We Fitted The SAFEST Drivers Swivel Seat Base in our VW crafter self build campervan and recommend when it comes to safety you don't buy cheap copy swivel seats, This driver side swivel seat base was supplied to us by R&J Camper Solutions who are a UK company and have a proven track record for being one of the best and safest suppliers of swivel seat bases in the UK they are tested to M1 rating which is the highest safety rating in the UK. Nice little bit of editing there with the star bolts. Watching the banter has been definitely what I've needed. Though I will say, I'd have waaay too much fun swiveling that chair around.

Urban Explorer I’m amazed how many times I’ve seen ‘home made’ rear seats and diy rock and roll beds fitted with seatbelts on UA-cam. The owners clear intention to use when traveling - imagine the whole shenanigans flying forwards in a crash. M1 tested only, every time.

Just the normal crafter seats we find them comfy
@@UrbanVanlife cool. my van was a DHL delivery van so is missing the passenger seat completely.
Nice,I would drill a hole in the base so that you can lock the seat with a padlock in the turned away position to prevent drive away theft

the double seat is from this company mate , we originay bought the double from then and then they gave us the single as well , there both super safe

You're great at these tutorials! Star bolts sounds like a technical term to me lol. I'd probably wear these seats out spinning around all the time. Now I feel dizzy just thinking about it lol.

best thing to do is ring them mate and speak to them , there really lovely and there allways coming up with new stuff
Question... did you have to install 30mm longer arms?
The lowering bracket you need to install or the seat will catch on the hadbreak . If the breaks off it will turn but for £20 it’s worth doing I think

Yes we did got it for free but that’s after doing the video on the double swivel . WHICH WE PAID FOR . And I don’t see why any wouldn’t want people to buy the safest seat base out there I mean it’s not like we earn any commission for sales . It’s more about saftey and the fact that most of the seat bases people buy are not crash rated even tho they say they are .
urban explorer I can’t speak for everyone but there are million things that can kill you in a camper van collision long before the safety features of a swivel base kicks in. I’d be more concerned about the gas rupturing and fixtures coming at you from the back at 100mph in a serious collision because when that happens the safety and strength of the swivel is pointless. Your still dead?
all good points but rule in out the thing your strapped to flying out the window is only a bonus in my eyes , nothing can prepare you for the idiots on the road , but you can help your self by fitting safe goods
