Good job Deputies! ❤
Thank you to the first responders for saving him. I was rescued by another truck driver on 05/30/24. Had he not got me out of my truck when he did I would have been trapped. Literally seconds after he helped me out my truck was engulfed in flames. Another semi hit me head on at 65 mph. That driver passed away. Please have patience when you’re driving because it can cost you your life. I always check every one of my tires EVERY single time I stop my truck. I pray that driver makes a complete recovery.
Glad you're still here, and I hope you have a speedy recovery!
@@RichCadwalader thank you
you can pre trip as much as you want it’s inevitable that a steer tire goes out
been driving 25 years, and I have not have a blowout, so still do your pretrip
15 years NEVER had steer blow.
never had a steer blowout BECAUSE i do a proper pre trip!
@@chrispauldupre I do pre and post trips every day, every night, every stop. I've had 5 steer tire blowouts. what am I supposed to be looking for that might indicate a blow out? To me it just seems impossible to prevent.
I rub my bare hand along the inside and outside of tire and along tread on top and bottom of tire to feel out irregularities
Special Thanks to those law enforcement officers helping him!!!!!!
DOT would show up asking for a log book 😂
No kidding...a friend of mine blew her steertire after there had been an electrical fire under her hood. She got the truck pulled over and it went up in flames. DOT seriously asked for her log book.
@@aqua6613 it's all about who they can f over. Right now I see so many foreigners diving and they don't pretrip at all. Shit dude in the video had so shoes 👟 on 😂😂
Thank you to the 2 brave police officers for saving this man !!!! 🥰✌️🇺🇲
You know the same people complaining about barefeet would complain if he was in sandals. If he was in boots then it would be about his race. If he was whote it would be about him not having enough experience. Some people can only be happy while disrespecting others.
Not really common sense on display goes a long way. Choose not to use it then you chose the heat🙄🙄🙄
@@Dilberts_Dogbert did you mean to reply to someone else because your comment doesn't make any sense for what I said. What do you mean by choosing heat?
OK race baiter aka libtwit Karen
PSA: they would not have been able to lift him out like that if he was fat. Please keep your weight down drivers.
Good thing the guy wasn't FAT.😂. BIG UPS to the heroic Sherriffs efforts to save the guy. 🚛
He’s probably only been in country for a year or so. Give him 10 more years
Tires blowout whenever they want 🤷♂️
truee
so you not going to do your pretrip?
@@MuthaTrucker at a lower rate, when doing pretrips, I have 160,000 miles on my tires and they still good
Steer blowouts are usually caused by under inflation.
@@DAViDD767brand matters. I've gone through 5 Bridgestone tires this last year. Averaging about 30k between them. Ridiculous.
I hit a piece of metal in the road a couple of weeks ago and blew a steer tire. I safely steered to the shoulder with no problem. It blew when I was running 75. Inexperienced Inexperienced
Yes that’s what happens with inexperience, if you had experienced you would have been able to avoid the metal
@@ak_getright9905😂
You were lucky stop trying to make yourself a super trucker
@ericpressley5138 not trying to make myself a super trucker. I was taught way before your time and been driving for almost 40 years. Idiots coming out of truck driving school wasn't taught nothing. 1 example is go to the truck stop and watch the fuel island. Need I say more?
@@christopherscroggins5013 you don't have to be so negative just because you been trucking for almost 40 years we living in different times adapt or move on old man
Thank you deputies for helping our brother Trucker out it's scary when your tire blows out
The other day in oregon at the fuel pumps i saw a super single tire with a big boob on the side of the tire and he was pulling maxi trailers ,i let the driver know before he was leaving the fuel pumps and got mad at me 😂
I’ve pointed out bad tires to other drivers as well and they do get mad that you say that to them especially another woman truck driver telling them that their tires are bad they get offended instead of saying thank you. So I have just stopped saying anything.
Dang. I always check my tires. I only got irritated once because a driver saw me start my pretrip and pointed out a leak on the other side. I didn't get there yet, but I'm usually appreciative of something I didn't notice.
