I think Clint's movie Grand Torino is the perfect example of the evolution of an istp. His final act is for the good of the tribe.

Such a fascinating analysis. I wish I could type people the way Dave does. Love his dedication to the science and the craft of his work. Also would love to see a video that explains more about the inner and outer worlds lining up as a way to alleviate chaos.

Past experiences. Also, your "inborn temperament"/core motivators/fears, Ennegram type, are/is formed from a core experience, your first 9 months in the womb. Then the next 4-5 years your "cognitive functions" form, and in the next 5-6 years (ages 4 or 5 - 10 or 11) your "character/personality traits" are formed, Big 5. These 3 put together make up the foundation of the psyche, or what we generally call "Personality". Cognitive Functions and there offshoots, animals, etc..., are a part of "Personality", and are a great place to start, because that's where we consciously start experiencing and developing a life of our own or a life more without chemicals from Mom's bloodstream.

@@shimkiomarth7200 Ni eyes are something to behold, surely. But I swear that there's something about high Ti as well. It's somehow less in the shape of the eyelids, which Ni gives a tired and somewhat skeptical appearance. It's more about a certain sharpness in the pupils brought about by their analytical gaze. It seems to cut right through you, in a sense. Or maybe I'm just crazy. Well, I am crazy.

Even with the interview footage sped up, he still takes a while to translate his thoughts into words. Words are symbolic- fundamentally Si, as opposed to archetypal (Ni). And Ti isn't as focused on clear communication as Te tends to be. Barack Obama, also an introvert in the Beta Quadra IMO, has very similar halting speech in casual conversation.

hey this isn’t about this video but i have a question, i know this might sound silly but i can’t tell if i’m an extj or if i’m an isfp. mainly because i can’t tell whether fi is a savior or a demon, i used to be very artistic and creative and i used to play guitar and loved music so much and whenever my dad asked me how to play a song i always explained to him “you just gotta feel it and understand it through your feelings and that’s all you need to do” and he would always tell me i’m wrong and he disagreed and i’d feel attacked bc that’s completely what worked for me and what made music music for me. maybe i’m an isfp who’s afraid of never being good enough and doesn’t trust in myself to make things look good since i was constantly bullied back in school and so whenever i’m afraid i immediately turn on my te because i know i’ll inevitably fail to make things look good or do things well (when i want things to be done well on my part i don’t care about success i care about whether or not it looks good and i was always bullied because i never made anything look good). could this go the same for extj though? can someone tell me their thoughts? i’m sorry i know this was all over the place
edit: holy shit i might be an esfp

    Question:
If you were to take Denzel Washington, Clint Eastwood, DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Ace Ventura, Keanu Reeves, Flula, T2 Robert Patrick, Starlord, a pinch of RDJ'S dance swag (& overall general personality) + a pinch of his Tony Stark inventiveness + sense of humour.... and...Cardi~B...
...Testube develope them all into one straight ghaybee, what PT would they be?

If you think two people of the same type are very different, I would first suggest you check the premise--in this case that Eastwood and Rourke are both ISTPs.

@Declan Coury bureaucracy is a peave for him and overcoming it is his hero function. It's why he became a director. Te is the weak function. Very much an attribute of conservatives. They think they know everything.

Both of them seem to be reacting to negative things in their life. I don't see any Ti super-intelligence or profound insight. BTW, I've been into OP for a few years now, and I'm supposed to be the same type as these guys, but I still don't see it. It makes me doubt the system. I think Daniel Craig is supposed to be the same type, and I can see a slight similarity in appearance between Clint and Daniel, but neither of them look like Mickey Rourke. Also, that bodybuilder Lee Priest is supposed to be the same type but he looks different to all three.

Most celebrity typing is fundamentally broken, so it's not surprising if you have a hard time relating. I assume people do it because it's easier to put together illustrative examples that way, but the trouble is, depictions of celebrities are snapshots of who they are that can easily be doctored, coached, scripted, etc. Similar circumstance as typing fictional characters in that way... maybe the celebrity as portrayed isn't a real person and it's part of the persona. You can't know for sure, so you might be typing a cluster of irreconcilable contradictions and not a real person.
The other problem is, celebrities for the most part are living completely different kinds of lives than the rest of us. Rich and famous and influential and all the weird behaviors that come with that, and most of us are poor or moderately financially ok nobodies who are lucky to influence someone in a comment section on the internet, if that.
