Black Myth: Wukong is an upcoming action role-playing game by Chinese indie developer Game Science, based on the classical 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West. The game has been described as Souls-like. The player controls a monkey with an uncanny resemblance to the titular character referred to in the game as "the Destined One" to fight through an assortment of enemies, with abilities to transform into flying insects or a giant monster.

Would be interesting to play monkey king to kill gods and buddhas. Of course alongside their pet demons. This game looks really smooth in action. Hope its smooth on release.

Actually it won't flop wukong is a character well known by all Chinese and the price they set is not expensive 268 rmb,price will be up a bit when it come to other platform I guess will be at 40 usd.

Appears to be a boss rush, doesn't seem to have a gameplay loop of any kind. Looks good, but definitely a wait and see for me.

@@mege2097 I don't know, I watched that 18 minute gameplay vid from last year and there were only 2 encounters with grunt type enemies. Being this close to release and not seeing any form of a gameplay loop to balance boss and mini boss encounters is a little worrying.
Yes and i wonder if there is some kind of exploration, power ups, optional stuff etc.

You never know. There could be a skill tree that adds a Perry option.
There is its a skill point investment though so you dont have it off the bat. You do get perfect evade immediately though

It's based on one of the most famous fantasy series ever written, so I'd say ya, it's probably going to have a story.

Pretty sure it's a soulslike but won't be as hard. I think it'll be Stellar Blade and maybe Demon Souls or Elden Ring level. It does show a difference in the boss difficulty when u watch some of the fights