@@truckingwithtobee don't stop telling them---- the life you save may be your own
Checking your steers is not always the answer. People think if it looks good, it is good, not true.
People think that just because the tire looks fine and the air pressure is good that all is good. This is not the case.
Steer tires are always at close to max weight, unlike all other tires.
You need to know the miles on the tire. Even if it looks to have lots of tread, it can still be worn out. If your pushing 200k miles, you have pretty much worn out the steel belts, and sidewalls, with too many heat cycles in the mechanics of the tire, its time to change them, or you could be in the same situation.
He’s foreigner, he didn’t pre-trip. I RARELY ever see foreigners pre tripping.
Most driver get up and just drive away with out even a walk around or even a pull test
You the foreigner police … who watches to see if another man pre trips .. you guys sound like kids lol
@johningram3795 well if the guy driving the truck ends up killing a family of 4 because of something goes wrong mechanically then how will you feel then
@johningram3795 you sound like a libtwit
@@TruknupI mean… it’s hard to ignore when somebody been parked in front of you all day and then they just fire s*** up and start rollin 💀. But I digress, bc you obviously dgaf.
These foreigners usually end up working in cheap low key sketchy companies with piss poor maintenance budget. I’ll blame it on the company 100%. Maybe 10% drivers fault if it’s too hot in mission but from what I’ve seen it’s the low $ maintenance budget/cheap mechanics.
And flip flops on because he didn’t even have on boots or shoes
It’s ALWAYS THE DRIVERS FAULT. The company has zero fault here. If the truck is unsafe REFUSE TO DRIVE IT!!!! It’s literally that simple. I’m not going to speculate how that tire blew. Could be a bad tire, he could have hit debris in the road. The fact that he was barefoot says a lot about this driver. He barely even spoke English.
@devotime1 you can drive a truck with whatever you feel comfortable in. Being naked included
He's not a foreigner, he's an inmate for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. That's a southern drawl your dumbass is hearing.
@@devotime1he left his old brogans on the floorboard. He's an inmate hauling empty agriculture boxes back to the farm.
Thank you to the officers that saved his life he deserves to be acknowledged for his actions and service we really appreciate him
Is not pre trip its not knowing what to look for. You can go around your truck but not knowing what to look for… lack of knowledge
buddy I've had a Brand new 550$ Hancock tire blow out with 2k miles on it.
Tire blow out aside, why is driver barefoot? Flip flops perhaps? Dress appropriately for the job drivers. Kudos to the law enforcement
Sitting on my a$$ for 11hrs requires shoes. I'll be sure to remember that 😂
I kick my boots off and drive sock footed all the time.
You want ingrown nails , smelly ass feet?
45 years in a truck with boots on. What's wrong with all these pansys today. Grow up and do your job and where proper attire
@navado75 you will remember when something happens and you are in a situation you need to get out of fast. The boots or shoes will come in handy
If the FMCSA does not target the companies allowing unqualified drivers to get behind the wheel of semi-trucks, there will be no improvement in safety.
How did you found out he was unqualified. A front steer tire will put any experienced truck driver in the ditch
@@eugeniujosanu279you are interested in details or the fact there is a lot of unqualified drivers who simply can speak English.
@@ATI253 I do not overreacted you probably need to read what I wrote not what you want to read. Read statistics, 87-90% of accidents and incidents where semi-truck involved. This can include errors such as driver fatigue, distraction, improper maintenance, speeding, and other forms of negligence. That's what I called unqualified driver. Numbers says everything.
@@dISmAG13 was not even referring to you.
I’m not disrespecting anyone but we used to have DOT regulations that said that you had to have closed toed, hard sole shoes or boots while operating a commercial vehicle, but that’s probably another one that had to be eliminated to make it possible for companies to put warm bodies in trucks. You know to get rid of this horrible driver shortage they drummed up
Thanks to these good officers..we still have good law officers..
What the hell do shoes have to do with anything? He could have ran over something.
