Darko take risks which is awesome for metal. And that means that Darko offers something for everybody. Most diverse metal experience. ❤❤❤ 10/10. This Topped Knockled Loose imo but that is still a sick record too.

I’ve spoken to some people who have had the same issue and it’s been resolved, so crossing my fingers but not holding my breath to get it sorted 🤞🏼
The synth breakdown at the end of Chrome Moon was definitely one of my favorite moments on this album.
I love the ambience of 'The Mother'. It's like you're reflecting on not just the album you heard, but life itself. The talking sounds like a home family video with all your fondest memories flashing through your mind. And then, one final flash of heaviness to close out.
Dude when the “I love you” comes in. Immediate goosebumps every time
Distant World and Pleasures are my favs of the tracks that weren't singles, Bunny suit is the best and Shanghai comes in close. Wicked video Drew

I’ve listened to this album a lot, and through the first few listens I didn’t get much from Mech Control. Chrome Moon, Shanghai, and Sora were my initial favorites. After listening to each song probably a few dozen times now, and Mech Control is probably my pick for favorite now. It’s definitely a grower.

This is their best work to date imo. I was concerned it wouldn't justify its run time but I was engaged from start to finish and the inclusion of more chill tracks was awesome. Definitely one of my top albums this year

Honestly, for me my experience with this album is that it’s so incredibly dense with heavy ridiculousness that I need to listen through each song multiple times and order to really just like soak it in before I go to the next. so like I have my first album listen and the whole time I just don’t even understand what the hell is going on and then I go through a second wave of listening to it and just slowly take everything in. Overall, however, 10 out of 10 album.

the female vocal wouldve gone so well in 5D and that synth in cry baby has such a porter robinson feel to it imo love your review and such a great album
I used to hate it when bands would release short banger albums like less than 30 mins. But this album taught me that I also would hate long albums. If you listen to each song by themselves, they are great. But as a whole, the cohesion and breaks are very hard to do. Most of the songs started to blend (no disrespect) as noise and as you stated, you start getting fatigued. Tom, Baby J and whoever produced and mixed this did a phenomenal job.

I had really high expectations going into this album, as Shanghai and Bunny Suit have been a mainstay on my playlist for months. First half blew me away, but I do think I got a little bit fatigued/overstimulated/whatever at the same point in the album as you did, that kind of track 12-14 area. Absolutely rules overall and there are so many standout moments like the Marc Zelli feature, Atomic Origin, Chrome Moon and the last couple of tracks so I'm definitely going to keep going back to it. Could have just done with maybe being 50-55 minutes, for me personally.
