I just realized: our lil snakey boi, our sweet Naga Ramses, is the snake that devoured the world from the Dragon Familiar‘s tale?! The sheer amount of threads connecting and rewiring in my brain right now is incredible 😵💫
How tragic would it have been for the listener to realize how much their Ramses has changed since they left him? The old Ramses could scarcely fathom harming someone, but now he has faced so much violence over 300 years that he instinctively attacks a stranger who scarcely poses a threat to him
The way he slipped back into what I assume is his natural ton of voice when he realized it was us was just 🥰😭. It’s like we’re back in the cave all over again.
Two things I loved most about this is him fuming over the marking like how I imagine most teachers do irl and the quick transition from a deadly nope rope to our sweet little cuddle noodle. Breaks my heart to him realise he nearly harmed his old adventurer friend.
It’s bittersweet, slowly saying our goodbyes to this world, these stories and lives. Losing some and finding others. Tying up the threads and also come to terms with all the unraveled parts. I already know I’m going to cry every time I listen to these. This one was more sweet than bitter. Finding old love and old self, as close to a happy ending as can be in a complicated world. ❤

I loved how he changed when he realized he was the adventurer he knew and loved as a family coming back from the dead. I hope this can lead to a new adventure where new bonds can be made (so sad about the death of Ryou and the adventurer though😕🥺).
And remember kids, it always pays to be kind. Smile at people to make their day! Help an old lady across the street so she can buy her groceries a little faster! Lie to a friend so that your student doesn't immediately get expelled, so they'll do you a solid by stopping everyone's souls from being sacrificed when the gate between life and death is broken, allowing you to reunite with your long lost love that you murdered 300 years ago!
If I'm being honest, this was an amazing way to wrap up Ramses' story (as well as tie up other loose ends in regards to what happened with Arcane Academy). I loved how Ramses' voice changed when he discovered who actually arrived in his classroom. I'm also glad that the adventurer not only listened to him pour his soul out, but forgave him for the mistakes he had made over the years. All in all, you did an awesome job as always! I'm glad that Ramses was at least able to receive his own happy ending!
Our little snake Boi is all grown up. 😍😍😍😍😍😆😆😆😆😆😆 He may have gotten more confidence and Became Braver with a bit of a violent streak but he's still our loveable bb snake deep down. Also the panic in his voice when he realized it was you he almost killed hurt my heart.
Aaaaaaaaah hearing him take off the hood and immediately turn back into our lil scared baby 🐍 was amazing! Fantastic work! I hope they share many great new adventures together ❤️

I'm finally getting around to finishing this series and I'm on the verge of being such a mess. As a writer, this world is so well crafted and as a listener I'm so attached to these characters. This boy! This man! Oh, how he grew, and how he broke, and how I loved and hurt for him! I'm so sad for this to be the end because I'd love to know how Ramses and his Adventurer rebuild their lives together over the following years. This was lovely and I'm just glad that at least this little corner of this world has a somewhat happy ending.
