Seen you do that on a gas cap for a Corvette I think, thanks and that is exactly the kind of content we look for. Thanks and please bring more of this quality work.
All the 3D cad and technology in the world and Foose is still using clay. You have to respect that. A true craftsman does not need a lot of fancy gadgets, to build build a spectacular piece of entire car
I had a Meyers Manx in college Green with gold metal flacks. A company had a kit that was a cage for a Corvair with 2 speed Powerglide. I added rear airplane tires for the dirt, what fun!
3D CAD is great for large projects or running multiples of something. But it takes so much programming to do a small one off piece that it isn’t time effective or cost effective. Doing it the old school way is much more efficient….and fun🙂 Nice solution Chip👍 And nice design 👍
Chip's wealth of old school cool methodology and methods for actual design is immense. One moment he's drawing, the next he's carving wood, then he leans into a block of clay and by the time lunch comes, he's sneezed six shapes computers can't do unless they cost more than the entire project. For shame that car manufacturer CEOs (much like other CEOs) are affixed to a single goal, make money, because if they actually cared about the car companies they lead, all their design teams would know all these things as well, if not as good, at least on paper. Considering how cars are coming out now coughbmwcough ... one can't argue they know even what a pencil is, let alone a design line or the mere concept of theme integration.
Chip you have more talent in your finger tip than l have in my whole body . And l count myself as a pretty talented restorer with 53 years experience .....
Its so weird I watched chip as a kid and looked up to him so much I grew up to do this same thing as a profession abit more sheet metal oriented though its just so weird that I can still watch him work his magic to this day
Wow, this puppy's gonna be killer, given that it already is! Unreal detail work on the gas cap surround; who else would do this?! Thanks, guys, for the update! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
seria ótimo UA-cam colocar tradutor pra gente ficar por dentro de tudo mais vendo eu entendo oque está sendo feito . mais se o UA-cam colocasse tradutor ficaria sensacional !
The extra details make every build a work of art!! 👍🏻👊🏻

I still see clay being used a lot at places around the motor city. You can make adjustments quick and spot flaws in digital renderings.
Classic Chip Foose. Made it (re made it) the way it should’ve been done the first time. Subtle. Beautiful!

Just amazing 😊
MASTER WORK!
What keeps water (rain or wash) from back filling the fiber glass "dish" and around the fuel cap? Won't this be a concern?
This was my first thought. Looks good though.
Paying attention to detail! 🙂

The little details set you apart.
Hot rodding at its finest!
Nothing by accident = great design 😎
👍
Looks good Chip. Is there a drain for water or spilled gas?
Creativity with execution of vision = FOOSE
Chip is always turning it up to 11, these are going to be Epic (Empi) buggies.
Baddass man baddass

Mo better fo sho! Excellent!
🍻👍
How does that work when you open the hood? Does it lift the tail piece out of the filler tube?
A Meyers Manx has a 2 piece design , the body or tub and the hood is then permanently fixed when the body is reassembled.
@@MrStacy1974 that's weird
@@RichSobocinski it is a "kit car" it wasn't designed to be practical it was designed to be a toy.
@MrStacy1974 I'm used to chip's designs to be beautiful and practical
What about draining
Yes, what about draining. I'd like to know.
Do you sell a kit for this application thks
As one does
Looks good except you installed it backward...
