The editor (me) had a thing for jump cuts in this one, He has been sacked. I'll try to make the next one a little more fluid...

I should also add that I like that you are doing a video for each day of riding, that way we get a good idea of what ALL of the terrain is like, which is helpful for people that want to ride the IDBDR.
I’m probably doing the WABDR this summer.

Absolutely, that was something that seemed missing from alot of BDR content. The focused daily ride videos. This one was shorter because there just wasn't a whole lot to shoot and truth be told we made it a good way into section 7 by the end. I will probably end up doing a 7/8 combined video as well, but they are both short sections with fast easy riding so it's not too much to take in.
You will Love the WABDR, it's definitely more of a challenge on the whole, but also much shorter. I was through in 3 days. Sadly most of the third day (section 1+2, I did it North south right before heading to Idaho) footage was corrupted but I'm still going to get a little B-roll montage slapped together at some point.

"Pierce" Idaho . You passed several warming huts as we call them which are used mainly for winter time activities. There is a lot to do in Wallace and some good areas to camp. Did you go on to Murray after leaving Pritchard? Murray has the action and then great views from Thompson pass(just 15-20 minutes from Pritchard.) I'm from these woods, but live up by Sandpoint/Bonners Ferry now which has great riding. From Bonners Ferry just across the border into Montana are ghost towns and mining operations which I hope you saw. I live on the Pend Oreille which I'm sure you saw. We have a naval submarine base on this body of water. Thanks for the video!!!

I did see some of those huts, looked like a pretty cool place to snowmobile in the winter months. Unfortunately due to time constraints we didn't venture too far off the track at either Pritchard or Bonners Ferry. We did go up to Roman nose to camp on the final night which was amazing! I would have never guessed there was a submarine base there, must be defending against those dastardly Canadians 🤣
      Thanks for watching!

I should add that you are lucky to live in such a scenic part of a beautiful state! We'll be back I'm sure.

@@OverPenAdventures LOL Those Canadians do get out of hand from time to time!!!! The naval base or US Naval Surface Warfare Center is on the south side of the lake at Bayview and they do research with unmanned submarines. The lake is very deep and perfect for unmanned submarine training exercises. It's just kind of freaky when you're fishing and a submarine pops up next to you.

    Another awesome video!
I did a day trip from Wallace to the Blue Cabin and back last October on my DRZ. It was a great ride. Like you mentioned, The road on the north blue cabin is kind of rocky with lots of embedded rock. The next day I went north from
Wallace all the way to the paved road way up north. I wanted to get up to the fire lookout, but I was running low on gas for going any further, and keeping an eye time of day based on the fact it was October, and it was a bit chilly too.

I watched your blue cabin video! I wish I had filmed more of the cabin like you did.
Do you mean the Lunch Peak Lookout? Or is there another notable one?

Another great video. What time of year did you ride the IDBDR? Thinking about doing this trip later this year. Haven't settled on a date, any recomendation would be great.

We did it in mid August. It was a great time as there was no snow or trees down blocking the trails. That being said, it was very hot, especially the southern sections. I'd say mid July to mid September would be decent for ya! Enjoy the ride, it's a fun one.

Last summer was a heatwave for the record books all over the PNW.
