Something I noticed in the trailer is that the piglins appear to be in organized war mode. Not unlike how they were in Legends. Which tells me A Minecraft Movie happens after Legends, but before Minecraft Proper.
I imagine the main reason people are receiving this trailer a lot better than the first is because 1. People have accepted that this is going to be live action and 2. The mobs shown in this trailer don't look that bad compared to what we see in the first trailer (looking at you pink sheep). Also because.... 0:02 .... hey reference
It's still going to be this strange mixture of animation and live action with a vaguely cringe kids' plot, and what we know about the movie and what we can infer from the announcements haven't changed. Due to this, I don't know why people who didn't like the concept are suddenly looking forward to this film. Any ideas?
Its probably people was in shock with first trailer. Now that it’s been 2 months since that trailer, people are beginning to accept the movie for what it is, no matter we agree with its direction or not. Adding more references to the game itself also really helped which was not in the first trailer.

Everyone's complaining about jack black being Steve. Here's my take. This is one of the rare times we DO NOT WANT a spot on cast. Think about it, thor is not permanently associated with Chris Hemsworth, captain America with Chris Evans. Do we want Steve to be permanently associated with a Hollywood actor?
And Chris Pratt playing the main character in like five Hollywood Major franchises in the past ten or so years like Marvel, Lego, Jurassic World, Mario and Garfield.
@snookerdooker471 right. Steve is supposed to represent literally all of us, I would prefer he be played in such a way that I see myself when playing, not a Chris.

I am curious why you excluded Legoland Windsor from your thinking? For a linear marketing plan surely making it a Legoland attraction in both the US and UK makes sense especially given the Lego Minecraft sets that can be sold alongside the Attraction. Chessington World Of Adventures already has a Safari themed hotel run by Holiday Inn, Whilst Legoland Windsor has a rather obviously themed Lego Hotel. Although having said all that Alton Tower with it's Wonka and Cbeebies themed rides might be a good bet especially with the Splash Landings Hotel being a good base for a Minecraft themed hotel.
Nah it’s going to be chessington, they already filed permission for a brand new land which has suspiciously blocky buildings and a coaster which would make sense to be heavily themed since it’s mostly inside.
Hello IBX. The two themeparks getting the area are Chessington World of Adventure to replace their Wild Asia area and Legoland Florida, likely as a separate gate attraction.
I can't be the only one who thinks the glowy blue cube looks remarkably like the Tesseract of Marvel fame, can I? And the Tesseract contains the Space Infinity Stone, which grants its wielder the power to teleport anywhere they wish. Coincidence? I'm thinking not. Maybe the Minecraft Movie is a retelling of the Avengers, with Jack Black's Steve serving as Nick Fury. Nah, that's dumb.
My guess for the Minecraft-themed land/ride would be one of the Legoland parks either in California, Florida, or New York. All three are owned by Merlin Entertainment, have roller coasters and other attractions, and Lego has a close tie with Minecraft with their Lego Minecraft sets that people would make the relatively easy association of one with the other.
A Minecraft Movie Official Trailer: * releases * The internet: Wait, A Minecraft Movie is good now? The Teaser Trailer: Always has been The internet: :O * surprised pikachu *
Steve should first appear in front of them with an MLG water clutch. We should also some 2x2 tunnels with redstone torches and suspicious looking pickaxes in them and occasional lightning strikes in the background....
Why did you turn on audio description? Don't get me wrong, it's great that they have this option for the trailer but why did you decide to use this version for your video?
A minecraft theme park is incredibly bold, I hope it works out for them. Minecraft has become such a gaming icon since its original inception, it’s amazing to see how big it’s become
If they would have just shown Steve and explained this story first as him being a lost kid. And then introduced the new kid as a modder who's changing the game for better or worst it wouldn't be getting such back lash. It is a really good premise of a story lets face it folks.I'm 30 I remember when this came out. It isn't my game anymore its his game. Its my sons game. A story of an adult handing down their imagination and creations to the future generations and allowing time to modify upon it and make it grow into something new is genuinely an amazing send off for this movie. And then you have the hyper realistic creatures look the way they do because your imagination would add these details especially if your a creative type. No one here imagines a creeper as it is In game. Having all this be one giant meta on what minectaft is is genius. When you enter that world you become the King, the hero, the god, and s crafter. You can think about shaping a mountain to your will and building a statue dedicated to the Rick Roll. It feels more than it is and that where I think they are trying what is obviously desperately to do. A month ago I would have called this a cash grab. An easy in and out. That was until they showed us their sets. Actually hand built crafted sets. They care for their models so much they have dedicated suit cases hand crafted for the props. That's money that just doesn't need to be spent but they did. Is it to scale. Not really is the game to scale hell no lol.
2:47 they reasershed alot about this for the movie yes But they said they are the disterd (kinda to do a movie like this) But everyone keeps forgetting about realistic Minecraft UA-cam genre
Imagine the new portal will be a portal into “New World” a portal from one Minecraft world to another. But to create the portal one would have to play for very long time and have the resources.
I'm not so sure the studio made a bad first trailer on purpose, especially because of the news we've received about they cancelling the sequel and a Steve Jack Black action figure. Jack Black even called the fans out, telling them they've got no right to complain, since Minecraft is made for kids, but then we were told he himself is a Minecraft fan, so... This is all very confusing. Why couldn't they just have said "wait till you see more of the movie to make any conclusions"?
One thing I noticed is the part where the kid leaves and comes back as steve as an adult to the same mines, the background doesn't change at all, so if this kid is steve then shouldn't the background of the mines change between the years when kid steve leaves the mines and when he returns as an adult?
I still don’t think this film will be good, it just looks foundational bad and very unoriginal with its writing and story (pretty much copying Jumanji). The only thing that will be good is all the references to minecraft elements and certain set pieces like the Minecart Ride or Elytra Chase scenes but the story, characters and overall contrast in art direction (having real people in a world that all blocks) will result in a mediocre film.
Honestly I'm surprised they even had the balls to make live action designs for the villagers. I would've assumed most people would accuse them of antisemitism
I like the trailer and I'm hoping the movie isn't boring, but the theme park is a complete waste and/or cheap cash grab. I wouldn't be surprised if it's never built or a giant flop. They should have just struck a deal with Universal, Disney, or some other theme park if they were going to do something like that.
