I'm throwing caution to the wind and I'm going to have a go at doing this..... you made it look so easy....I just hope that stays the same for me.... cheers buddy great job.
Eddie Smallhorn there not ment to have any lube in them mate but people go mad with spraying all kinds of stuff i there and lets be honest for £8 which is like $10 wouldn’t you just replace it . Thanks for watching .
Tube Techie I’m mate it’s so nice not having to fight with it to open . It’s a job Iv been meaning to do for a while but kept putting off . And I don’t know why because it’s like a 15 min job and requires 1 tool lol . Thanks for watching bud
Excellent guide, well done. Others on youtube have shown this job and the way they did it was to remove the stopper at the end which also involves removing the plastic step cover. I thought that seemed unnecessary and after watching your video I can see it was, the new roller can be inserted from the front of the rail. Top job!
it might depend on the year an model bud , im not sure to be honest i know they changed a good few things from year to year and some of the things they changed seemed to be for no reason but to make repairs awkward , but i dont know , iv changed mine a few times now and thats how i have done it every time , thanks for watching mate glad it helped
@@UrbanVanlife Just finished this job on my mates van, it only took 5 minutes, there really is no need to remove the step or the stopper, roller went in at the front of the rail. His roller had seized and was flat on one side. Must have been like it for months.
So this video is pretty epic, so I decided I’d give you a bit of a comment, so I am 😇 haha but all jokes aside, that roller had seen better days. Nice easy job. I think the rust makes it look spookier than it really is to do. Liking the little tweaks you’ve done to the animations and your intro too 😎 good stuff! ⭐️
Beanie Draws cheers buddy . Yer it was a easy fix and man makes so much diff range to the door as well . I think Iv changed it 3 times now over 5 years but there cheep and pretty easy to do . And I love the new animations as well there kind of sexy
Was looking for help on fixing my sliding door this definitely makes me feel confident on fixing it myself... Also subscribed as soon as I saw the twenty one pilots hoodie! 🙌🏻😂

3D Plastic Fantasy yer it’s so much better . Iv been meaning to do it for a while but kept forgetting . And I no that rust was yuck but a lot of it was just surface rust which is good . Thanks for watching mate
Another great vid. Thumbs up all round. Jacked up the door (as on my own, shock!!) whip out knackered roller, clean up and fit newbie. 💣 jobs a gooden 🤙
cheers buddy , hope it helped , i changed ours a few times to be honest cos they dont seem to last long , but its an easy job , but a lot easier if some ones helping you
You put the new roller in from the front, whereas others say it has to go in from the back, with the catch plate off. Was it easy to get in place the way you did it?
John Taylor garages have overheads wages and all kinds of bills but a lot do over charge ,but al the jobs I show are things any one with little experience can do
Hi Neill. My screws won’t come Out. I’m gonna grind em off. I watched another video where they had to take the stop off from the back of the door. But my seat is over that part. It means me having to completely dismantle the seat. Where Wud i get bolts to replace the ones I have to grind off. Thanks bud.
Arrrr man I had the same problem . The only cure is to address the runner . It could be a easy fix or a job for the welder . Mine needed the welder cos them runners are a pain mate
@@UrbanVanlife it’s just come back from the welders as there was a hole in the bottom sill slider area at that start end and since they cut it think they cut too far and the runner is too short. Have notified them and made a video so be swinging her back now. Me and my dad been hours trying to figure it out and didn’t come across your video so been pulling the other end off and had to drill the top bolts out and replace as original and 24 years old 🤦🏼♀️ hope my welders get her in ASAP as need her working 🤞🏻🚎
it's a real shame that instead of saying what size torx screw you removed you played god awful muppet music instead. The screw size would have been a lot more beneficial.
Arrrr sorry mate ! The size it takes is the one that fits ,if you have any problems finding the right size let me know and I can see if my common sense can find out for you . And it’s a bolt buddy not a screw . Good luck butter cup
@@UrbanVanlife common sense you say? A person with common sense would not have let a van door get that way. Keep thinking you are relevant tho snow flake and keep up the magnificent muppetry for the lowly number of views you get LOL 😂

The vehicle jack is handy for supporting the door👍

it will be a little fidley mate but youll do it with ease and it will make so much differance
I am glad you cleaned the slider first and not just sprayed lubricant in there. Great video, love watching the mods that you are doing to the van.

I've just found your video so helpful! I was about to pay over £100 for this to be done. Great video.
Our thought process is give it a go yourself first and if we can do it anyone can 😬😬😬
@@UrbanVanlife i did it!!! the door nearly fell off the jack but it works now thanks to you's!!
Hi NEIL, " SO ,SO, SO " exellent video mate you explain and show everything with honesty and humor i hope you recycled the old roller.😂.
Lol it got recycled in the bin mate . The t4 runner really gets messy over time abs man they chew them rollers up big time

Hiya. What are the sizes are the bolts in the new roller. Got to grind mine off I reckon.
im pretty sure there m8 bolts , but you might need to go up a size if your driling out cos youll need to re top as well , keep that in mind bud
Mate nice hoodie |-/
Also great video but shame my whole door is buggered from rounding a carpark corner too tight
Lovin these DIY videos