Because it adds to the difficulty of Emergency extraction but you do you just remember it's your choice. Toes are optional😎😎😎
Much respect for all law enforcement ❤
You wear a seat belt incase you wreck you wear boots incase you have to exit. You keep a fire extinguisher incase there is a fire. You plan and prepare for your trip for if things go well and for if things go wrong. It's part of being a professional.
Don't tell Schmidt about that seat belt wearing.
Also keep your feet off the Dash and be ready for anything. I've had three steer Tire blowouts 1 almost caused me to roll over but all three was actually anti-climatic because I was ready for anything to happen so it wasn't that ba. As far as pre trips go . Do a pre-trip and every time you stop do a during trip
Thanks to the first responders for help save someone life.God bless you🙏 .
In the last week i had a tire come off the bead of one of my tandem wheels in Matthews, MO, and then in Flagstaff, AZ (oddly enough), another tandem tire blew out at love's backing into a spot. It was one hell of a week.
This is why i wear my own uniform and wear wirk boots i dont drive no truck in slippers and basketball shorts because you can be stuck in the middle if nowhere without shoes 😂😅
Thanks to the rescue team 🙌🏾 🙏🏾 👏🏾
That's the new generation of truck drivers
Good , better than the racist that would drag blacks
Tires are like woman you never know what to expect,i got 8 XDN2 michelin tires on my drives one month later one blow out after spending over 6k on those tires and checking my tires everyday
wow
that tire is a defect
I'm a woman expect the unexpected be NICE you men have to sleep sometime and women get revenge when ur sleeping, ask MR BOBBIT

Thanks for the deputies and their great actions to save that divers life
Sorry most truckers are so nosey about other truckers and snitches
Kids with a foot fetish
I only snitch on foreigners
@@tyrone_shoelace_saysliar , once a snitch always a snitch. Research shows you probably come from a long line of snitchers

I can’t understand that no respect for the road
Nothing like bare foot on the pillar for all to see how professional you are at 70mph 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
As a car driver after 40 years of driving 3 things I always do, 1 seat belts 2 good tires 3, good brakes. I have gotten lucky over the years because I drive from Kentucky to California over the years and have been blessed to not have any major accidents 🙏🏽💙💙
It would be nice if they could give us a follow up on these incidents so we know what they found. Defective tire, low/high pressure, road conditions, no tread, etc. something to let us drivers know if it was driver error or something specific we need to look for. Keep up the good info sir, thank you
Pretrip and post trips are very important and wearing the proper shoes, not flip flops
I installed TPMS on my steers. (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). Life savers. $120.00
What happened to his flip flops!???
Why do care … you have a thing for driver feet.. 😂
They sheet the cab🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shoes probably stuck under dash..he alive that is all that matters..period.
Flip flops under the dash😂
Tires can blow at anytime especially now days everything is just cheap crap. Shoes yall never heard of barefoot driving? Now I wear socks and boots but I often drive barefoot kinda like driving by the seat of your pants but guess yall never heard of that either!
Just don't count on a quick exit in an Emergency, diesel never explodes so you're good
Toes are optional 😎😎👍
Tree's Don't Move.😮
boy lost his flip flops
Holy cow I was thinking the same thing
All drivers can donate flip flop 4 the poor guy .. lol
Not Funny Driver
Upset?? Here and there i drive barefoot. What does that have to do with a steer tire
Nothing but when you need to exit in the woods from the ramp you just made, might be helpful unless EMS uses the basket 😎😎🙄🙄
They carried him like a baby 😂
How else do you carry someone with their back messed up?
They shouldn't have carried him like baby. That is humiliating and bad for ego. I would ask video taken off news site.
Real truckers don't wear flip flops!
too much bs... i see it all day long state to state jumping out of 379s all day.
