When you see a squall usually there is a way to avoid it, but there was no avoiding this monstrosity. See how we manage when we get hit with 30-40 knot gusts without a working engine. After a night full of turbulence we finally see land in site!!

Awesome trip of sailing, fishing, diving a 100 ft + getting down and dirty with a old marine diesel gets me every time

I know nothing about sailing, I love the ocean and I’m an avid scuba diver, you two have all but convinced me to adjust my lifestyle to move from overlanding in a Jeep to joining the ranks of my true love of the ocean!! Y’all are awesome!!!

No clue why Nathalie's comment of "and the sun's rising" made me emotional. I suppose it reflects several things, one being a metaphor for optimism (no matter how dark it may seem, if you push through, you will always reach the light), another being grateful for getting though a difficult night.... or perhaps it was just Nathalie observing the obvious and commenting on it with no deeper meaning intended. :) Regardless, I will present it as a metaphor for these two sisters. "and the sun's rising" is symbolic of their zest for life. Their "can do" attitude. Very impressive for two young women. A testament to their parents, who I would expect are very proud of who their daughters have become. Now if we can just fix those damn engines (outboards included). :)

It was a great show the entire trip in good and sometimes bad times but I enjoy your shows the thunderstorm was the ocean saying good bye to you and the mosquitoes welcoming you back to the main land :-} thank you

Was an amazing adventure. " O " ring kit and gasket paper for your next adventure. Learn how to make gaskets so if you need to and r.t.v. Seabees always have those. Can't wait for you guys next sailing trip.

Hey, great video, ladies... What a trip... While your boat is laid up for repairs and stuff and you are saving up your cruising kitty you two might consider taking a diesel maintenance and repair class (if there is one in your area).. It's a great skill to have when you're all alone and Diesel Don isn't around to help... If nothing else, invest in a few diesel maintenance and repair books. There is one by Nigel Calder and another by Peter Compton. They're both part of a 10-11 book collection called The International Marine Sailboat Library.. The library covers Diesel Engines, Fiber glassing, Electrical, Refinishing, Canvas work, Woodworking, Boat Improvements, Inspecting your boat and more They're small hardbacks that are pretty easy to find.. Half Price Books, Amazon, Discovery Books (online), Etc.. Bravo Zulu on completing your trip.. Looking forward to next Episode.

I spent a lot of time over at Goodland hanging at “ Stan’s”, and also at Snook Inn on Marco. My sailboat was actually over on east coast near Hillsboro inlet.

Get yourselves heavy duty working gloves for the chain and get your radar up to date for that is your safe haven on a passage, that's the second time a knife got your leg.

The big problem is the old diesel. Parts readily availibility is the problem and if you replace it with a current model, your adventures will will be focused in what you're doing, instead of always wondering when the next break down of power will come.
I'm a mechanic by trade for the first part of my life. I'm 60 now and hope to see you guys floating in Flodida waters within 5 years from now.....
because of the wind and other noises i had to turn on my closed captioning to see what you are saying and talking bout ,i am hard hearing and i use headphones too and its sort of hard to hear what you ladys are talking about i love your youtube channel i love traveling along with you and seeing where you are from and where you are going ,i hope that you have an instagram and facebook "meta" i want to know what you are doing and see what areas you are going and where you are from and hope and pray that you are doing ok and if you need food or any suplies i know what to do and can get suplies to you somehow go d has a way to help too ,the rest of your life will be the best of your life and the best of you life will be the best of your life ,take when going thru the squalls and othe weather problems and keep up the great work on the video ,
