Shivansh Kanojia I’m a huge LP fan, but unfortunately, I do agree. And I’m sorry, no Kiiara. The “One More Light Live” version is actually a lot better. All Chester, everyone in the band playing... it’s much nicer.
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not I don't know if i'd consider that concept record, though it is lyrically great The Black Parade - MCR American Idiot - Green Day OK Computer - Radiohead These seem like 3 that might make that list
Yeah, I thought the same with Codplay, it was a little wierd the lyrics for a band like them and a song with that name. The thing is that is so damn catchy... in those cases you just need to let it go and enjoy the song, like lot of hip-hop songs but this one with great music.
Jon, "I love it" at number one was too easy. We all know the lyrics are bad. Also, I think this list proves that bands should stay away from talking about vaginas. I don't even think bob Dylan could write good lyrics about that.
Simple Plan, Five Finger Death Punch, And Nickleback would dominate this list for me. There’s also some rap song I heard once at a school dance where the hook was literally “call me SpongeBob, I’m flipping Krabby Patties.” The beat was nice but the lyrics were awful
Anyone else notice that Adam Levine's voice sounds almost completely different from Maroon 5's earlier songs until now with Adam kind of doing his own thing?
Here's an idea: FFDP can do their thing BUT their producer needs to be Adam D and their lyricist needs to be Jesse Leach. Then and only then ffdp will be worth a damn.
The song lucid dreams has the wrong idea of what lucid dreams actually are. It's not sleep paralysis as juice describes it seemingly, but rather a vid is life like dream where you feel like it's the real world and almost a new reality.

Yeah the thing I want to hear about when in a good mood is about dead teenagers, of course -_-
My personal attitude towards The Chainsmokers' album Memories: Do Not Open fits this category. I think the music is okay, but the lyrics are another story! Great list, BTW!!
7 songs where everything fits perfectly, the lyrics, the instrumentals, vocals and the overall mood I'd suggest "bell black ocean" by mark lanegan, around 3 minutes of pure perfection, imma warn u its a sad song, but hauntingly beautiful and that solo.... Oh god....
When I saw "Covered In Chrome", I was surprised. But when I heard the lyrics, I could see why. Violet Soho is more of a grunge leaning band, to be honest. Nice to see you like the music. It goes hard and heavy.
I thought hymn for the weekend lyrics were okay but nothing amazing. But I fucking agree that I’m feeling drunk and high just sounds like you said phoned in. Great list 10/10 would list again
Heavydirtysoul is a good example. I just sorts disagree with a lot of the things that are said in that track. There is some hip hop influence at least, if even, in the track yet Tyler literally tells you this is not rap, this is not hip hop. Joseph Mullenberg animals. The track slaps but the subject matter is too spooky. If the song was made during spooktober, understandable have a great day.
I would say dna by bts the translated lyrics honestly makes what makes you beautiful sound like a well written masterpiece and it's not that I hate bts but the lyrics to dna are hideous in a way like you're so beautiful we were meant to be together and it just goes into creepy territory when it goes into the notion of its fate and science that you're stuck with me which is the most cheesiest pick-up line on every single 80s nerd movie that would normally get that protagonist smacked in the face but I guess if you're an international superstar it's supposed to get the panties wet? I don't know I can be overthinking the whole thing however the beat to it is honestly quite catchy
Would've put Mic Drop, i mean Did you see my bag?, Really?, I like BTS a lot, i think they're pretty fucking good, but my god, the lyrics for Mic Drop was horrible. Production was great though
Mic drop is a guilty pleasure of mine I would not give that song too much hate because it's just a diss track nothing else every diss track to me sounds the same no matter how stupid the lyrics are even in a different language I've heard Kpop diss tracks with crappy lyrics before because my friends listen to it and sometimes I have to look at the english translation just to see what the lyrics are
Diss tracks can be really good, Ether by Nas and Mr Me Too by Clipse were fucking awesome. I wouldn't even call Mic Drop a diss track, it's pretty much another "Fuck the haters'" song, a weak one at that too.
@@khalis6973 true but when I asked one of my friends about that song she told me it was supposed to be the last cypher track which is the rap lines diss track to the haters song except they decide to write this whole song with all of them