Yes, I give much respected the Deputy sheriff saving Truck Driver life
I have been otr 30 yrs.i always thought there was a law that requires a drivwr to wear closed shoes or shoes with heels.i ofter see flip flop mob getting DOTd and they are wearing flip flops.i bet NO TICKETS
… why would you even care ….grow up bro …
I drive 3000 miles a week, i drive barefoot 100% of the time🤷🏼♀️ There’s literally not one reason why you would need shoes on to drive🙄
Oh, and I wear flip flops too🤣
OTR for 30 years and still don’t know there is no law against driving barefoot. I’ve only been out here 3 years and I know that. What else don’t you know, sounds like you may need a refresher.
You all must drive the lower states you need proper footwear where its cold when it gets minus -40 you will get frostbite barefoot even with heat on while driving in northern states
I don't drive trucks, only cars, but I only wear proper shoes or sneakers when driving. While I understand why CDL drivers in particular wear 'Flip flops', sandals or no shoes when driving for comfort and the heat in the pedal box, when something bad happens you need to apply the brakes hard, not have your feet slip off the clutch and/or brake pedals, so can keep control.
Thank you to the sheriff's
Mine your own business, it’s his feet, not yours.
Good job deputies. Another day in law enforcement. 👍👍
I've blown 3 steer tires in my career, 1 in 1982 on a non power steering truck, all loaded and the key is steer and break hard because you have a beast trying to rip the steering wheel out of your hands. No power steering you had to turn the steering wheel a round 2 or 3 times quick while you were doing 70ty miles an hour. Yep the speed limit was 55 back then
They were handing him off like a baby's car seat 💺 😂😂😂
No to piss everyone off. I wore flip flops 90 percent of the time.
If you cut an exit ramp like this be sure to let us know how it worked out for ya!!!🙄🙄🙄🙄
Thank you for your hard work!
He was wearing his flip-flops while driving. That's why he got no shoes on
I own and operate a 94 379 with a reefer wagon, and yes, every i get out of the truck i put my cowboy boots on, but I will not wear them inside my truck! In this case, shoes had nothing to do with the crash. It could a whole bunch of things, starting with debris on the road to driver negligence. Awesome job officers!
Nothing to do with the accident But a lot to do with exiting in the woods ever hike without footwear? You' ll get the flipin points🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm a trucker and I saw this accident after leaving a customer! WOW! always wear proper footwear!
His grip flops flew off huh?
Shout out to the deputy that carried that dude off like the princess in a Disney movie 😂
OMG we went from flip flops to barefoot!!!
He was driving in Mississippi man he was lucky the road didn’t rip all his axles off his truck 😂😂
Thank you for your service
This is why trucking is a shit show now!
I am in Reno, Nevada. I currently have 105F air temp. That means pavement is at least 155F. That will blow any tire. If you don't have a $30 IR thermometer, you just might want to pick one up and check tire temp and bearing temp every time you have to stop to pee.
Read out why he got no shoes on.He's wearing flip flops again
Thank you Sheriff Deputy's
That crash knocked his shoes right off.
Maybe if he was wearing proper shoes he could’ve walked out
Only natural citizens should be allowed to get CDL
Thank You MuthaTrucker!
This is why i drive with both hands on the wheel. I had a steer blow while passing in the left lane. It took all my strength to keep the truck in my lane as it pulled hard to the right. If i would have only had one hand on the steering wheel, that extra second would have caused me to veer back into the car i was passing. I was very lucky that day. My steers had less then 10k miles on them. It just happened to be a bad tire.
Blame on potholes roads, eld and etc. I see drivers always blame on other drivers, and that's why
truck drivers never unite .
