This is the coolest light released in a long time
You can modify GT nano to improve it: use the body and tail of a Lumintop Tool AAA and a 10440 battery and you get 4 times more battery charge, bigger throw (350m instead of 300m), a clip. You can also use the tail with button working as a physical lock to avoid turning the flashlight on accidentally by the side button. Try it.
Just need to find my AAA tool!!!
If you don't find it, try other AAA sized flashlight body. Some fit with GT nano head.

I don't have one. But looking at a video of it I would say there is a possibility to fit even better than Tool AAA. The screw thread at the end of the body of EDC01 look to be the same.

What do you use to measure lux or lumens been trying to figure out a way to test my different setups and test different LEDs to know what's actually brighter curious what you use to test the stuff.

Damn... Nano battery holder outer diameter: 12.86mm. AAA tool outer diameter: 13.16mm
I will try to get rid of that .3-.4mm, but out of the box the bigger barrel does not reach the nano's driver.
I carefully filed off some metal from the AAA tool's battery holder, and now it is a perfect fit! Also, it is easier to hold. Hooray :D

Idk if the tool aaa and edc01 had the same threads but yeah. Edc01 is a better choice cheaper and smaller but hey, the tool aaa's switch can be used as a lockout function. Lol

I think until technology catches up and is able to put more power into that little battery, it's more of a novelty collectable than an EDC.
I can't believe a cell so small can power 500 lumens at turn on. I'm not sure what the mAh rating is.

Just got one. Could you help me to get the button light to work. I'm having some difficulty with programming it.
What does that little sticker mean on the top right hand corner of the front of the box… a circle with diagonal white line through the middle?

I have this light and I actually like it more than I thought I would but it needs more run time.
I was told by lumintops amazon staff that it would work with a 1.5v aaa, but from my testing, that's incorrect, and it won't give any light.

What is the Tailcap Amps of this flashlight at turbo
Lumintop is selling the tube for 10440, but warns that in the "black" Nano, in high mode, it can burn the LED, but in copper and brass version GT Nano has no issue with the 10440 battery, can you tell me why?

It's a neat light but battery capacity is way too small for any practical use. I think anything less than a 14500 is pretty useless. The ultimate pocket thrower is still the GT Micro, which will likely be beaten by the upcoming Fireflies T1R.
This is a keyring torch not a EDC pocket torch I think it's perfect for a keyring as most of the current offerings have non replaceable battery's which to my mind are a design fail! (Especially for the environment!) And all other 10180s are twistys which end up being junk! And I picked mine up for £20 which is a bargain!

@@shadowmaster8020 The IF25 handles heat better and is simpler to use. Tint selection is awesome. Type C charging and 21700 for runtimes.
In mine, step down timed only works in high mode, not in turbo, and the flashlight does not turn off from high mode, I have to access the turbo and then turn it off, is it normal?

I really wonder why they didn't use the 0.5mm² osram LED CELMM1 (Boost HM)... also I decided against buying this little guy when I saw the price and that no safe 10440 option is available. Also jeez, that stepdown is annoying. Wondering if it's due to heat or battery voltage sag...

Funny I don't see any major step down on my one 🤔 it does get dimmer but no massive step down. This is a keyring torch not a full on EDC! You are not going to run it for hrs on end.
Have this light and can confirm that it's to protect the 10180 battery. When I use a 10440 battery, the thing turbos for like 5 minutes.
@@Spolt_main It's not actually to protect the cell (the driver has no idea what cell is connected to it, might as well be a 21700 cell for all it knows). It's just that the voltage sags a lot on a 10180 when current is being drawn, causing the light's low voltage protection to kick in quite early.

Buy alternatives to lumintop. I bought a Thor 1 that had manufacturer defects on the tail cap. I contacted their customer service twice and included pictures and a video but they never responded. I then bought one of their lights from Amazon in part to be able to contact lumintop through a different channel. They responded but were no help and told me to fix it myself. Unfortunately with these Chinese companies, once they have your money, they will ignore you. They could have had a lifetime customer if they handled it appropriately, but I won't buy another one of their lights.