Lots and lots of Bullet for my Valentine songs have terrible lyrics. They've written some great songs, but Matt Tuck writes lyrics like he's 16, despite being almost 40.
Mine is Pure Morning by Placebo. Fantastic instrumental but wow the lyrics are questionable. A friend in need's a friend indeed, A friend with weed is better, A friend with breast and all the rest, A friend who's dressed in leather,
My thoughts of the number six pick is kinda different. I like the chorus. In a verse he says "Life is a drink and love is a drug". Then he says, "...I'm feeling drunk and high" in the chorus. I get it if it's cheesy, but 'horrible' seems a bit hard to somebody talking about how they feel alive and in love. But I totally see how you'd disagree.
Being a follower of EDM, I don't find many tracks fit this criteria. I can still think of a few: - Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat by Fatboy Slim and Riva Starr feat. Beadyman. For all it's iconic status, Beardy's rambling is very baffling. "Then this cat walked in, not like a feline cat ... but know what sayin' dog, like cats and dogs, like rainin'." NO I DON'T! What are you talking about!? There needs to be an instrumental of this. - Anaconda by Nicki Minaj. Never has she been more annoying than on this Sir Mix-a-Lot re-cut. I would prefer to cut out "Fuck those skinny bitches in the club," thank you very much!
Story of the Year. I still have almost all of their lyrics burned into my memories but it's had to keep a straight face at them sometimes. "The stars will cry the blackest tears tonight" might be the most emo line I've ever heard.
...... I feel like you’re missing the point in Survival. Its not supposed to be an inspirational song. I think it’s a song that mocks this idea of “I’m gonna win no matter what” and crushing other people just to get what you want, demonstrating that this is something very ingrained in today’s overly competitive society.
My list (there are a lot of songs like this, so I'm only including songs with lyrics bad enough to ruin the song): 7: The Braceface theme 6: It Ends Tonight - The All-American Rejects 5: Trumpets - Jason Derulo 4: Don't Trust Me - 3OH!3 3: Crack A Bottle - Eminem 2: Pretty much anything by 5 Seconds Of Summer 1: Flex (Ooh Ooh Ooh) - Rich Homie Quan
#WorstLyrics Got some suggestions for a future video. "Shake It Off"- Taylor Swift "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark"- Fall Out Boy "Closer"- The Chainsmokers "Yeah"- Usher, Lil John, Ludicrous "Last Friday Night"- Katy Perry Just five that just popped in my head.

The lyrics aren’t bad, but they’re incredibly dark.
I find it with a big part of Coldplay's work. It's one of my favorite bands in terms of music, but a lot of lyrics are just very simplistic (when not extremely generic, uncreative and that seems without inspiration) love declarations or "life is wonderful, so dance and always smile" stuff. That's why the album Viva la Vida is a highlight for me in their discography; it is more conceptual and most lyrics are pretty imaginative compared to a lot of lyrics in other albums.
One song that I like but for me has horrible lyrics is Pigskin by Hollywood Undead. To me that song just sounds like something that would be played at a high school dance if there weren't restrictions based on lyrics and it just makes me kinda nostalgic because of that.
Bringing it old skool, Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely by Backstreet Boys: “Life goes on as it never ends Eyes of stone observe the trends They never say forever gaze upon me Guilty roads to an endless love (endless love) There's no control Are you with me now? Your every wish will be done They tell me Show me the meaning of being lonely” Wut.
THANK YOU for calling out Hymn for the Weekend. It has kind of an interesting sound, but the lyrics are just absolutely atrocious. I honestly find it hard to listen to that song because of the lyrics. They just stick out so much and are a fall from grace, lyrically, for Coldplay.
I would put Gotye's 'Someone that I used to know' on that list. I liked the beat and flow of the song, but the more I heard and thought about the lyrics, the more the songs creeps me out and makes me want to slap him. A generation earlier, a similarly themed song called 'Don't you want me' which equally creepy and awkward. But I give the slight nod to Goyte he sounds creepy AND whiney at the same time.
It's not like all the lyrics to this song are bad, but I always think of "Shut It Down" by Drake featuring The-Dream. One of my favorite Drake songs, but let's not forget that Drake says, "baby, you finer than your fine cousin, and your cousin fine." The one-way ticket to getting a slap-in-the-face from a girl.
Most of Rammstein songs. I listened to them loving the guitars, the rhythm and atmosphere...then I started to study German and I was shocked 😱. Still love Rammstein tho
Drake - Summer Games The Chainsmokers - Break Up Every Night Weezer - I'm Your Daddy Katy Perry ft. Migos - Bon appétit XXXTENTACION - SAD! MoStack - What I Wanna Lil Wayne ft. Drake & Future - Love Me

Lyrics in my opinion are the most important part of quality of music, it's the difference between Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park, and that's pretty big.
I think Psycho by Muse would probably fit here
Initially I thought that too, but I think that Psycho in general is weird. It doesn't have the amazing Muse tune like a lot of songs by them do.

The first I Love It that I think of is by Sneaky Sound System. The lyrics on that one are pretty good!

It’s just age probably, Matt Bellamy sounds RADICALLY different from the first three Muse albums as well
Closer and Shape of you
Shape of You has pretty shitty music as well but it's true the lyrics are the worst thing about it

The #1 choice was so accurate I actually squealed a bit
It's not like all the lyrics to this song are bad, but I always think of "Shut It Down" by Drake featuring The-Dream.
One of my favorite Drake songs, but let's not forget that Drake says, "baby, you finer than your fine cousin, and your cousin fine." The one-way ticket to getting a slap-in-the-face from a girl.
"Hoodie" by Hey Violet.
not a good song tho
@@tijanaself897 It has terrible lyrics. If we altered them, it would be good.

Gold Jacket, Green Jacket by Senses Fail is kinda cringey but it's such a jam
Most of Rammstein songs. I listened to them loving the guitars, the rhythm and atmosphere...then I started to study German and I was shocked 😱. Still love Rammstein tho
I agree with under and over it but the chorus is good ... The rest sucks
Drake - Summer Games
The Chainsmokers - Break Up Every Night
Weezer - I'm Your Daddy
Katy Perry ft. Migos - Bon appétit
XXXTENTACION - SAD!
MoStack - What I Wanna
Lil Wayne ft. Drake & Future - Love Me
A few Drake songs could be on there
Certain lyrics on kanye's Runaway also apply to this.
