Nice one mate. My tip hot hands hand Warner’s only cost £1 per pack great at warming up your hands in gloves or in sleeping bag. I suffer with cold hands they are great ! Cheers Graham
Sleep pad is brilliant. Turns a crappy Chinese air pad into a winter capable item. I put mine on top of the pad rather than under as it is much warmer.
Someone once told me they took a frisbee. Used it for shovelling, as a plate, fire waffer, a seat when sitting on wet stuff and fun when your with others. Also been told them cheap blow up beach balls when half inflated make a good pillow.
A tip for refilling gas canisters, before filling put the small one in a fridge for half an hour and the big one is a pan of hot water, gas flows much quicker.
Thanks for the link for the gas refill, ive always been to worried just to pick one... That foil mat as cheap as it is, is one of the best things ive bought saved me 200+ on having to buy a warmer mat, its amazing the difference it makes and it just goes where id have a water bladder 🙂.... i watched you doing the Calderdale way ( think its that one) and om still cracking up at the ' Got any Gin' lol
GOT ANY GIN 🤣🤣 love it , yeah the gas refill is a great investment as you’l save a lot of money buying bigger gas cans. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 😊👍🏼
Your videos are getting better and better, sure most peeps watch hazy and why not he makes some great videos, but you are, in my opinion fast becoming a rival for him. Keep it up pal it's all good....peace out😮
I have known about them gas refills things for a few years now but never been clued up enough to order one until now so thanks for the explanation Liam. I just looked on Amazon using your link but there are 3 sets...which one do you use ???
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors All good Liam just back after a 2 nighter hiking from Greenfield to Edale....it's been a cold windy one...Cheers for that, i will order the same.
Great tips, thank you! The tip with the Gas ist really good. I've found that, especially in the warmer seasons, a fine mesh bag (the ones you wash delicates in) is a great way to stow your shoes in overnight. No ticks, snails or other crawling animals get in. Helped me a lot in the wooded areas. And definitely costs less than 10 pounds😅
That gas cosy is unnecessary gimmick. Gas can cools down whilst in operation and the cosy is preventing cold to f off. Good tips. I butane to fill cans for warmer months and use alcohol for winter.
That could be true but it looks cool 😅 thats all that matters eh, only joking, i’ve not delved into any alcohol stoves yet but I think next winter i’m gonna 👍🏼
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors even alcohol stoves can be hard to light in winter.i use a remote stove with a preheat tube they work great also some stoves allow you to turn the gas upside down so it becomes a liquid stove but be careful when turning the gas as it can flame up
@@craig3401 I use trangia with toiletpaper wick. Lights easy. Pure butane struggled last time I used with liquid feed at -10C. Don't have heart to buy more expensive mixed gas. I have 30L of denatured alcohol to burn. Should last me a while. Fb marketplace bargin 30L for 30€
