Many thanks for making this video so east to understand. I’m having the same thing done in my crafter. It’s made me more confident it’s worth it and does the job. 👍
Thanks for making this all so easy to understand. I'll be having the same thing done. Much appreciated... both the video pictures and the commentary. Thank you again. Best wishes, Pam
I have a drivers swivel from the same manufacturer which raises the drivers seat to clear the handbrake. The seats are almost the same height with this fitted to the drivers seat.
@@davidlavelle8653 I think the drivers seat one was about £185 or so. Yes they are quite expensive but these are M1 crash tested and very solidly built.
Hi I’ve got a 2017 crafter would I be able to just undo the 4 bolts holding my double seat down and just turn it round facing the living space instead of spending the £700 on a swivel base ? Thanks
Hi, there’s 6 bolts holding the double seat down not 4. It would be a right pain unbolting the seat then lifting it out to turn round before bolting it down again in my opinion. It would also depend how much room you had to move the seat around after you finish your build. Imagine trying to do this if it’s raining as well, the swivel base makes life so much easier and takes a couple of minutes to do.
@@luxduoverland674 thanks for your reply, my build is complete and I live in my van full time. I’ve got a r&j swivel drivers seat was thinking if It was possible to do rather then spending the money on a double swivel I’ve got plenty of room to unbolt it and turn it round in the van , do you think it’s possible? Both the seats lift up to access the bolts ? Thanks .
@@DIRTSEARCHER86 you can access the bolts easily enough just lift up the seats and you’ll see them. It’s possible I suppose just not something I would do myself. It’s a heavy seat and to unbolt and lift it out to turn around every time you want to set up would be too much hassle I think. The swivel base literally takes 5 mins and there’s no heavy lifting involved.
@@DIRTSEARCHER86 give it a go first as you say and see what you think, you may find it simple enough for what you want. Me personally I wouldn’t want the hassle of unbolting it chance fitting the swivel. Literally takes me five mins to turn all three seats.
Great video. Is it possible to spin the chair without the passenger door being open? Planning a winter trip with external window covers etc. So just a bit of planning ahead

What does it look like in the driving position with the seats being 70mm higher than the drivers?

@@luxduoverland674 that must have been about a grand then. Can’t believe the price of these metal brackets. 😬
