I was also thinking that maybe what he said he was afraid could happen, happened, that the adventurer would go off and something bad would happen to them and they'd stop visiting and so maybe he'd be angry/hurt and think they abandoned him and then he'd go to look for them maybe and found who hurt them and THAT was the person he ate? But it's kind of a stretch :')

Ramses was such a cute lil snake, once. The idea that he became the powerful -and terrifying- naga we see later on in order to protect the people he cares about is a lovely touch! Wish I'd seen this video sooner, but such is life.
