UV Coating, it becomes waterproof. Some air dry clays are not the best for rings, because they are super brittle when dry and can crack or break easily. This clay is a Yuli clay (link in the description). Homemade cold porcelain clays, will also be quite strong, because they contain glue. To make a ring waterproof, it will need 1-2 layers of UV resin coating. Happy Creating! 😊 Jazzy
Hi Prince Kyle Rosales, thank you for watching my video 💕- and YES, it is actually so much easier if the clay is already colored (no mess). I made a second video using clay that has colors. Make certain, that you have something to coat the clay with once it's dry, so that it is stronger and waterproof. Happy Creating! Jazzy
Hello Aaliyah Bashir- thank you for watching my video and for your question. I am not sure, as I have not yet tried Salt Dough. I found a good recipe that I would like to try, as I want to find out how strong Salt Dough is when dry. Jazzy
Hello Karma Choden Bhutia, 😊 thank you for watching my video, I am so sorry, I am not familiar with the air dry clays that are sold in India. I may suggest to try a small package an air dry clay that has the words 'cold porcelain' on it. This will be the closest to what I used. Jazzy
Hello Amrin- You should be able to use any Strong, air dry clay (some air dry clay will break really easy when dry). The clay I use is a Taiwan Resin clay that dries very hard/strong. It's important that if it's air dry clay, that you seal it with UV Resin to make it waterproof and it also makes the clay stronger. 💕 Thank you for watching. Jazzy
Hi Shorna's Shimmer, thank you for watching my video and for your question.💕 This particular clay that I use, once it dries, it stops shrinking. Also, by coating it with the UV resin to make it waterproof, it also prevents any possible further shrinkage if it was coated too soon and wasn't dry enough (it is important to wait until it's fully dry before coating). There are some air dry clays that seem to continue to shrink and shrink over time. For me, I noticed the most long-term shrinkage in pieces that I made with my own 'home-made' air dry clay that I made using Elmer's glue. For example, I made a bunch of charms to practice, set them aside as I didn't think they were good enough to sell, so I kind of forgot about them. Then about a year later, I was going thru stuff and found them - and was like OMG these things got SO TINY! So, yes, some air dry clays do continue to shrink - which is super frustrating. When trying out a new air dry clay for the first time - it's a good idea to make an item and take a photo of it next to a ruler, then wait, wait, wait (kind of forget about it) and go back to a week later, then maybe a month later or more and re-measure it to see if it continuing to shrink. But every clay is different which makes this process really tedious and I have little patience to wait so long.🤪 If air dry clay is coated with a waterproof sealant, like UV resin, then they are suitable for charms and jewelry (I would still recommend removing the jewelry before swimming or showering). I like to put a dab of glue on the hook or loop going into the clay, so as the clay shrinks, it shrinks around the hook. Then I paint it, and glaze it with UV resin - right over where the hook goes into the clay, which secures it even more once the resin is cured. Hope this helps a bit. Jazzy 🌸

I am going to have to try it out, as I do not know the answer to your question. I am curious if the dough will be strong and also if it can be baked to speed up the drying process. If I have an opportunity to make a salt dough/homemade recipe, and if it works, I will make a vid on it. Thank you. 💕Jazzy
Hi Loreyn Mantiquilla- 😊 thank you for watching my video and for your question. I am not sure if it is okay for rings, as I wonder if it may crack easily. I just received a clay similar to what you describe and I am in the process of testing it out. I think the important thing to to coat any air dry clay with a UV resin to make it waterproof and hard. Before you start to sell the rings made with the rubbery clay, perhaps make one for yourself and wear it for a couple of weeks to see how it holds up. Jazzy

😊Jazzy

hii is the coating part optional? can i just not seal or coat it? or can i use white glue to coat it?? also i REALLY LIKE the results ur so talentedddd!!
Jazzy
@@jewelsbyjazzy okayy thank you so muchhh for the answerrr!!! have a good day!! ♡♡
hi! im carol! youre are so good with the details! perfect! i cant buy a uv machine, can i seal it with regular resin, that dries on its on? do you think it will create bubbles if i do that? vernish is not good enough to make it shinny and more resistent?
😊Jazzy

