I had to disconnect wiring and twist that impeller counterclockwise to detach and clean the unit and the inside housing for the impeller. Some crud, but nothing that should have stopped the draining process. After cleaning and testing I found a piece of glass on the floor that had fallen out of the impeller unit when I disassembled. After cleaning, I put it back on and twisted clockwise to properly seal the impeller to the housing. Thanks for the video that led me down the path - was probably one of the kids breaking a glass and the small piece found its way to the impeller.
Thank you so much!! My 13 month old out of warranty dishwasher stopped working and I did what your instructions said and found stuff in the impeller, which I cleaned out and now it works like new! Thanks for saving me a non-warranty service call and probably at least one hundred bucks!
Thanks for the video. Mine was a piece of glass jamming the impeller, so a different problem. But your video got me going down a different path than I'd been pursuing!
This helped me fix our Kenmore Elite dishwasher. I also used a shop vac and sucked up as much as I could from the hose and impeller side. Not sure where the clog or issue was for sure. But its draining again. Thanks for the gimmicky selling points. The reason these are hyped as being so quiet is because they no longer have a garbage disposer included. You pay more for less in the end. This unit has not been that great to me. It was not worth $1k
Omg thank you! I hate this dishwasher 😭 it’s too much work. Never have I ever had to clean my dishwasher so much 🙈
Thanks Al,
I hate to say it, but you need to rinse your dishes first🙀

Nice job Tom😊👍
That's a slick looking dishwasher
Thank you!!! Cleaning the tubes air vent on the sink and it was completely caked with food. Drains great and saved us from getting a new dishwasher!
That’s what I love to hear😊
Unclogging the air gap drain fixed it for me, thank you so much!
Awesome, thank you😊
thanks for this! the drain button solved my problem (so far).
Very good
How do you change the filter?
Can you send that same question to my email: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
I spent an hour taking that part apart - water all over my hardwood floors and found absolutely nothing.

Ours doesn’t have an air gap 🤔
Great video! Way to easy though.lol I have the appliance guy coming over at noon today. My system is clear. I’m thinking the board?
Never new the button hold would start drainage. 👍🤘👊
Pretty cool👍
Here is idea. Make sure you don't have toothpicks on the plates before you but them in the dishwasher.
Yep,
You’re right😊
In my case, I had replaced my disposal and didn't realize there was a plug that had to be punched out to open the inlet for the dishwasher.
Very nice😊👍
Who puts toothpicks in the dishwasher?
😂😂😂
What is the make and model of this dishwasher? I like it
