Holy, i didnt realise you were a small channel, i watched your previous video wayyy back, and i just thought you had a couple thousand subscribers :0 keep it up!
@@EthanoCreates I feel like we are on similar paths from a gamejam and official release under our belts! Im currently learning unreal and 3D development myself after releasing my first 2D game on mobile and itch, Your content is one of those that keep me inspired! Cant wait to see more :D
Looks great! The state machine is nice, and I especially I liked seeing how you designed the map areas. Really enjoyed the video. One piece of advice (coming from what I've recently learned myself), it seems you've already got some good playable content, given you have an area and a boss - I would look at playtesting the core mechanics within this and get feedback to help with the improvement process - especially with the scope/ambition with this game. Better to incorporate that feedback early and should help with knowing where to expand and focus to get the most value and fun! But keep going! This is awesome.
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Great advice on playtesting, I'll definitely start gathering feedback to fine-tune the mechanics early on. Appreciate the support and the tips!
Hey man! Really ambitious project, I wish you a lot of motivation, you might need quite a lot of it. But if you feel capable of doing this and have already released a game on steam before, you're probably ready👌
I really appreciate the encouragement! It’s definitely a big project, but I’m excited to take it on. With the right scope management and deadlines, it should be possible. Thanks for the support, it means a lot!
Yo, this is inspirational man, I'd love to learn about your workflow for planning the game, cause tbh I have a hard time keeping things in check when planning my game, I'm also just in the planning phase of my game and I'm planning things out for it (i don't have the hardware to enter the creation phase yet sadly but I'm hoping to get it in the future)
Thanks so much! Planning can be tough, but with some inspiration and note organization tools like Notion or even just a booklet to keep things in check, it can be made easier. Best of luck with your game planning!
@@EthanoCreates yeah you're right man, I downloaded Notion last night and OMG it really made it easier, I've been able to sort out some of my games systems as well as the overall lore it's still a work in progress of course but hopefully when I'm able to gather the funds I'll be able to buy the hardware I need to start the creation phase
Those animations are smooth as hell! Looking good man!
Thanks so much man! I'm glad they're coming across well 🙏