I don't wanna make my air-dry clay sculptures waterproof but what should I use to glaze it (make shiny✨ ) when I paint it with acrylics?🥺
Hi Lenny Cake, thank you for watching my vid. 🤗 Here is an awesome glaze, made by Padico for their air dry clays: www.etsy.com/listing/881460476/padico-sealer-super-gloss-100ml-water?ref=shop_home_active_3&sca=1
I have used it on other brands of air dry clay and it works great on those also. 😊 Jazzy

Hello. Thank you so much for the video. But are there any alternatives for the resin part? Can we coat it with something similar?
Hello Kala Laka, thank you so much for watching my video.💕 Yes, you can seal air dry clay jewelry with an 'air dry clay sealant', such as this one by Padico.www.etsy.com/listing/920163371/padico-gloss-finish-100ml-waterproof?ref=shop_home_active_2&crt=1
It comes in a gloss or matte finish in a waterproof version. If you are careful with your rings, you can make them waterproof with the sealant I listed above and then you don't have to mess with UV/LED resin.😊Jazzy

hi ! can i just bake them instead of using uv ?
i think it depends on the clay
I love these I’m gonna try it, but do they brake if you drop them?
😊 Jazzy

The rings are so pretty! Do you happen to know if polymer clay glaze will work with air dry clay?
Jazzy 😊

hello! i was wondering if i could use mod podge to seal my rings?
😊 Jazzy

where can i get that clay & sealant?
would it be ok if i use mod podge to seal , i saw others used that
Hi Qyunh Nhi, thank you for watching my video and thank you for your question. Jazzy
I like this so much
Actually after the clay dry can we use acrylic finisher? Or gel polish clear one
Some Gel polishes leave a coating/film after curing, that needs to be wiped off with an alcohol pad - so if you can, try using a 'No-wipe' top coat.
are mod podge and varnish different? could i use mod podge instead or would it crack the ring?

Does anyone have the same problem when i try to rotate my clay around to make ring shape, it starts cracking and falls apart, how can I stop it?
Hello Lilit Mardanyan - what type of clay are you using? The technique I show is for the YouV Air Dry Clay. I am not sure how other Air Dry Clays react - but it's possible a bit of water on your finger while you rotate the ring - will moisten the air dry enough to smooth out any cracks.

Hii, how are you?
I just have a question, the clay I have is a brown one and its drier than yours so how can I shape it? It cracks when I try to.

Jazzy 🌸

How much to white for the clay drive
Hello 6- The clay takes approx. 4-5 days to dry. It will dry faster in a hot, dry climate. Thank you for watching my video. Jazzy
שלום 6- החימר לוקח בערך 4-5 ימים לייבוש. הוא יתייבש מהר יותר באקלים חם ויבש. תודה שצפית בסרטון😊 שלי. ג'אזי
How about homemade dough? Can i used it too? Its made of 2 cups flour 1/2 cup salt, and 1 cup of water. Will it work? Thank youu!
Hello I like fries uwu - Thank you for watching my video and thank you for writing. 😊 I think your recipe is called Salt Dough, which I get a lot of questions about. I am going to have to try it out, as I do not know the answer to your question. I am curious if the dough will be strong and also if it can be baked to speed up the drying process. If I have an opportunity to make a salt dough/homemade recipe, and if it works, I will make a vid on it. Thank you. 💕Jazzy

Hi im planning to start a clay rings business, the air dry clay i bought dries hard but rubbery,, is it still okay for rings?
Hi Loreyn Mantiquilla- 😊 thank you for watching my video and for your question. I am not sure if it is okay for rings, as I wonder if it may crack easily. I just received a clay similar to what you describe and I am in the process of testing it out. I think the important thing to to coat any air dry clay with a UV resin to make it waterproof and hard. Before you start to sell the rings made with the rubbery clay, perhaps make one for yourself and wear it for a couple of weeks to see how it holds up. Jazzy
@@jewelsbyjazzy thankyou so much, i dont have a uv resin since i cant buy a uv light, any alternatives?
