In my opinion I don't think C!Sam can be fully redeemed. He has done too many selfish and messed up stuff. BUT. I do want to see a small plotline where Sam get attached to Michael, and Michael grows to like him more (maybe sam can become a sort of chaotic good uncle). So later, when Tubbo and Techno come to kill him, Michael stands up to them and protects Sam. But they reveal all the terrible stuff that Sam has done, so Michael loses faith in him. And after some emotional shenanigans, Sam can truly begin redeeming himself.
I see what you're going for with this explanation but it's actually dangerously close to a horrible scenario where Michael will get stockholm syndrome and be too attached to Sam. And destroying Michael's moral compass making Tubbo and Techno "the bad guys".
c!Sam basically sacrificed his entire moral compass to keep c!Dream in the prison, it was the only thing that mattered to him for a while. He cut off Ponks arm, let Tommy die, and a bunch of other bad stuff all because he thought he was justified to keep Dream locked up. Sam couldn't bear to let Dream escape, because then he would've lost lots of his friendships for nothing. He still cares about his friends/moral compass, but he pretends not to care, maybe so that it hurts less. Edit: I can't tell whether this animatic aged like milk or wine but it sure did age
Sam is so gonna get attached to Michael. Lmao the kid became his new prisoner and he'd probably want to do better with someone who hadn't actually done anything wrong
Can't wait for Sam to start to make an emotional attachment to Micheal and also OH MY GOD that was an incredible animatic with great multiple frames. Some scenes were so smooth, the colors were beautiful and I liked the transitions to each scene so much.
c!Sam is such a good character, having to compartmentalize his emotions as the Warden (and losing sight of his own hypocrisy in the process), but with his friends outside of work is the immature jokester we see and love through Hannah, Puffy, Bad, and everyone else's streams. And this animation is just a gorgeous reminder that at the end of the day, he's just another guy that's struggling to figure out his purpose.
As someone who finds c!Awesamdude facinating as a character, I appreciate this animatic. The composition of the shots and the plotline are really cool as well. I love the touch of Sam taking of his mask before turning off the prison lights, how he changed out of his armor, and how he held his hands up to show Michael that he didn't mean any harm. Michael's quivering hands and holding out the sword in front of him was so cute and another amazing detail. Great job on the animatic!

c!Sam was a bad person, I’ll give you that, but let’s be honest, once he became the warden it was his responsibility and his alone, to keep Dream in there, AND let’s not forget he probably did this to make up for siding with Dream and building the prison in the first place. I feel like he was trying to atone for joining Dream by becoming the warden, so of course he wouldn’t want Dream to escape, then (from his perspective) everyone would still hate him, pr worse, they might think Sam had still been allied with Dream and let him out… While c!Sam was definitely a character who lacked a morale compass and did bad things, I feel like he meant well and that he wanted others to like him for keeping Dream locked up, so while what he did WAS awful, I think there was a reason we can all empathize with.

Michael sees how Sam murdered his chicken and that scared him into thinking it would happen to him. I think Sam gave him a play sword for that reason, so he feels safer around him. That's why Michael raised his sword at Sam but eventually realised he wasn't going to hurt him. These two are cute together but I would definitely like Ranboo, Tubbo and Michael back together. Even if it was Ghostboo not Ranboo. It feels like half of Snowchester is missing without Michael.
I would love it if Sam started to become attached to Michael. Honestly I when I found out he killed Ranboo and kidnapped Michael I was a little ticked at C!Sam. But if he has a nice redemption arc, It would make things better
When I worked with Atris on prison designs, one of the key features was that- if it wasn't under attack, which would have alerts, or during visits- there would be no need for guards. A platform floating amidst a lava box can keep the prisoner contained without them able to break any meaningful blocks without items and a 37 item carryover between rooms can verify their inventory- also works on the visitor- so watching them is pointless. Don't join the accused in their sentence.
I'm just saying, you have the talent, this could be beside a Sad-ist animatic in a competition and I would give it the same score, it's a great quality animation. Keep it up!!

I feel C!Sam is a misunderstood character. People hate him for a lot of things he's done, but in reality, he's trying to do what he thinks is right, but mistakenly does the wrong thing for the right reason. He's just now realizing that he's been doing it wrong. He's finally learning from his mistakes.
C! Sam is "you became what you swore to destroy." *before you read this! I am not a sam apologist.* He had great intentions, but trying to keep dream in that cell drove him into madness. He denys that he's evil, because he didn't think what he was doing was wrong. The only think that mattered was Dream being in the cell, he wanted to protect everyone, so, in the process he did things because all that crossed his mind was "prison." And "Dream". C! Sam has been through quite a bit however, being trapped in the egg for 7 hours, everyone relying on you to keep the main villian in the cell, and kinda being manipulated by dream, and quackity to, because Quackity wanted him to kill dream and said *"Las nevadas will have no place for emotions of feelings."* honestly, I would go insane at that point to. He wanted to get Tommy out, however, the security flaw would put many others in danger, so it was really 1 life unsafe or the whole server is unsafe. He had to keep Tommy in the cell, same goes with Ghostbur but there was no security flaw. He had let Dream be tortured because he killed Tommy, and Quackity wanted the revival book, and honestly, I'm not a sam apologist or anything, Dream kinda deserved being tortured. Like, he tortured children, and killed one, and being locked in a cell wouldn't do anything. Now, for Ponks arm, the keys yes, they didn't work, but you could make new keys with the old ones. (Sorry if this is wrong, not to good with the prison lore stuff.) However Ponk didn't deserve his arm being cut off, or the torture . Now for kidnapping a child. Tubbo and Ranboo rarley took care of Michael, and he almost died from Sapnap and George , and he would've if he wasn't kidnapped at the end of punz and Hannah v George and sapnap, looser kills Michael game. Honestly, shouldn't you take more care of your child? Also , leaving him in a mansion alone ? Ranboos death, honestly, I don't think Sam wanted to. He was a pawn, and since they didn't believe his threats he ended up having to. But hey, he still shouldn't of killed Ranboo. C! Sam really has gone downhill, he started off as this charcter who never got into any sort of drama or anything at the start. Now he's a villian in our history.

Oh this is PHENOMENAL. The animation is so smooth and the lighting is so good!! Sam clicking off all the lights of the prison until it descends into darkness was so good. I really like how you edited all the audio. The moment of Sam looking down at his hand and seeing the blood on it was such a good moment! I really liked how he remembered torturing ponk as well!! The animation of the flames was so good!!

I'm not going to describe everything that the others write (and it's so clear that c!Sam's apologists are here, including me), I'll just say that it hurts a lot.