Lack of experience
Thank God for the deputies saving him from danger! And headline you put about shoes! First... I get up every morning and wash face..brush teeth.. brush hair get all beautified...lol put boots or snickers on but after 3-5-7 hours of driving my feet hurt or get.hot and i put my sandles on! And for people more worried about his feet than his life is whats wrong with the world today! And all you drivers know what im talking about! Wear shoes or dont! I dont care! What i care about is drivers being able to drive a truck safely! Thats what you all need to be worried about other that his freakin shoes! And then we go to pretrip, he had a steer tire blow... this scares the bejesus out of me.. i do my pretrip daily and not one of you know nothing about this driver! He might like me did his pretrip and just a accident! It happens! We dont know nothing! But we are worried about freakin shoes? Really? I bet if he had shoes on and steer tire blew he would have never destoyed his truck right!??? How stupid does that sound!??? Yes, always do a pretrip but i pray this never happens to any of us! I had a friend driving a new truck with new tires and had a steer tire blow! It happens! Discusting how people judge without know anything and all you people need to be careful! It could happen to you! I pray it does not and hope this drivers back is ok! Prayers!
i hate to say it but prolly had his feet propped up and feel asleep at the wheel. i’ve seen it too many times. Also pre trip and post trip doesn’t exist in trucking anymore……especially the rookies they just don’t do it.
The old grey haired men and a few women are all I see pretripping unless they are flatbed. I get the strangest looks EVERY TIME I open the hood.
truckers worst nightmare
I can think of worse…the left side for one
I will pray for the trucker and his family that he will recover if he has injuries be safe all you truckers I will pray for all truckers on the road for their safety so you all can go home to your family and love ones
Pre trip don't always show tire problem have blown two and they showed no signs of failure before they blew
With all that…his shoes might have been trapped so he could have got out of them to get himself out the truck….people see stuff and assume everything
With odds like that he would a lotto first🤣👿🤣🤣
"DRIVER SAID", LMAO.
God bless them, tires as much as you check them are so unpredictable
Need to find the owner of these companies $10000 per day until they hire Americans with shoes!
99% they didn't check tires...and I don't mean kicking tires. That's pointless
Probably had his feet on the dash
This why you always hold on to the steering wheel, have had 2 steer tires blow out on me and neither time did it yank off the road like this.
You never know when a tire is going to blow. Even it if seems ok
Im a retired truck driver . Trucker's not doing pre trips is common . Not once in truck stops did i see another trucker doing pre trips . Even my trainer for five weeks would wake up , jump out , take a piss and hit the road , he would do stupid shit like driving and playing pokemon on his laptop. Every rule and policy place on these guys they just cant wait to break . More incentive fir trucking companies to go self driving trucks and ai .
Can never tell when a steer blows could have been something on the road ,to many pick up trucks with items that bounce out of them and cause blowout steers and drives
Its getting hot so the temps are definitely against us so make sure yall pour water on them tires
Ive blown a steer at 75mph kept it upright and made it safely to shoulder.
People blow steers and dont end up off the road all of the time.
This is 100% driver fault for not being properly trained
Didnt see a blown tire that eveyone is talking about and driveing a tractor trailer there needs to be a law for socks and shoes at least! Yes ty for deputies they have job to do!
Cautionary tale about the flip flop/wife beater tshirt crowd.
Noone talking about how they are there to save him from a burning truck but he is being uncooperative. Odd.
For everyone bad cop, you have 1000 like these guys
Experienced drivers: please advise on the best way to handle a steer tire blow out. Sometimes they cross the median, other times its into the woods. But, sometimes, drivers get to the shoulder safely. Is this because the tire blew out differently? Or because the driver (and tell us how) was able to maintain control of the vehicle?
Thanks
Don’t hit the breaks or jerk the wheel…pedal to the metal
It is easy..... drive with both hands on the wheel al all times, drive alert, always expect the unexpected, be aware of your surroundings at all times, know how to counter steer, don't be texting, keep both fking feet on the floor not on the dashboard. We are not sitting in the recliner in our living room, we're in a 15 to 40 ton death trap doin a specific job to the BEST of our ability, live up to it or die.
Mainly.... ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED and have an out. These are the basic driving rules for safe driving.
I was told don't jerk the wheel, hold it straight and hope you end up on the shoulder so I'm no help to this conversation.
Steer tires just go like that. 42 years. Few slow blows. No catastrophic. You run over a poker and next thing is flat.
I don't see the big deal about the shoes. Last time i heard it wasn't law just suggested. He's lucky he had such a response.
