- The About Vintage 1926 At Sea Automatic came with just a nylon strap, so I ordered a stainless steel bracelet on Lazada and documented the process.

Awesome tutorial Eve 👌 👍
Thank you so much for watching! 😁😁😁
What a great tutorial Eve! Clear and concise! I dig the tip on flattening the end links to get the perfect fitment without scratching it. And you already know I agree about the link removal for the best fit haha. Awesome vid! 😎🍻🙌
Thanks Dave!!! 🤣
I was struggling with getting the end link lined up, I was trying to line it up from the side instead of using the tabs and pushing it in from the top. You made it look so easy and I got it on my first try on both links. Great video!
@@MarkusArkus5 i’m so glad you were able to do it! 😁 Thanks for stopping by!
Great job, Eve. Thanks!
Thanks David! 😁
Great video Eve 👏
Thanks Miguel! 😁
Nice video! This will be very useful for those not used to changing or sizing bracelets. Btw I always thought my children's favorite pastime was watching me change bracelets, until they told me when they got older that the real fun was searching the floor, carpets and couches for flying springbars! 😂
Hahahahhahahaha!!! OMG the flying spring bars. 🤣 One time, I lost one at the back of the table. I put a roll of masking tape at the end of a bamboo stick just so I could fish out the spring bar.
@@AliasEveWatches 😂😂😂
Cant tell you how many times I have resized a bracelet only to get the orientation wrong haha. Thanks for the tips Eve!
You're welcome Johan!! The orientation of the clasp hasn't been a problem but my problem is always overestimating how many links to remove. 😅
It happens haha! Sometimes it is hard because you are between links. Add one and its too long, remove one and it is too tight.
@@johanvandersandt8904 It's especially hard when it's a butterfly clasp with no microadjustments 😔
@@AliasEveWatches Amen to that!
Great vid eve, very clear and easy to understand 👍and for 5 dollar that's a smart looking bracelet.
Thanks Jerry! I'm glad you found it clear and easy to understand. 😁 This bracelet was really a bargain and I think there's a lot more to be found.
Even though I 've been through these processes myself for quite some occassions now, I really dig how you presented this and showed the how-to in a very pedagogic way and in a surprisingly short video. Great job. May I add, and maybe I speak for myself - but I personally find it way more difficult dealing/fiddling with solid end links than pressed ones (if you e.g. want to try a strap instead - and even worse, putting the braclet back again after regrets lol). And you also showed how easily the pressed end links might be adjusted with a proper tool.
I'm glad you liked the presentation method here! 😄 On end links, I've had a different experience. I had difficulty with my folded end links on a Seiko 5, sweating for half an hour just getting the end links back into place. But other bracelets, hollow and solid, i didnt have much of a problem with them. I think it's really down to the specific watch!
Nice video, thanks for that! I own and collect a lot of watches that are e.g. older than 20 or 30 years. Often the original spare links are no longer available. Therefor I always have a bunch of Aliexpress bracelets at home in reserve. From 2 Euro up to 30 Euro. Your watch with the new bracelet looks amazing! Fits perfect and just looks great 👍👍👍
Thanks Holger! This watch came with just a nylon strap so I'm just happy to have found a cheap but nice bracelet for it. 😁 I've seen some expensive bracelets and they're tempting but in the end i prefer to be practical and choose a basic bracelet.
Great info vid, Eve, thank you🙂👍. Been a few times I've put the bracelet on backwards. That bracelet looks fantastic. This looks kind of jubilee, rocking the retro..
Yes! It's a jubilee-style, according to the listing. 😁 It really does add that retro vibe to an already retro-style watch!
@@AliasEveWatches🙂🙂🙂
Nice vid Eve. That looks like a very decent bracelet for 5$. Depending on the watch, it might be possible to find non-oem solid endlinks. Especially if the lug cutout in the case is similar to some Seiko models.
Thanks Andrei! I like the quality level especially for the price. I don't really mind the end link, I just think it's a blessing in disguise since it wasn't a perfect fit with this watch -- so I'm thinking at least in the future, I don't have to worry about end links fitting since I can sort of adjust it. 😁
@@AliasEveWatches Yep, that is the benefit of hollow endlinks. I've seen people even mill off some excess metal to adjust the curvature of these endlinks to better integrate with some watch cases.
@@AnCar88 That sounds more troublesome!
Nice tutorial and the band looks great 👍
Thanks James!
Great DIY video!
Thank you P! 😄
Having one more link at the 12 always works for me perfectly, even if I'm taking out even number of links 😄
Thanks! Perhaps it really depends on the shape of someone's wrist. I prefer my watch to be a little bit closer towards me. 😅
great idea on fixing the end links hahaha.. big brains

I'm curious where you shop. I'll be visiting Manila later in the year with my wife and was looking to do a bit of watch shopping. Maybe I'm completely off, but do you shop at Greenbelt at the Ayala Mall? It looks vaguely familiar but I might be totally offbase.
I mostly shop online at Lazada/Shopee😅 -- with watch shopping in the Philippines, it would really depend on what you're looking for. Greenbelt is a great place to check out luxury watches since a lot of the big watch brands are there like Patek, Rolex, Cartier, JLC, Breitling, AP, Panerai (but now im not sure of they're open because I haven't been there since 2019). The other good place to check out for high end brands is Shangrila Plaza in Mandaluyong. If you're looking through affordable watches, I'd suggest SM Megamall.
This is a link to the short i made last year on window shopping in Shangrila Mall ua-cam.com/users/shortsAY0DTeTSdRY?feature=share
This one is for Powerplant Mall in Rockwell Makati. The selection is not as big as Greenbelt though. ua-cam.com/users/shortsz4fQyjuIKuo?feature=share
@@AliasEveWatches Nice! thank you for sharing. Will have to check it out!
Are the middle links on that bracelet solid as well?
These ones are hollow in the middle, only the sides are solid
